“Anti-vaxxers!” they cry. Government bureaucrats, power-drunk doctors, and the screaming weenies in the American press wring their hands over so-called “vaccine-hesitancy.”
A person today can take every vaccine known to man and inoculate their children against every disease ever feared — yet they suddenly become some kind of crazed “anti-vaxxer” because they have a few questions about this new miracle drug that does not work exactly as we have been promised.
Obviously, this “hesitancy” has absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with vaccines in general or even this vaccine in particular. Rather, it has everything to do with the people who are peddling it most furiously.
If the local crack dealer in your neighborhood comes by the house offering to sell you some homegrown oregano for your spice cabinet, you are probably not going to buy it. No matter how badly you might need some oregano at that very moment.
Democrats today — the official party of crack dealers everywhere — would attack you for “anti-Italian bigotry” if you declined to buy the homegrown oregano from the local crack dealer.
It’s like the line from Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid — which, after the Holy Bible and The Art of the Deal, is the wellspring of all the wisdom you will ever need to know.
After Butch uses too much dynamite to blow up the safe on Mr. E.H. Harriman’s railroad car, a posse of horsemen bursts out of another one of Mr. E.H. Harriman’s train cars.
Butch and Sundance watch the mystery horsemen thunder towards them as paper money still flutters to the ground. Confused — but mainly concerned — Butch announces, “Whatever they’re sellin’, I don’t want it!” And the gang wisely turns tail and gallops off, leaving their fluttering loot behind.
And that is precisely what is going on with this vaccine in America today.
You literally have a plague from China that has killed a half-million Americans and a miracle potion to reverse it. But since it is Mr. Biden and the Democrats — along with their evil propagandists in the media — are the ones peddling it, people don’t want anything to do with it.
What does that say about the faith the American people have in their government and the Fourth Estate?

“Vaccinations: No more carrot — bring out the stick,” warns another headline.
Because, really, nothing assures Americans more than being called obstinate donkeys to be lured along with their heavy burdens by a bundle of carrots — carrots they never actually get to enjoy. And if that doesn’t work, beat them with a stick.

Report also said the IRS is ‘understaffed’ and utilizing ‘outdated technology’
The wealthiest Americans “choose not to pay” a massive sum in taxes each year, according to a report the Treasury Department released Wednesday.
The findings were included in a Treasury analysis entitled, “The Case for a Robust Attack on the Tax Gap,” defined as the difference between the amount of taxes owed each year and what the Internal Revenue Service collected. The wealthiest 1% of taxpayers fail to pay an estimated $163 billion in owed taxes each year, Treasury says.
“Today’s tax code contains two sets of rules: one for regular wage and salary workers who report virtually all the income they earn; and another for wealthy taxpayers, who are often able to avoid a large share of the taxes they owe,” said Natasha Sarin, deputy assistant secretary for economic policy at the Treasury Department.
The “tax gap” amounts to approximately $600 billion in lost revenue per year and approximately $7 trillion over the next decade, according to the report. Sarin noted the lost revenue is “3% of GDP, or all the income taxes paid by the lowest-earning 90 percent of taxpayers.”
The report was released amid an ongoing clash on Capitol Hill regarding a Democrat-backed $3.5 trillion budget package. President Biden has argued the plan would be fully paid for through increased taxes on corporations and the wealthiest Americans.
Biden has also backed a plan to invest $80 billion to modernize and restaff the IRS to address the tax gap. Republicans are united in opposing Biden’s tax plan.
The Treasury’s report asserted the IRS is “understaffed” and utilizing “outdated technology,” leaving it unable to collect 15% of owed taxes or conduct enough audits.
“For the IRS to appropriately enforce the tax laws against high earners and large corporations, it needs funding to hire and train revenue agents who can decipher their thousands of pages of sophisticated tax filings,” the report added. “It also needs access to information about opaque income streams—like proprietorship and partnership income—that accrue disproportionately to high-earners.”
Dr. Anthony Fauci, a top U.S. public health official, said that a new study regarding so-called natural immunity following COVID-19 infection is provoking discussion among government experts.
The real-world study, conducted by Israeli researchers, found that previous COVID-19 infection confers better protection against infection and hospitalization than COVID-19 vaccines.
Fauci, the longtime director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, was asked Friday about the research in the context of convincing people who have natural immunity, or recovered from COVID-19, to get vaccinated.
“I get calls all the time people say, ‘I’ve already had COVID, I’m protected.’ And now the study says maybe even more protected than the vaccine alone. Should they also get the vaccine? How do you make the case to them?” Dr. Sanjay Gupta asked Fauci during an appearance on CNN.
“I don’t have a really firm answer for you on that,” Fauci responded.
“That’s something that we’re going to have to discuss regarding the durability of the response. The one thing that paper from Israel didn’t tell you is whether or not—as high as the protection is with natural infection—what’s the durability compared to the durability of a vaccine? So it is conceivable that you got infected, you’re protected, but you may not be protected for an indefinite period of time,” he continued.
“So I think that is something that we need to sit down and discuss seriously because you very appropriately pointed out, it is an issue, and there could be an argument for saying what you said.”
Some experts who have studied the matter have expressed confusion as to why vaccination efforts are not focused on those who have not gotten a shot and have not recovered from COVID-19.
“We’re trying to update policy such that people who have recovered have the same privileges and access as people who are vaccinated,” Dr. Jeffrey Klausner, clinical professor of preventive medicine and medicine at the University of Southern California’s Keck School of Medicine, told The Epoch Times previously.
The Israel findings, because they’re based on real-world data, even led Pfizer board member Scott Gottlieb, commissioner of the Food and Drug Administration, to call for natural immunity to be part of policy discussions.
“The balance of the evidence demonstrates that natural immunity confers a durable protection,” Gottlieb said during a recent television appearance.
Official guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) acknowledges people have some level of immunity after COVID-19 recovery. But the agency still recommends the vast majority of Americans get a COVID-19 vaccine, asserting the protection is even better when combining natural immunity and a jab.
Dr. Rochelle Walensky, the CDC’s director, last month pointed to a study conducted by CDC and Kentucky researchers that suggested vaccines actually provide better protection than previous infection.
“These data further indicate that COVID-19 vaccines offer better protection than natural immunity alone and that vaccines, even after prior infection, help prevent reinfections,” the agency said in a statement.

Optimism among small business owners has plummeted as Democrats race to raise taxes amid rising inflation, according to a new poll by a right-leaning advocacy group Friday.
The poll conducted for the Job Creators Network found that an index measuring optimism among small businesses declined to 59.4 in August, down from 63.5 in July. It was the lowest point in the four months that Republican pollsters John McLaughlin and Scott Rasmussen have been conducting the survey.
“Concerns among small business owners are mounting and it’s having a dramatic effect on how they view the future, which could impact hiring, wage growth, and the potential for business expansion as the economy weathers the lingering pandemic,” said Elaine Parker, president of the Job Creators Network Foundation. “And proposed government policies threaten to weaken the falling optimism further.”
Democrats have been previewing tax increases that they plan to impose to pay for the $3.5 trillion social-welfare spending spree that Congress is crafting. The Treasury Department has said the increases would spare 97% of small businesses.
But the Tax Foundation, a Washington right-leaning nonprofit, estimates that slightly more small businesses would be hit. Most impactful on small businesses, according to the foundation, are proposals to raise the top marginal tax rate for high-income earners, and to tax inherited assets like stocks and businesses of more than $1 million.
The declining optimism among business owners came even before Mr. Biden announced new requirements for workers to be vaccinated or tested weekly for the coronavirus. While the requirement affects companies with at least 100 employees, the government will force many small businesses to deal with finding time off for workers to get vaccinated or tested, Ms. Parker said.
She said small businesses owners’ hopes had risen earlier in the summer as normal life seemed to be returning during the pandemic.
“People went on vacations again. Hotels and flights were full. People were getting out and living again,” she said.
But since then, the Consumer Price Index rose by 0.9% in June and by 0.5% in July, at a pace that is a 13-year high on an annual basis.
“That impacts feelings about hiring in the future,” she said.
At the same time, rising COVID-19 infections are raising fears of more restrictions on small businesses, like those that “hit them on the chin” last year, Ms. Parker said.
“It’s like a bizarro world,” she said. “The Biden administration said they are not affecting small businesses, but they absolutely are.”
Among the survey’s other findings:
— The percentage of small businesses that described their financial condition as good or excellent declined to 57% in August, down from 60% the previous month.
— The percentage of companies expecting their financial condition to improve in the next three months fell to 53% in August, down from 62% in July.
The survey of 500 small business owners nationally from Aug. 1-19 had a margin of error of plus/minus 4.4%.
More than eight months after the worst attack on Washington since the Civil War, as Joe Biden describes it, not a single American has been charged with sedition or treason related to the alleged “insurrection” on January 6, 2021.
As Ben Boychuk explained in his Thursday essay, despite many harsh warnings insisting the government would build sedition cases, so far Biden’s Justice Department has failed to live up to its promise.
That’s not to say, of course, that the abusive “Capitol breach” probe hasn’t been a big success for those seeking revenge against Americans who protested Joe Biden’s election. The lives of at least 600 Americans have been destroyed—families torn apart, finances bankrupted, reputations forever tarnished, and dozens held in prison, denied bail, and awaiting trials that won’t begin until next year.
But the Justice Department’s premier felony charge—obstruction of an official proceeding—is on shaky legal ground, to say the least. It’s a substitute for the sedition cases they cannot prove in court.
Prosecutors have slapped the felony count, which is punishable by up to 20 years in jail, against at least 200 defendants, including mostly misdemeanor cases, in an attempt to turn Trump-supporting trespassers into convicted felons.
Several defendants, including Jacob Chansely, the so-called QAnon Shaman, and Paul Hodgkins have pleaded guilty to the charge; both will serve prison time even though neither man has a criminal record. (Chansley has been behind bars since January. Judge Royce Lamberth refuses to release Chansley from jail, despite pleas from his attorney that he suffers from mental health issues.)
The statute, which I explained in a March column, was passed by Congress in response to the Enron scandal. It’s a clause under 18 U.S. Code section 1512, which criminalizes attempts to tamper with a witness or evidence. When George W. Bush signed the “obstruction of an official proceeding” provision in 2002, he specifically warned the law should not infringe on “the constitutional right to petition the Government for redress of grievances.”
That, however, is exactly how Joe Biden’s Justice Department is applying the statute. Unsatisfied with simply charging Capitol protesters for criminal behavior, such as assaulting police officers or damaging government property, prosecutors are twisting the intent of the obstruction charge to punish belief in “the Big Lie” that the 2020 election was stolen.
But two federal judges are not convinced the government is on solid legal or constitutional footing.
When a federal prosecutor on Wednesday told Judge Amit Mehta that the law was “unambiguous.” Mehta pushed back. “I wish it were that simple,” Mehta told assistant U.S. Attorney Jeffrey Nestler during a hearing to dismiss the obstruction charge against all 17 defendants in the Oath Keepers case. (Two Oath Keepers already pleaded guilty to the charge.)
David Fischer, the lawyer representing Thomas Caldwell, last month filed the motion, which was joined by Caldwell’s co-defendants. The purpose of the law, Fischer argued, was to protect congressional investigations, not ceremonial events such as the certification of the Electoral College, which did not involve the normal features of an investigative inquiry. “On January 6th, sworn testimony was not being taken, witnesses were not summoned, and documents were not subpoenaed,” Fischer wrote. “In short, Congress was not remotely engaged in any activity that could fairly be described as justice-related.”
On September 11, 2001, we watched in shock and horror as the worst terrorist attack in the history of the United States unfolded before our eyes.
Al-Qaeda terrorists hijacked four passenger planes and aimed them at buildings that represented the power and might of America: the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center in New York City and the Pentagon in Washington, D.C.
Nearly 3,000 people lost their lives that day.
The surreal images of planes crashing into buildings and into the ground, of people desperately fleeing for their lives, of thick smoke and dust rising from the ruins of the collapsed towers are forever etched in our minds.
The pain of September 11 will always be with us — a devastating reminder that we live in a fallen world marred by sin, hatred and violence. My thoughts and prayers are with the families who are grieving. In the aftermath of that terrible day, we wrestled with the age-old question: Why does God allow so much evil in the world? Twenty years later, we continue to ask: Where was God on September 11, 2001?
I believe he was where he has always been: with us.
God did not create a world filled with suffering and evil. His was a perfect world, a paradise. Genesis 1:31 tells us, “And God saw everything that He had made, and behold, it was very good.” God created us to love and serve him and, through Jesus, commanded us to love one another as we love ourselves. But he also gave us free will because love is a choice.
And in our flesh, we took the freedoms that God gave us and turned away from him. The Bible tells us that sin and evil do not come from God but from Satan, and they entered this world when Satan deceived Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden.
Our world is coming to grips with the disorder that’s inherent in our fallen universe. We see this disorder in our own suffering and pain, and in those seemingly random events that cause so much anguish in life. Just last month, 13 American soldiers were killed in an attack at the gates of Hamid Karzai International Airport in Kabul, Afghanistan—another searing reminder that evil still plagues us today like it did on September 11, 2001.
However, we know that God has not lost the battle to Satan. John 1:5 tells us, “The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” According to Matthew 25:41, God will one day banish all evil “into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.”
Nobody is immune from suffering. But in John 16:33, Jesus gives us this promise, “I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace.”
This promise should motivate us to do something about the injustice and pain that so pervade this world. Sadly, many people — yes, even Christians — sit on the sidelines and do nothing. I sometimes wonder if we have forgotten how to weep.
I think one thing that’s noticeably missing among people today is a deep sense of compassion and empathy for the hurting. One reason for this, I believe, is that we are so inundated through media with news of suffering that it’s easy to begin to tune it out.
We must not forget that people who suffer are real people, whether they lost loved ones on September 11, 2001, bear the visible and invisible scars of war or are Afghans trapped under the Taliban’s rule. We need to pray and ask God to show us where we can help relieve suffering in this world.
There are times in life when we just have a hard time understanding “why.” I think about a friend I have who lost a child in a tragic accident. I think about those who are sick and hungry with little hope for relief.
Yet others whom we see as less innocent seem to prosper.
It’s in those times when we wonder “why” that we can often feel disheartened or disillusioned with our faith. “If God is good,” we ask, “then why would he allow innocent people to suffer like that?” This is a reasonable question provoked by very real emotions. And the truth is, there’s an answer — but it may not be one we like to hear.
The world is fallen. Because of that, there will be suffering until Christ returns. And often, others who seem less deserving will prosper. The world will be wrought with injustice until the Justifier returns to bring back order.
So what can we do?
We persevere. We allow suffering and hardship to create a thirst in us for the day when all suffering will end. We wait in anticipation for Christ to usher in his Kingdom on earth. We hold on — because help is coming. In the meantime, we provide all the comfort we can to our hurting neighbors because of the hope we have in Christ.

Dr. Jenn Jackson, a professor of political science at Syracuse University, triggered an avalanche of backlash after claiming Friday the 9/11 terrorist attacks were an attack on “heteropatriarchal capitalistic systems” that “white Americans fight to protect.”
Jackson’s website biography reads, “Jenn M. Jackson (they/them) is a queer genderflux androgynous Black woman, an abolitionist, a lover of all Black people, and an Assistant Professor at Syracuse University in the Department of Political Science.”
What did Jackson say?
Jackson published a series of tweets Friday that vocalized her problems with how “white pundits and correspondents” talk about 9/11, and the impact those tragic events had on America.
“It’s twenty years since 9/11 and I’m still really disturbed by how many white pundits and correspondents talk about it,” Jackson began. “I’m watching [White House chief of staff on 9/11] Andy Card and [Former Homeland Security Secretary] Jeh Johnson on MSNBC. Card just said that 9/11 was the first time that Americans ever felt fear. He said that it was the last morning we woke up without fear and that the ‘terrorists’ succeeded in introducing us to fear.”
“White Americans might not have really felt true fear before 9/11 because they never felt what it meant to be accessible, vulnerable, and on the receiving side of military violence at home. But, white Americans’ experiences are not a stand-in for ‘America,'” Jackson continued. “Plenty of us Americans know what it’s like to experience fear and we knew before 9/11. For a lot of us, we know fear *because* of other Americans.”
“We have to be more honest about what 9/11 was and what it wasn’t. It was an attack on the heteropatriarchal capitalistic systems that America relies upon to wrangle other countries into passivity. It was an attack on the systems many white Americans fight to protect,” Jackson added.
“We have to be clear that the same motivations that animated America’s hypervigilance and responsiveness to ‘terror’ after 9/11 are now motivating the carceral state and anti-immigration policy,” Jackson said.
What was the response?
Jackson’s remarks generated a mountain of criticism and mockery, which pointed out that Islamic fundamentalists are certainly not motivated by femenist or pro-LGBT ideology.
“This is the kind of disturbing rubbish people spout when they see the world through a lens of identity politics. We need to reverse the long march through the institutions,” one person said.
“Yes, the fundamentalist Islamic men were attacking ‘heteropatriarch capitalist systems’ because fundamentalist Islam is a very pro feminist pro LGBT ideology you absolute doorknob,” another person said.
“What a race-hustling hatemonger Jenn Jackson is,” another person said.
“SU has a professor on staff, Jenn Jackson, that’s clearly a racist and has zero empathy for what took place on 9/11. Look at what she tweeted yesterday of all days. Every SU alumni should be disgusted with who SU is willing to employ and keep employed,” another person said.
“The language of wokeism… it uses colorful, smart & complicated sounding phrases tossed into a word salad and mixed with emotional expressions so you can’t deconstruct the nonsense. Jenn Jackson is a poster child of a crazy person acting as a paid pseudo intellectual,” one person said.

North Carolina doctor wants to be “scary” to the public by inflating COVID-19 numbers and claiming people will die without vaccines
National File has obtained a recording of a Zoom video conference call between physicians and a marketing director at Novant Heath New Hanover Regional Medical Center, a group of 20 hospitals, clinics, and offices that treat patients in North Carolina and South Carolina.
In the recording, Mary Rudyk, MD tells Director of Marketing Carolyn Fisher and another hospital employee that she wants the hospitals to become more “scary to the public” by inflating the number of COVID-19 patients, and by using messaging that falsely tells individuals “If you don’t get vaccinated, you know you’re going to die.”
In the clip, Fisher seems confused by questions raised by Rudyk regarding how COVID-19 patients are counted. After Fisher explains this process, Rudyk asserts that the hospitals should become “scary” in their messaging about COVID-19, inflate their total number of COVID-19 patients by counting those who have recovered, and suggest that people will die without taking one of the controversial COVID-19 vaccines.
The video was obtained from an internal source at Novant Health, and was recorded earlier this week. The clip features three speakers: Rudyk, Fisher, and Shelbourn Stevens, president of who promises to speak with MacDonald about inflating the count of COVID-19 patients “offline.”

After the first speaker seems to answer a question about how COVID-19 patient counts are determined and shared with the public, MacDonald responds, “I guess my feeling at this point in time is, maybe we need to be completely a little bit more scary to the public.” She then introduces her idea to inflate the total number of COVID-19 patients by counting patients who recovered. “There are many people still hospitalized that we’re considering post-COVID, but they’re not counted in those numbers,” Rudyk explains, “So how do we include those post-COVID people in the numbers of the patients we have in the hospital?”
At this point Fisher, apparently confused, asks Rudyk to clarify if she is suggesting the hospital release the total number of patients treated at the hospital “since the beginning of COVID,” which Rudyk says is an even better idea.
“That’s better still, and that’s something that I can take to someone else, but I think those are important numbers. The patients that are still in the hospital, that are off the COVID floor, but still are occupying the hospital for a variety of reasons,” said Rudyk, before a male doctor interrupted to inform her that those patients are considered “recovered.”
Still she persists: “I think that that needs to be highlighted as well, because once you’re off isolation you drop from the COVID numbers, that’s exactly right.” The male doctor agreed, “Carolyn, we can talk offline about how we run that up to marketing,” before being cut off by Rudyk.
“So I just want to say we have to be more blunt, we have to be more forceful, we have to see something coming out: ‘If you don’t get vaccinated, you know you’re going to die,’” Rudyk said, laughing. “I mean let’s just be really blunt with these people.”
Since the video surfaced on social media, the hospital has released a statement claiming that the “team members involved” in the meeting are stressed and frustrated that more people are not taking one of the controversial vaccines. However, the hospital clarified that Rudyk’s suggestion was not taken: “The data we have been sharing does not include patients who remain hospitalized for COVID-19 complications even though they are no longer COVID positive.” However, the hospital then suggests it may start inflating its count, as Rudyk suggested, “it does not provide a complete picture,” the hospital noted.
‘Abolitionist’ professor says 9/11 was attack on ‘heteropatriarchal capitalistic systems’ that benefit white people
Dr. Jenn Jackson, a professor of political science at Syracuse University, triggered an avalanche of backlash after claiming Friday the 9/11 terrorist attacks were an attack on “heteropatriarchal capitalistic systems” that “white Americans fight to protect.”
Jackson’s website biography reads, “Jenn M. Jackson (they/them) is a queer genderflux androgynous Black woman, an abolitionist, a lover of all Black people, and an Assistant Professor at Syracuse University in the Department of Political Science.”
What did Jackson say?
Jackson published a series of tweets Friday that vocalized her problems with how “white pundits and correspondents” talk about 9/11, and the impact those tragic events had on America.
“It’s twenty years since 9/11 and I’m still really disturbed by how many white pundits and correspondents talk about it,” Jackson began. “I’m watching [White House chief of staff on 9/11] Andy Card and [Former Homeland Security Secretary] Jeh Johnson on MSNBC. Card just said that 9/11 was the first time that Americans ever felt fear. He said that it was the last morning we woke up without fear and that the ‘terrorists’ succeeded in introducing us to fear.”
“White Americans might not have really felt true fear before 9/11 because they never felt what it meant to be accessible, vulnerable, and on the receiving side of military violence at home. But, white Americans’ experiences are not a stand-in for ‘America,'” Jackson continued. “Plenty of us Americans know what it’s like to experience fear and we knew before 9/11. For a lot of us, we know fear *because* of other Americans.”
“We have to be more honest about what 9/11 was and what it wasn’t. It was an attack on the heteropatriarchal capitalistic systems that America relies upon to wrangle other countries into passivity. It was an attack on the systems many white Americans fight to protect,” Jackson added.
“We have to be clear that the same motivations that animated America’s hypervigilance and responsiveness to ‘terror’ after 9/11 are now motivating the carceral state and anti-immigration policy,” Jackson said.
What was the response?
Jackson’s remarks generated a mountain of criticism and mockery, which pointed out that Islamic fundamentalists are certainly not motivated by femenist or pro-LGBT ideology.
