CNN ‘Hemorrhaging Viewers,’ Ratings Down 54% Overall, Down 60% In Key Demographic

Adding to weeks of reports of dwindling ratings, CNN has been “hemorrhaging viewers” since President Joe Biden took office on Inauguration Day. According to reports, CNN’s ratings are “down more than 50 percent in multiple categories” since January 20.

“The liberal network spent years attacking former President Donald Trump and the network thrived during his final days in office amid a brief post-election spike. CNN averaged 2.2 million viewers during the first three weeks of 2021, but it has averaged just one million viewers since Biden took office, a staggering decline of 54 percent,” reported Fox News.

This drop in on-screen fortunes began when Donald Trump left office. In March, The Daily Wire reported that “CNN has lost about a million viewers on average,” since Biden entered office, with CNN “drawing nearly 50% fewer viewers in the key 24-54 age group.”

Some conservatives were initially worried in early January when, after dominating cable news ratings for two decades, Fox News received “lower TV ratings than both CNN and MSNBC at the same time for the first time since 2000” in the week of the US Capitol riots.

“From Election Day through Inauguration Day, when Democrat Joe Biden was sworn in to succeed Trump as president, CNN was the most-watched cable news network in both total viewers (1.8 million),” reported USA Today. Mediaite reported that “MSNBC was the most-watched network in all of cable” on Friday January 22, with CNN dropping to third overall in prime time.

MyPillow CEO’s free speech social network will ban posts that take the Lord’s name in vain

(The Verge) After a public break with Facebook and Twitter, MyPillow founder Mike Lindell is getting close to the launch of a new conservative-focused social network, giving more detail on the project in a video posted online this week. Called simply “Frank,” the social network plans to open its doors to a limited set of users on April 16th.

Developed in the months since the 2020 election, Lindell has described the project as a combination of “print, radio, and TV,” offering both text posts and live stream capability. Perhaps the strangest promise is that conservative personalities will have significantly more followers on the fledgling network.

“People are going to have more followers,” Lindell said in a March interview with Steve Bannon, “10 times more followers.”

He missed a court appearance on April 2, and a warrant was issued for his arrest, which is the one that appeared on a police search before he was shot dead

Daunte Wright choked a woman and threatened to shoot her if she did not hand over $820 she had stuffed in her bra, court papers obtained by DailyMail.com allege.

Wright was shot and killed by police officer Kimberly Potter in Minnesota on Sunday, leading to days of unrest.

Court records also show that a warrant was out for Wright’s arrest after he missed a court appearance on separate firearms charges at the time he was killed.

Favre’s comments come after Major League Baseball’s decision to move their All-Star Game out of Atlanta in response to Georgia’s Election integrity Act of 2021. His views on keeping sports and politics separate don’t put him in the minority. In fact, whether the Left wants to admit it or not, Americans have little interest in being bombarded with social justice messaging and political activism while sitting down to watch their favorite team play.

Declining sports television ratings tend to support Favre’s statement. Even the NBA, after seeing viewership decline during the NBA restart in Orlando, decided they had better tone down the political rhetoric during games for the 2020-2021 season.

Fully Vaccinated Person Dies of COVID-19 in Texas, Officials Say

A person who was fully vaccinated against the virus that causes COVID-19 died of the disease in Texas, officials announced Friday.

One of the 15 deaths reported in Dallas County was an immunocompromised individual who had received two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine but was a solid organ transplant patient, Judge Clay Jenkins, the top elected official in the county, said in a statement.

“Immunocompromised individuals are still vulnerable to this deadly virus even after vaccination. If you have family members who are high-risk, it’s critical that you get the vaccine and avoid large crowds so that you can best protect them,” Jenkins said.

COVID-19 is the disease caused by the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus.

Fully vaccinated refers to a person who has received two shots of the Moderna or Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines or the single-shot Johnson & Johnson jab, followed by a period of at least two weeks.

Roughly 5,800 Americans have contracted COVID-19 despite being fully vaccinated against the CCP virus, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) told The Epoch Times on Thursday. The figures were for cases through April 13.

The federal health agency declined to provide a state-by-state breakdown.

Of the fully vaccinated people who still contracted COVID-19, 74 died.

But a CDC spokesperson said the figures were not unexpected, given that no COVID-19 vaccine provides more than 95 percent protection. As of April 15, more than 78 million people were fully vaccinated against the virus in the United States.

Dershowitz to Newsmax TV: ‘Disaster’ to Add More Supreme Court Justices

It would be a “disaster for the Supreme Court” if a Democrat bill to add four more justices to the bench is approved, Harvard Law Professor Alan Dershowitz said on Newsmax TV Saturday.

“It would be a disaster for the Supreme Court and it would be a disaster for freedom of speech and due process,” Dershowitz said on Newsmax TV’s “Saturday Report.” “If the Democrats get a chance to pack the court, they’ll pack it with radical opponents of free speech and due process, people who call themselves progressives but are really regressives.”

The legislation was announced Thursday and appears to be a try by progressive Democrats to pressure President Joe Biden less than a week after he announced a commission to study reforms to the nation’s highest court, including the question of expanding the bench.

Liberal Democrats say the expansion is needed after former President Donald Trump was able to seat three of his picks during his time in the White House, including Justice Amy Coney Barrett, who was seated just eight days before the November election.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has said she does not favor the expansion, but Dershowitz pointed out Saturday that in her comments, she said that times have changed and there may still be regional and other considerations that require expanding the number of justices.

“That’s total nonsense,” Dershowitz said. “The Supreme Court is the most underworked institution in the American government. They decide fewer than 100 cases a year. They have four or five law clerks each and they don’t work all that hard.”

He added that there is no real reason to expand the number of justices, except to add people who are the “ideological” match of people like Rep. Jerry Nadler, D-N.Y., in the court.

“If the Democrats manage to do this, and they can do it just legislatively, they don’t need a constitutional amendment,” Dershowitz added.

However, he warned that the next time Republicans are in power, they can also come in and add more justices.

Further expansions will destroy the credibility and integrity of the court, he also argued.
“Alexander Hamilton once called the Supreme Court the least dangerous branch because it has neither sword nor purse,” said Dershowitz. “It has to rely on its own integrity and neutrality. This is an attempt to destroy the Supreme Court. I hope it won’t work.”

However, Biden’s commission to study the court has a “number of extreme radicals on it,” said Dershowitz, who will “do anything to help the Democratic Party.”
