El Partido Republicano del Senado Bloquea el Intento Demócrata de Frenar la Guerra Antidrogas de Trump en el Caribe

Los Republicanos del Senado Bloquearon el Jueves una Resolución de Poderes de Guerra Que Buscaba Limitar la Autoridad del Presidente Donald Trump para Realizar Ataques Militares Contra Supuestos Buques de Contrabando de Drogas en el Caribe. La Votación Preservó las Operaciones en Curso de la Administración Dirigidas a las Rutas de Droga Venezolanas Que Se Cree Alimentan el Flujo de Narcóticos Hacia los Estados Unidos.

La Resolución, Liderada por el Senador Tim Kaine (D-VA) y Copatrocinada por el Senador Adam Schiff (D-CA) y el Senador Rand Paul (R-KY), Tenía Como Objetivo Detener los Ataques y Requerir Aprobación del Congreso para Cualquier Acción Militar Adicional en la Región. Kaine Argumentó Que la Constitución Exige Debate y Autorización Antes de Que las Fuerzas Estadounidenses Participen en Hostilidades. Solo Paul y la Senadora Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) Rompieron con la Mayoría Republicana para Apoyar la Medida.

El Presidente Trump Defendió Su Decisión de Autorizar Operaciones Dirigidas por la CIA en el Caribe, Afirmando Que Venezuela Había “Vaciado Sus Prisiones en los Estados Unidos de América” y Que los Narcóticos Continuaban Entrando por Vía Marítima. “Tenemos Muchas Drogas Que Entran Desde Venezuela, y Gran Parte de las Drogas Venezolanas Llegan por el Mar,” Dijo Trump. “Así Que, Pueden Verlo, Pero También Vamos a Detenerlas por Tierra.”

Según Funcionarios, la Administración Ha Realizado Hasta Ahora 16 Ataques, Que Han Resultado en la Muerte de 66 Individuos Sospechosos de Narcotráfico. El Presidente También Ordenó el Despliegue del Portaaviones USS Gerald R. Ford en la Región para Reforzar las Operaciones.

Tras una Sesión Informativa Clasificada con el Secretario de Estado Marco Rubio y el Secretario de Guerra Pete Hegseth, el Presidente del Comité de Relaciones Exteriores del Senado, James Risch (R-ID), Dijo Estar “Totalmente Satisfecho” con la Justificación de la Administración, y Agregó: “El Presidente Realmente Debería Ser Felicitado por Salvar las Vidas de los Jóvenes Estadounidenses.”

El Presidente Trump Indultó al Ex Presidente de la Cámara de Representantes de Tennessee y a Su Principal Asesor Semanas Después de Que Fueran Condenados a Prisión por Cargos de Corrupción.

El Ex Representante Estatal Republicano Glen Casada y Su Ex Jefe de Gabinete, Cade Cothren, Fueron Condenados en Septiembre a 36 Meses y 30 Meses de Prisión Federal, Respectivamente, por “Fraude Electrónico de Servicios Íntegros; Conspiración para Cometer Lavado de Dinero; Uso de un Nombre Ficticio para Llevar a Cabo un Fraude; y Lavado de Dinero”, Explicó la Oficina del Fiscal de los Estados Unidos para el Distrito Medio de Tennessee.

“Sí, el Presidente Me Llamó Hoy y Me Concedió un Indulto Completo. Estoy Agradecido por Su Confianza y Su Total Fe en Mi Inocencia Durante Todo Este Calvario,” Dijo Casada en un Comunicado a WSMV4. “Soy un Ciudadano Privado y Espero Volver a Estar con Mi Familia y Amigos. Cientos de Personas Han Estado Orando por Esto y Estoy Agradecido al Presidente y al Señor por Responder Esas Oraciones.”

Un Funcionario de la Casa Blanca Dijo a The Hill Que el Departamento de Justicia Bajo la Era Biden “Procesó de Manera Excesiva a Estos Individuos por un Asunto Menor Relacionado con los Folletos de los Constituyentes — Que Fueron Facturados a Precios Competitivos, Nunca Recibieron Quejas de los Legisladores, y Resultaron en una Pérdida Neta de Ganancias de Menos de $5,000.”

“El Departamento de Justicia de Biden Respondió con una Redada Armada, un Paseo del Vergüenza y Sentencias Sugeridas Que Superaban los 10 Años — Penalidades Normalmente Reservadas para Estafadores Multimillonarios,” Agregó el Funcionario.

Casada y Cothren Fueron Declarados Culpables de las Acciones Criminales en Mayo. A Partir de Finales de 2019, Los Dos Individuos, Junto con la Ex Representante Estatal de Tennessee Robin Smith, “Participaron en un Esquema Fraudulento para Enriquecerse al Explotar las Posiciones Oficiales de Casada y Smith Como Legisladores para Obtener Fondos del Estado de Tennessee,” Dijo la Oficina del Fiscal de los Estados Unidos.

GOP Rep Drops Bill to Defund Communist Mayor

Rep. Buddy Carter (R-GA) plans to introduce a bill aimed at blocking federal funds from New York City so long as Democratic Socialist Zohran Mamdani is mayor.

The bill, the Moving American Money Distant from Anti-National Interests Act, or the “MAMDANI Act,” says, “notwithstanding any other provision of law, during any period in which Zohran Mamdani is mayor of New York, New York” that “any unobligated Federal funds available” for the city “are hereby rescinded.” It adds that “no Federal funds may be obligated or expended for any purpose to New York, New York.”

Carter told Fox News, “If New Yorkers want communism, we should let them have their wish and not artificially prop them up with our successful capitalist system.” He explained that “[a]ny New Yorker with common sense is welcome to move to the great, FREE state of Georgia.”

Ahead of New York City’s mayoral election, President Trump threatened to pull funding if Mamdani claimed the victory.

“If Communist Candidate Zohran Mamdani wins the Election for Mayor of New York City, it is highly unlikely that I will be contributing Federal Funds, other than the very minimum as required, to my beloved first home, because of the fact that, as a Communist, this once great City has ZERO chance of success, or even survival!” Trump wrote. “It can only get worse with a Communist at the helm, and I don’t want to send, as President, good money after bad.”

Mamdani’s election success marked a historic moment as he became New York City’s first Muslim mayor and the first candidate backed by the Democratic Socialists of America to win the position.

Trump Pardons Tennessee Republicans Targeted by Biden DOJ

President Trump pardoned former Tennessee House Speaker and his top aide weeks after they were sentenced to prison on corruption charges.

Former Republican State Rep. Glen Casada and his former Chief of Staff Cade Cothren, were sentenced in September to 36 months in federal prison, and 30 months in federal prison, respectively, for “honest services wire fraud; conspiracy to commit money laundering; using a fictitious name to carry out a fraud; and money laundering,” the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Tennessee explained.

“Yes the president called me today and granted me a full pardon. I am grateful of his trust and his full confidence in my innocence through this whole ordeal,” Casada said in a statement to WSMV4. “I’m a private citizen and looking forward to getting back to being with my family and friends. Literally hundreds of people have been praying for this and I’m thankful to the president and to the Lord for answering those prayers.”

A White House official told The Hill that the Biden-era Justice Department “significantly over-prosecuted these individuals for a minor issue involving constituent mailers — which were billed at competitive prices, never received a complaint from legislators, and resulted in a net profit loss of less than $5,000.”

“The Biden DOJ responded with an armed raid, perp walk and suggested sentences exceeding 10 years – penalties normally reserved for multimillion dollar fraudsters,” the official added.

Casada and Cothren were found guilty of the criminal actions in May. Beginning in late 2019, the two individuals, alongside former Tennessee State Representative Robin Smith, “engaged in a fraudulent scheme to enrich themselves by exploiting Casada and Smith’s official positions as legislators to obtain funds from the State of Tennessee,” the U.S. Attorney’s Office said.

Furry Democrat’s Violent Posts Spark Michigan Campaign Outrage

A self-described “furry” running for Congress has drawn national attention — and outrage — over his violent rhetoric and extremist posts. The scandal erupted after Michigan House candidate Samuel Smeltzer, who identifies as a honey badger, celebrated the assassinations of conservative activist Charlie Kirk and UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson.

Smeltzer, 36, an IT contractor from Lansing who goes by “Elyon Badger,” is running in the Democratic primary for Michigan’s Seventh Congressional District. Shortly after Kirk’s murder, Smeltzer posted on Bluesky, “If guns make us so safe, why am I dead?” and added, “I for one, celebrate the death of every Nazi.” He also praised the alleged shooter, writing, “Seeing the public support of the man who took action has actually started to cure my depression.”

The Furry Democrat candidate has a long record of inflammatory posts, including a 2024 tweet that got him banned from X for writing, “America deserved 9/11.” Smeltzer told the Washington Free Beacon he wants to bring “healthcare and tax the rich” policies to Congress while advocating for “the furry community,” which he called “the ultimate form of freedom in America.”

His opponent, former U.S. ambassador Bridget Brink, has not commented on the controversy despite Republican calls to condemn Smeltzer’s remarks. The race is considered a toss-up, with GOP incumbent Tom Barrett expected to face the Democratic nominee in November 2026.

Exposed: NJ Jihadi Teen Charged Over Islamist Threats

A jihadi teen in affluent Montclair, New Jersey, allegedly embraced violent Islamist extremism while bragging online that he was “the biggest antisemite in America,” federal prosecutors say. Court documents unsealed Thursday allege 19-year-old Milo Sedarat plotted violent assaults and openly threatened his mother’s Jewish friends, prompting a multi-state FBI and NYPD investigation that produced several arrests.

The criminal complaint paints a disturbing picture of radicalization inside a privileged suburban home. Authorities allege Sedarat traded direct messages that included: “I can’t wait for the day I get to execute like 10 yahood,” and told his mother that her Jewish friends “deserve to die.” Investigators recovered social-media images of Sedarat posing with swords and knives and evidence he practiced at gun ranges and bought tactical gear online.

Feds say Sedarat was arrested alongside other alleged co-conspirators tied to a broader ISIS-linked network. One charged co-conspirator, Tomas Kaan Jimenez-Guzel, is accused of seeking to travel to Syria and to carry out attacks after training; authorities say he discussed wanting notoriety akin to a “Wikipedia page” or a “Netflix special.” The complaint alleges the group planned mass-casualty attacks and sought religious validation from local extremist figures.

U.S. prosecutors and law-enforcement officials emphasized the threat was real despite the suspects’ backgrounds. The U.S. Attorney’s Office in New Jersey warned that radicalization “can foment anywhere,” including affluent communities. Local rabbis and civic leaders expressed shock that such violent hate took root in a diverse, liberal suburb once regarded as insulated from extremism.

Federal authorities executed multiple arrests across New Jersey, Michigan and Washington state and seized weapons and materials tied to the alleged conspiracy. Prosecutors have charged five adults and a juvenile so far; additional arrests and international leads were reported as investigators continue to dismantle the network.

The complaint frames this case as an urgent warning: violent extremist ideology can emerge in unlikely places and exploit online communities to recruit and operationalize violent plans. Law-enforcement officials credited interagency coordination and community reporting with preventing potential attacks, while signaling ongoing investigative work to identify any remaining collaborators.

Senate GOP Blocks Democrat Bid to Curb Trump’s Caribbean Drug War

Senate Republicans blocked a war powers resolution on Thursday that sought to limit President Donald Trump’s authority to conduct military strikes against alleged drug-smuggling vessels in the Caribbean. The vote preserved the administration’s ongoing operations targeting Venezuelan drug routes believed to be fueling narcotics flow into the United States.

The resolution, led by Sen. Tim Kaine (D-VA) and co-sponsored by Sen. Adam Schiff, (D-CA) and Sen. Rand Paul, (R-KY), aimed to halt the strikes and require congressional approval for further military action in the region. Kaine argued the Constitution requires debate and authorization before U.S. forces engage in hostilities. Only Paul and Sen. Lisa Murkowski, (R-AK), broke with most Republicans to support the measure.

President Trump defended his decision to authorize CIA-led operations in the Caribbean, saying Venezuela had “emptied their prisons into the United States of America” and that narcotics continued to flow in by sea. “We have a lot of drugs coming in from Venezuela, and a lot of the Venezuelan drugs come in through the sea,” Trump said. “So, you get to see that, but we’re going to stop them by land also.”

According to officials, the administration has carried out 16 strikes so far, resulting in the deaths of 66 individuals suspected of drug trafficking. The president also ordered the USS Gerald R. Ford aircraft carrier to the region to reinforce operations.

After a classified briefing from Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chair James Risch, R-Idaho, said he was “fully satisfied” with the administration’s justification, adding, “The president really ought to be congratulated for saving the lives of young American people.”

Elise Stefanik Runs to Take Down ‘Worst Governor in America’

Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY) has launched a gubernatorial campaign to replace Governor Kathy Hochul (D).

“Kathy Hochul is the Worst Governor in America,” Stefanik declared on X. “Under her failed leadership, New York is the most unaffordable state in the nation with the highest taxes, highest energy, utilities, rent, and grocery bills.”

“When New Yorkers were looking for leadership from our Governor, she bent the knee to the raging Defund the Police, Tax Hiking Communist causing catastrophe for New York families,” she wrote.

“I am running for Governor to make New York affordable and safe FOR ALL,” Stefanik declared. “Democrats, Republicans, and Independents will unify to save our state.” She urged Americans to “fire Hochul” and “save New York.”

“From the ashes of Kathy Hochul’s failed policies, New York will rise like we always do,” the campaign video’s narrator says. “The spirit of the Empire State cannot be broken. All we need is a courageous leader ready for the fight. Elise Stefanik will make New York affordable and safe.”

Hochul responded to Stefanik’s announcement, claiming the Republican is “running to deliver New York for Donald Trump and raise your costs.”

“Not on my watch,” she said. “My message to Trump’s ‘top ally’ — bring it on.”

New York State Conservative Party Chairman Gerard Kassar said the party is “thrilled” that Stefanik has entered the gubernatorial race.

“The Congresswoman will shake up the state with her energy, ideas, and vision, putting Gov. Kathy Hochul and her progressive/socialist colleagues on notice that the radical, leftward lurch of New York ends this November,” the statement read, adding, Ms. Stefanik’s announcement is giving hope to millions of New Yorkers otherwise ready to flee to Florida, Texas, or North Carolina. Her candidacy tells them: ‘Not so fast.’ Wiser heads can still turn this carnival around.”

A recent poll revealed that Stefanik was tied with Hochul for a potential 2026 gubernatorial matchup. The poll showed Hochul at 43% support and Stefanik at 42%, with 15% of likely voters still undecided.

Washington Post Slams Elizabeth Warren for Blaming Trump Over NFL Blackout

Photo by Shannon Finney/Getty Images for Care Can't Wait Action

Sen. Elizabeth Warren faced criticism from the Washington Post after attempting to blame President Donald Trump for the recent “Monday Night Football” blackout on YouTube TV. The Elizabeth Warren Trump dispute began when Warren claimed the blackout reflected corporate greed allowed to flourish under Trump’s leadership.

“You might not be able to watch ‘Monday Night Football’ tonight. Why? When companies get too big, they have the power to cut off your favorite channels. That’s what’s happening here. And what’s Trump done about it? He’s let them get away with it,” Warren wrote on X.

However, the Washington Post editorial board rebuked her accusation, publishing a column titled, “Elizabeth Warren knows better.” The editors wrote, “That is not, in fact, what’s happening here.” The blackout followed a contract dispute between Disney and YouTube TV, after the two companies failed to reach an agreement over distribution fees. Disney’s channels, including ESPN, ABC, and FX, were removed when talks broke down in late October.

“YouTube TV is trying to keep costs down for its customers, while Disney is trying to get the most value for its products,” the editorial said. “Buyers want prices to be lower, and sellers want prices to be higher. Such is life.” The Post further argued that Warren was effectively siding with Disney’s higher prices, asking, “Why should the president or a senator weigh in on Disney’s side, which is the side of higher prices for consumers?”

The editorial concluded that the dispute between Disney and Google was best left to the private sector. In a final jab, it wrote, “Warren, a former Harvard Law School professor who made big money consulting for corporations before she refashioned herself as a pitchfork populist, knows all this.”
