Michael Savage Warns of Civil War — ‘You Should Be Very Frightened’

Discussing everything from culture and immigration to race and violence, foreign policy and the media, as well as the economy and privacy concerns, conservative radio legend Michael Savage on Friday warned of a civil war which awaits the U.S. if the left continues to launch assaults on all that Americans hold dear.

On his latest weekly podcast, Savage discussed a broad range of issues he sees as breeding grounds for an impending civil war.

“What we are seeing is a civil war,” Savage said, before questioning if it can be stopped.

Savage then described the “assault” as emanating from all sides and the wars “raging right here at home,” including the “war against the middle class, the suburbs, and white men.”

“We are under assault from both inside and out as our government moves to consolidate its domestic power, while at the same time weakening our defenses against the growing power of our global enemies like China,” he said.

“The media and this administration’s relentless assault on our borders, language, and culture has expanded to include an assault on every one of our fundamental values and institutions.  They are out to destroy a once righteous and heroic America and replace it with a leftist government defined by immorality and greed.”

“We’ve come to a situation that may threaten our existence as a nation,” he added. “Everybody knows something is wrong.”

In what he described as a “very dangerous and sensitive and frightening topic,” Savage claimed, “America is in a crisis.”

“It could happen here. It could all collapse,” he said as he warned not to become complacent.

“You should be very frightened right now,” he added. “We need to galvanize every liberty-loving American. A line must be drawn.”

Government

Referring to Biden as a “rogue president” and the country’s political machinery as “broken,” Savage claimed those who had hoped Trump’s loss would put an end to the country’s divisiveness were very wrong.

LeBron James, Lakers Will Not Visit Biden During DC Trip

LeBron James would not visit the White House when President Trump was in office, and he won’t visit Joe Biden there either, at least for now.

Citing NBA Covid restrictions and scheduling conflicts, the Lakers will not visit the White House when they play the Wizards in Washington later this month, USA Today reports.

After 2016, White House visits became a contentious political issue as the Golden State Warriors, Toronto Raptors, Philadelphia Eagles, and other pro and college teams snubbed White House invites in protest of Trump.

Biden’s election was hailed by activist NBA stars such as Steph Curry and LeBron James.

After Biden gained the presidency, Steph Curry tweeted at James: “Yoooo @KingJames y’all can go to the White House and celebrate y’all title G!”

While champions from the major pro and collegiate sports leagues typically visit the White House to be honored for their achievements, no such visit has taken place since 2016, when LeBron James, then a member of the Cleveland Cavaliers, made the trip to visit President Obama.

Democrat Efforts to Expand Supreme Court ‘Biggest Assault’ on the Rule of Law: Graham

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) said this week that efforts to expand the Supreme Court will likely “destroy” the rule of law and politicize the judiciary.

“It will destroy the rule of law as we know. This is the biggest assault on the rule of law and the independent judiciary in my lifetime,” Graham told Fox News’ Judge Jeanine Pirro.

“I think they want to turn the court upside down, to pack it with liberals because they don’t like the makeup of the court. And what will happen is that every time one party takes over from the other, [they] will change the number of justices.”

He warned that such efforts would transform the court into a “political football” and “destroy the Supreme Court as we know it.”

Graham’s comments were made in reaction to a new House Democrat proposal to expand the nation’s top court from nine to 13 seats. Lobbying efforts by liberal activists to “pack the court” have ramped up in recent months following their unsuccessful attempt last year to stop then-Judge Amy Coney Barrett’s nomination.

“Republicans stole the Court’s majority, with Justice Amy Coney Barrett’s confirmation completing their crime spree,” Sen. Ed Markey (D-Mass.), one of the key co-sponsors of the bill, said in a statement. “This legislation will restore the Court’s balance and public standing and begin to repair the damage done to our judiciary and democracy.”

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jarrold Nadler (D-N.Y.), another co-sponsor, sought to justify the proposal saying that 13 seats would match the 13 circuit courts.

“The logic behind having only nine justices is much weaker today, when there are 13 circuits, thousands of cases filed before the Court each year, and the full range of statutes and regulations that make our economy and our society work,” Nadler said.

The Democrats’ efforts were met with fierce opposition by conservatives and moderates who are worried that the move will undermine the integrity and people’s trust in the U.S. Supreme Court.

Several groups of Republican lawmakers have launched countermeasures in an effort to keep the number of seats on the bench to nine. Rep. Andy Biggs (R-Ariz.), chair of the conservative House Freedom Caucus, announced his effort the same day the group of Democrats promoted their new bill. The GOP proposal requires an amendment to the U.S. Constitution to limit the number of justices.

He said that the Democrat’s attempts to expand the court stems from their hunger for power and an attempt to concentrate it in Washington D.C.

GOP Confident Court Expansion Bill Will Hurt Democrat Party

Republican lawmakers said Democrat attempts to pack the Supreme Court will be so unpopular that it will ultimately help the GOP party in the 2022 midterm elections.

This week, Democrats introduced controversial legislation that would expand the Supreme Court from nine to 13 seats. In response, dozens of Republicans spoke out and took to social media to call the legislation an “assault” on judicial independence.

Friday, Florida Senator Rick Scott (R) said it will be “pretty easy” to get Democrats on the record on court packing. Then, when Democrats attempt to pass the legislation through reconciliation, Republicans will have an advantage when offering up amendments.

Scott said Democrats are only concerned with following their party leaders.

Kroger closes five stores in California cities that require ‘hero pay’

Los Angeles told retailers and pharmacies they need to pay employees a $5 per hour hazard pay.

Grocery store chain Kroger announced that it was shutting down five stores in Southern California after cities approved ordinances requiring retailers to pay a “hero pay.”

Kroger closed two stores in Long Beach on Saturday: a Ralphs and Food 4 Less in Long Beach, California. Kroger, which is the largest supermarket chain in the U.S. with nearly 2,800 stores in 35 states, stated that the city-mandated $4 “hero pay” increase was to blame for the store closings.

“As a result of the City of Long Beach’s decision to pass an ordinance mandating Extra Pay for grocery workers, we have made the difficult decision to permanently close long-struggling store locations in Long Beach,” said a spokesperson for Kroger several weeks ago, the Epoch Times reported. “This misguided action by the Long Beach City Council oversteps the traditional bargaining process and applies to some, but not all, grocery workers in the city.”

In January, the Long Beach City Council and the city’s Democratic Mayor Robert Garcia approved a “hero pay” ordinance that increased wages by $4 per hour. The COVID-19 pandemic-related pay increase included employees of pharmacies and retail stores with 300 or more employees in the southern California city.

The California Grocers Association attempted to stop the pay increase but was denied by a federal judge in February. U.S. District Judge Otis D. Wright II concluded, “CGA utterly fails to address why the ordinance is not an appropriate means for … fairly compensating grocery workers for the hazards they encounter as essential workers.”

Union leaders claimed that Kroger is punishing workers and the communities.

GOP believes Democrats handing them winning 2022 campaign

Republicans are riding high about their prospects for retaking both chambers of Congress in the upcoming midterms, thanks to the abundant campaign fodder they believe Democrats and the Biden administration have handed them in recent weeks.

Conservatives pointed to the surge of migrants at the southern border; difficulties getting kids back in school for in-person learning amid the pandemic; massive spending from the White House and Democratic-controlled Congress; the inclusion of progressive priorities in infrastructure and economic relief bills; and most recently a push among some Democrats to expand the Supreme Court as actions that will offer campaign fodder for Republicans in the months to come.

Some GOP lawmakers are gloating over their prospects even though the 2022 midterms are still 19 months away.

“This is going to be like 2010, 2012, 2014 where we pick up seats because of Obama’s agenda,” Sen. Rick Scott (R-Fla.), head of the Republican Senate’s campaign arm, said on Hugh Hewitt’s radio show Friday.

“Now what I talk about every day is do we want open borders? No. Do we want to shut down our schools? No. Do we want men playing in women’s sports? No. Do we want to shut down the Keystone Pipeline? No. Do we want voter ID? Yes,” he continued. “And the Democrats are on the opposite side of all those issues, and I’m going to make sure every American knows about it.”

The party in power traditionally loses seats during midterm elections, putting Democrats on defense at a time when they already are protecting razor-thin majorities in both chambers of Congress. The Senate is split 50-50 with Democrats up for reelection in Arizona, Georgia, New Hampshire and elsewhere, while Republicans would need to pick up just a handful of House seats to take the majority.

With Democrats already on the ropes based on history, Republicans feel they have a full complement of issues to attack the other party over, including policy matters and cultural issues that will motivate their voters and potential swing voters.

The Great (Re)-awakening Of America First Is Here

On January 6, 2021, hundreds of thousands of supporters of President Donald J. Trump came to Washington, DC to rally in support of the President.

Those hundreds of thousands who came to DC represented the 75-plus million Americans who voted to re-elect President Trump.

I was lucky enough to be handling the press that day for the organization who sponsored the rally – Women for America First. I stood just feet from the stage and watched as President Trump spoke to the patriotic Americans in attendance.

The event was entirely peaceful – not a single incident of violence – Hell, despite being crammed into the ellipse like sardines, people didn’t even push or shove as the crowd slowly exited after the President’s speech.

As the hundreds of thousands of patriotic and peaceful Americans left the Ellipse, a few miles away a couple hundred of idiots unlawfully entered the Capitol Building.

As Maxine Waters Calls for Riots in the Streets to Continue, Minnesota National Guardsmen Shot At

As Katie reported earlier today, Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA), a sitting member of Congress, took to the streets in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, where she called on riots to continue. She did so in the dead of the night, knowingly breaking curfew and encouraging others to do the same. As Hannah Nightingale with the Post Millennial reported, sure enough, something came of that. A news release from the Minnesota National Guard alerted that the Minnesota National Guardsmen security team were fired upon at about 4:19am, local time. Fortunately, the injuries two guardsmen sustained were minor.

The statement in part read:

The shooting occurred on or about 4:19 a.m., as a light colored SUV fired several shots at an Operation Safety Net security team providing neighborhood security. No team members were seriously injured. Two National Guard members did sustain minor injuries from the incident. One Guardsman sustain an injury from shattered glass requiring additional care and was taken to a local hospital to receive treatment for injuries sustained. The other Guardsman received only superficial injuries. No further information is available at this time.

Trump to Biden: Don’t Use Sept. 11 As Afghan Pullout Date

Former President Donald Trump is urging another date be selected for the pullout of U.S. troops from Afghanistan that’s now set for the 20th anniversary of the 2001 terror attacks on New York and Washington.

In a statement released by his office, Trump objected to the use of the 9/11 anniversary for the move.

“I wish Joe Biden wouldn’t use September 11th as the date to withdraw our troops from Afghanistan, for two reasons,” he wrote.

“First, we can and should get out earlier,” he wrote, noting Biden blew past his own May 1 deadline for the pullout.

“Nineteen years is enough, in fact, far too much and way too long. I made early withdraw possible by already pulling much of our billions of dollars of equipment out and, more importantly, reducing our military presence to less than 2,000 troops from the 16,000 level that was there (likewise in Iraq, and zero troops in Syria except for the area where we KEPT THE OIL).

Trump said the second reason was that Sept. 11 would take away from the “day of reflection.”

“September 11th represents a very sad event and period for our Country and should remain a day of reflection and remembrance honoring those great souls we lost,” he wrote. “Getting out of Afghanistan is a wonderful and positive thing to do. I planned to withdraw on May 1st, and we should keep as close to that schedule as possible.”

Trump’s statement comes as Biden announced recently that he’d pull 2,500 U.S. armed forces from Afghanistan between May 1 and Sept., defying the 14-month period established in February 2020 in a pact signed by Trump, U.S. NATO allies and the Taliban.

“We cannot continue the cycle of extending or expanding our military presence in Afghanistan hoping to create the ideal conditions for our withdrawal, expecting a different result,” Biden said in his speech Wednesday.

Republicans seek to expose Antifa violence as Democrats look the other way

Republicans are banking on public congressional hearings to spotlight the violence carried out by left-wing Antifa radicals in the face of what they see as denial by national media, Democrats and the Biden administration.

They are using the tactic as Antifa ramps up violence in Portland, Oregon, and other cities including, Minneapolis and Washington, in the aftermath of police killings of Black suspects. Antifa extremists, in the name of countering fascism, set more fires Saturday in downtown Portland, an area already pockmarked by boarded-up businesses.

Republicans have used three recent House and Senate hearings to counter Democrats’ hands-off approach to Antifa.
