Pentagon Nears Agreement with Boy Scouts Rebrand

The Pentagon is nearing an agreement with Scouting America, formerly known as Boy Scouts of America, to continue financial support so long as it moves away from woke policies.

Department of War spokesperson Sean Parnell announced that the Pentagon has been “reviewing its relationship with Scouting America,” which he said has “lost its way.”

He explained that “for more than a decade now, Scouting America’s leadership has made decisions that run counter to the values of this administration and this Department of War, including an embrace of DEl and other social justice, gender-fluid ideological stances.” These actions are “unacceptable,” Parnell said.

Upon reviewing its ties to Scouting America, Parnell said the organization “remains far from perfect, but they have firmly committed to a return to core principles. Back to God and country—immediately!”

“Scouting America and the Department of War are near a final agreement where we believe we can continue our partnership with Scouting America, as long as the organization rapidly implements the common-sense, core value reforms,” he added. “They are on the clock, and we are watching.”

The former Boy Scouts of America announced its name change in 2024 in an effort to be more inclusive, as both boys and girls have joined the organization. The rebrand took effect in February 2025. “The fact that we were going with a more kind of gender-neutral name, a lot of people kind of wanted to know more about it,” President and CEO Roger Krone said in a statement at the time.
