Liberal employees working for both Playstation and Netflix were “seething” after each company issued internal memos urging workers to be more understanding of opposing viewpoints.
Staff at Sony Group Corp. complained to Bloomberg this week after Playstation CEO Jim Ryan sent a memo addressing several topics, including the abortion debate sweeping the nation.
“We owe it to each other and to PlayStation’s millions of users to respect differences of opinion among everyone in our internal and external communities,” Ryan wrote. “Respect does not equal agreement. But it is fundamental to who we are as a company and as a valued global brand.”
Employees were upset Ryan didn’t take a stand in support of abortion as other corporations have done.
According to Bloomberg, several Playstation staff members expressed “anger and disappointment over the tone of the letter and its lack of a stance in support of reproductive rights.”

Conservative commentator Ann Coulter joked on Twitter, “What an [expletive]! Respect differences of opinion? [expletive] you, Mr. PlayStation!”
Meanwhile, woke employees of the streaming platform Netflix are also upset with a company memo issued this week.
In a newly-revised “company culture” memo, Netflix added an “anti-censorship” section explaining to employees that they’ll sometimes have to work on projects that don’t align with their beliefs.
The memo even said, “Netflix may not be the best place” for employees who “find it hard to support” the platform’s content.
“Entertaining the world is an amazing opportunity and also a challenge because viewers have very different tastes and points of view,” the Netflix memo stated. “So we offer a wide variety of TV shows and movies, some of which can be provocative. To help members make informed choices about what to watch, we offer ratings, content warnings and easy-to-use parental controls.”
This change in tone from the company comes after some employees recently protested a comedy special by Dave Chappelle.
Breitbart News isn’t buying the alleged crackdown on woke culture, suggesting it’s a ploy to save the company as its stocks implode.
