Phoenix Man Indicted For Threatening Donald Trump and Family

A Phoenix-area man has been indicted by a grand jury for allegedly threatening President-elect Donald Trump and his family, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

The suspect, identified as Manuel Tamayo-Torres of Tolleson, Arizona, faces multiple charges, including making threats against the president and successors to the presidency, making a false statement while purchasing a firearm, and possessing a firearm while under an order of protection.

Prosecutors allege that in November, Tamayo-Torres posted threats on social media, stating he intended to harm the President-elect and his family. In one of the posts, he reportedly displayed a firearm while making threatening statements. Authorities later located that firearm, along with others, in his home.

Tamayo-Torres was arrested on November 25 in San Diego and remains in custody pending a detention hearing in the District of Arizona. This case highlights the seriousness with which law enforcement treats threats against public officials and the importance of addressing such acts swiftly to ensure public safety.
