Phoenix Pastor Arrested After Placing Hidden Cameras in Women’s Bathrooms

A pastor in Phoenix has been arrested after being accused of secretly recording women in the bathroom of his church. Arturo Laguna, listed as a pastor on Casa de Adoración’s Facebook page, allegedly placed a hidden camera in the women’s restroom of the church, located near 27th Avenue and McDowell.

The accusations came to light after a camera reportedly fell out of a dryer in the bathroom while a woman was changing her baby’s diaper. The discovery led to an investigation by law enforcement.

Detectives obtained a screenshot that appeared to show Laguna fixing the camera in the restroom. During an interview with police, Laguna admitted to installing the camera in October. Authorities reviewed the SD card from the device and reported finding four short videos of adult women using the bathroom.

Laguna now faces serious charges related to invasion of privacy. The church and its congregation are reeling from the allegations, and local authorities are continuing their investigation.

Earlier this year, a transgender pastor said in an interview that God created “man and woman” as well as “everyone else.”

“There are a lot of people who say that, according to the Bible, God created man and woman, and that couldn’t be more clearly defined,” the interviewer asked. “How do you respond to them?”

“It’s hard to relate it to modern-day times b/c it wasn’t written for 2024. It was written for then,” the pastor said. “When we read in the scripture that God created man and woman, yes, and god created everyone else, as well.”
