Beware the Dangerous Message Behind Halloween Twix Ad Targeting Children

The new ad from Twix is a tale of the witch, the wardrobe, and the woke agenda.

At the start of the commercial, a young boy is seen wearing a princess dress when he is greeted by a woman at the door, his new nanny dressed in a witch’s outfit. After he lets her inside, he goes outside to play, where a couple neighborhood girls question why the boy would be wearing a costume when it “isn’t Halloween yet.”

The ad, as reported by CBN News, picks up again with the boy and the nanny in a park, where an older boy begins to bully the child, who is still wearing the princess dress. The older boy asks the kid why he is dressed “like a girl,” and, in response, he says, “Dressing like this makes me feel good.”

Unsatisfied with the answer, the older bully tells the boy he and his nanny “look weird.”

The nanny — perturbed by the elder boy’s lack of affirmation — then uses her magical powers to conjure a violent wind storm that vanquishes the bully, seemingly forever.

Remember: This is an ad for a candy bar. At no point are Twix mentioned.

At first glance, we might be inclined to dismiss commercials like these, to think nothing of them, to roll our eyes, and to move on. The truth, though, is the ad puts on disturbing display what has gone so very wrong in our culture.

The ad, which is targeting children, paints all those who reject the transgender agenda as bullies and pests whose only goal is to malign and belittle. Certainly, as Christians, we can — and should — actively oppose bullying of any kind toward any person. But failing to affirm a lifestyle or behavior that contradicts God’s design for human sexuality and identity is not, in and of itself, bullying.

But that’s the message this commercial sends. In two minutes, it deceptively reorients the moral error — the belief that our sexuality is fluid and up to individual interpretation — as the moral good. It likewise suggests the objective truth of the sexual binary — that human beings are designed as male and female for a purpose — is untrue.

In the Old Testament book of Isaiah, the prophet pronounced judgments on the people of Judah, who were so focused on their sins, namely drunkenness, they didn’t see their wrongful deeds as bad. Instead, they had become so accustomed to their sin, they began calling it “good.”

Isaiah wrote, “Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness, who substitute bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter” (Isaiah 5:20 CSB).

Those words ring just as true today.

As Christians, the onus is on us to break that cycle, to reject the suggestion that those whose views are opposite ours are our enemies, that people who fail to affirm the latest social trend are pariahs to be eliminated.

There should be space for counterweights in culture.

Christians have a role to play in communicating God’s perfect design for sexuality: for men and women — with their distinct characteristics — to commit to one another in mutual submission and to see the two sexes, male and female, as innate, immutable gifts created in the image of God.

To do that well, we have to be gracious, compassionate, and clear. The late Warren Wiersbe said it this way: “Truth without love is brutality, and love without truth is hypocrisy.”

We should remember, as the Apostle Paul wrote, that our battle “is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the world powers of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavens” (Ephesians 6:12 CSB).

Unlike the Twix commercial suggests, our enemies are not those whose views are different from ours. Our enemy is Satan and his fleeting dominion — and that’s where our focus should be.

Christians are faced with a biblical mandate to communicate truth — the ultimate truth of the Gospel — and we should do so counter-culturally, not by demonizing, dismissing, or villainizing our ideological opponents; instead, we ought to pray for them, relate to them, listen to them, and speak truth in love to them.

The content we consume has power. Don’t let the subliminal — and often perceptible — messages of the secular world lure you in.

Unearthed Wuhan Lab Docs Show ‘Bat Lady’ Shi Zhengli Isolating Coronavirus Strains For ‘Direct Human Infection.’

Shi Zhengli – the Wuhan Institute of Virology’s premier bat coronavirus researcher – celebrated her isolation of a coronavirus strain that could cause “direct human infection” in an annual lab report unearthed by The National Pulse.

The admission follows mounting evidence that COVID-19 traces its origins to the Wuhan-based lab and can be linked to risky “gain-of-function” research funded by Anthony Fauci. A “longtime collaborator” of several Fauci-funded researchers, Shi, also known as “Bat Lady,” has listed grants from the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) Director on her resume.

Shi’s biography and research accomplishments, which appear in the lab’s 2013 annual report exclusively unearthed by The National Pulse, augment her ties to the scientific research carried out at the Wuhan Institute of Virology that likely led to COVID-19.

The subheading “Research Interests” included in Shi’s profile outlines the focus of her work in her capacity as the Director of the lab’s Center for Emerging Infectious Diseases. “This group focuses on emerging viral pathogens and their infection mechanisms,” the synopsis begins before providing examples of her work on the “interspecies infection mechanism of zoonotic virus” such as SARS-like coronaviruses:

Viral isolation and characterization, diagnostic method development and genomic studies; molecular epidemiology and interspecies infection mechanism of zoonotic virus (SARS-like CoV, Nipah virus, Hantavirus, etc); viral metagenomics in particular niche samples (animals and environments)

Focusing solely on her work accomplished in 2013, Shi boasts that “we successfully isolated a bat SARS-like coronavirus” before adding that the isolated strain could result in “direct human infection”:

“It was proved that WIV-1 was able to utilize ACE-2 of human, civets, and Chinese horseshoe bats as the receptor to enter the cells, suggesting the virus is potential to cause a direct human infection.”

The summary also references how coronaviruses “achieved cross-species infection by mutation of key sites of the spike protein,” which is the mechanism that allows COVID-19 to enter human cells.

Over 70% of Unvaxxed US Workers Ready to Quit if Required to Receive Shot

As many as 72 percent of unvaccinated American workers are ready to quit their job if their employers mandate vaccination against the coronavirus without an option to get tested weekly instead, according to a new poll by the Kaiser Family Foundation out on Thursday.

If a testing option were offered by their employer, only 37 percent of unvaccinated said they would quit their job, while 11 percent said they would rather get the shot, and 46 percent would opt for weekly testing, the poll results showed.

If presented with the option of either getting a vaccine or being tested every week, 5 percent of all US adults say they would leave their job, and 9 percent would leave if no testing options were offered, according to the survey.

Only 1 percent of all US adults said they have already quit their job because their employer introduced a vaccine mandate, the poll found.

The findings also show that 25 percent of American workers say their employers have instituted a vaccine mandate, an increase of 16 percentage points since June.

The poll was conducted among randomly selected 1,519 US adults age 18 and over by phone on 14-24 October.

Border pray-in: Faith leaders meet, sound alarm over human trafficking, Biden humanitarian crisis

California attorney general created two new anti-human trafficking teams this year to apprehend perpetrators and support survivors after increased labor and sexual exploitation was reported statewide.

Faith leaders from Southern California met near the border wall in San Diego at the Otay Mesa ICE Detention Center on Saturday to raise awareness about surging illegal immigration and human trafficking under the relaxed border security policies of the Biden administration.

Coming from Anaheim, Chino Hills, Santa Ana, San Clemente, San Diego, San Jacinto, and Murrieta, the faith leaders represented over 100 houses of worship.

While some have been to the border wall before, those who gathered on Saturday met with law enforcement at the detention center where those entering the U.S. illegally are processed. The faith leaders prayed for those impacted by illegal immigration, including those being trafficked and exploited, as well as the Border Patrol agents tasked with protecting them and enforcing the law.

Human trafficking is an estimated $150 billion industry worldwide. The International Labor Organization estimates more than 24.9 million people are being trafficked worldwide at any given time. The largest number are victims of labor exploitation, followed by victims of sexual exploitation. The ILO reports that young girls and women represent 57.6% of forced labor victims and 99.4% of sex trafficking victims.

Human traffickers “have become more sophisticated and organized, requiring an equally sophisticated response from law enforcement and its partners to disrupt and dismantle their networks,” the California attorney general reports. “The state of California has taken steps to fight human trafficking, and established guidelines for select businesses to aid in finding victims of human trafficking.”

This year, the office created two new anti-human trafficking teams to apprehend perpetrators and support survivors after increased labor and sexual exploitation had been reported statewide. The two anti-trafficking teams include 13 special agents and two crime analysts.

In 2019, the most human trafficking cases — 1,507 — were reported to the National Human Trafficking Hotline from California, followed by 1,080 reported from Texas.

The Los Angeles-based Coalition to Abolish Slavery and Trafficking says it saw a spike of 185% in urgent human trafficking cases last year during the state’s shutdown, with many of the victims coming from Mexico and the Philippines. In July, the group expressed alarm, calling for more state funding, which it received through the legislature several months later.

“As a citizen and a Christian, I, like other Americans, have a responsibility to speak out against the lack of leadership at the highest level,” said Pastor Phil Hotsenpiller of Influence Church in Anaheim. “We are witnessing children being abandoned, women being raped. Our border guards are facing impossible situations that need not occur.” He called on Americans to “pray and protest about what is happening.”

Pastor Jack Hibbs of Calvary Chapel Chino Hills, argued the border crisis isn’t just a humanitarian crisis but a national security issue. “We all need to stand in support of our border agents as they risk their health and their lives to defend the nation,” he said.

While many pastors might shy away from the issue of immigration because it’s political, Pastor Tim Thompson of 412 Murrieta Church said a pastor’s failure to address the humanitarian crisis at the border “makes him complicit in the atrocities that are taking place.”

More than 2,000 faith leaders were invited to participate in the consciousness-raising gathering at the border. Many prayed and participated virtually in both English and Spanish, representing Protestant, Roman Catholic, and Jewish congregations nationwide.

Christina Selter, who organized the trip, serves on the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department’s Interfaith Advisory Council and is raising awareness about the issue of human trafficking. She coordinated the details of the trip with San Diego County District Attorney Summer Stephan’s office, which has been aggressively pursuing human trafficking-related crimes.

The Southern California Faith Coalition Against Human Trafficking, which was not in attendance on Saturday, has been training faith leaders to bring awareness to their congregations and to get involved in the community to combat human trafficking.

“According to many anti-human trafficking task forces, law enforcement is 3 percent of the solution, non-profits are 7 percent and the community is 90 percent,” the group says. “The faith community is the most powerful aspect of the 90 percent.”

Emergency rooms across America getting FLOODED with patients suffering acute organ failure and debilitating symptoms… media claims it has nothing to do with covid vaccines

National Public Radio (NPRis flabbergasted by a major uptick in emergency room admissions across the United States.

Even though it is painfully obvious that “fully vaccinated” Americans are getting sick in droves NPR is chalking it all up to mystery – or perhaps something spooky since Halloween is just days away.

In Lansing, Mich., for instance, Sparrow Hospital is seeing a massive swarm of very ill patients having to be lined up on stretchers in the facility’s hallways due to a shortage of available beds.

“It’s hard to watch,” said Tiffani Dusang, the emergency room’s nursing director.

“I always feel very, very bad when I walk down the hallway and see that people are in pain or needing to sleep or needing quiet. But they have to be in the hallway with, as you can see, 10 or 15 people walking by every minute.”

At the start of the Wuhan coronavirus (Covid-19) “pandemic,” long before the so-called “vaccines” were made available through “Operation Warp Speed,” Sparrow Hospital was fairly normal. Once the jabs became widespread, however, the sickly really started to pour in.

Most U.S. hospitals, it turns out, were as empty as could be prior to the release of the jabs. It was only after the injections had been widely distributed that hospitals across the country began to get flooded with new patients.

Once Biden Boosters get into people’s arms, the entire health care system could collapse from all the sick patients they create

Doctors and nurses say that the severity of patient illnesses is all over the map. Some patients are complaining of abdominal pain while others are having trouble breathing.

There are also lots and lots of blood clots, which have become a common occurrence in people who get injected with the spike protein bioweaponry disguised as “medicine.”

There is also a surge of patients suffering from cardiovascular events, failed suicides, acute organ failure and an array of debilitating symptoms. Many of these patients can no longer work and have trouble just getting through the day.

Had they taken their chances with the Chinese Virus without getting injected, they would probably be doing just fine. Because they listened to Tony Fauci, however, they are now suffering immensely from vaccine-induced adverse events.

Not once in NPR‘s lengthy article about this phenomenon is the word vaccine even so much as mentioned. Do a word search for yourself: You will see that it is not even part of the equation, even though it is the most obvious culprit.

As the U.S. approaches the winter season, hospital admissions are up nearly 20 percent, according to the report, despite being down over the summer when people were out in the warmth and sunlight. This suggests that once winter comes into full swing, it is going to be a dark one as far as public health is concerned.

“It’s an early indicator that what’s happening in the ED is that we’re seeing more acute cases than we were pre-pandemic,” said Caleb Cox, a data scientist at the Epic Health Research Network.

“Even though we’re seeing the overall volumes come back to normal over the summer here, we see that the more acute conditions still remain higher than the pre-pandemic normals, while the lower-acuity conditions still remain below pre-pandemic normal.”

As the Biden Boosters get rolled out, we expect another wave of acute health problems to emerge that results in hospitals becoming even more overwhelmed with sick, fully vaccinated patients.

This city just recorded the U.S.’s highest-ever average gasoline price

Average gasoline prices in San Francisco rise to $4.75 a gallon: GasBuddy

Prices for gasoline in one of nation’s major cities reached an all-time on Thursday— the highest average price ever recorded in the United States, according to fuel savings platform GasBuddy.

Average prices for the fuel in the San Francisco metro area reached a new all-time high of $4.75 a gallon, breaching the previous record of $4.743 that was set in 2012, GasBuddy reported Thursday.

“The Bay Area just recorded the nation’s highest ever average price of gasoline in the United States.”— Patrick DeHaan, GasBuddy

“The Bay Area just recorded the nation’s highest ever average price of gasoline in the United States,” said Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysts at GasBuddy. “Thanks to myriad challenges, derived from the COVID-19 pandemic, the average fillup now costs motorists in the Bay Area nearly $62.”

That’s a nearly 65% premium to the average price in the cheapest U.S. city, Lawton, Oka., where the average is at $2.86 a gallon, he said.

GASBUDDY

GasBuddy attributes the move higher for gasoline prices in the area mainly to heavy rains, which led to some refinery outages, as well as the highest oil prices in over seven years “due to a developing energy crunch,” and a climb in demand that has surpassed global oil supplies.

U.S. benchmark West Texas Intermediate crude  CL.1, 0.58% CLZ21, 0.58% saw its front-month futures contract settled at $84.65 a barrel on Tuesday, the highest settlement price since Oct. 13, 2014, according to Dow Jones Market Data. Also on Tuesday, gasoline futures RBX21, -0.29% settled at $2.517 a gallon, the highest price since Sept. 30, 2014.

In January, GasBuddy predicted a 2021 peak for San Francisco prices in the $3.85 to $4.25 range, but to see prices nearly 90 cents higher than the low side of that range offers a “sign of how challenging a year it’s been to anticipate all the wildcards that have led San Francisco and, potentially, more areas of  California, to rise to record levels,” De Haan told MarketWatch.

When retail gasoline prices rose to similar high levels in 2012, that was a temporary situation brought on by a refinery fire, he said. “My concern here is that even after refineries get back online after a deluge of rain, prices may remain near or at record levels thanks to the continued rise of the price of oil.”

“The pain at the pump has never been this bad,” but prices could eventually rise to nearly $5 per gallon in the Bay Area if oil production doesn’t catch up to the global rise in demand, he said. And a further price rise ahead of the holidays could lead to a “record high starting point for 2022,” he added.

On Thursday, the nation’s average price for regular gasoline stood at $3.388 a gallon, up 21 cents from last month and up nearly $1.25 from a year ago, GasBuddy data show. The highest recorded average for the U.S. as a whole was set on July 16, 2008 at $4.103.

Still, San Francisco’s record gasoline prices aren’t anywhere near as bad as the fuel’s price in Hong Kong, where the average is approaching $10 a gallon, according to GasBuddy.
