Kamala Harris Claims Biden Aides Tried to Keep Her Down in New Book

Former Vice President Kamala Harris accuses former President Joe Biden’s aides of undermining her role in the White House, according to excerpts from her forthcoming memoir 107 Days, set for release September 23.

Harris claims Biden’s inner circle failed to defend her against criticism and often worked to keep her in check. “When Fox News attacked me on everything from my laugh, to my tone of voice, to whom I’d dated in my 20s, or claimed I was a ‘DEI hire,’ the White House rarely pushed back with my actual résumé,” she writes. Despite a large communications staff, Harris argues, “getting anything positive said about my work or any defense against untrue attacks was almost impossible.”

Tensions reportedly flared after her 2024 speech in Selma, Ala., which she recalls as being “castigated for, apparently, delivering it too well.” Harris writes that the mindset inside the West Wing was “zero-sum,” believing “if she’s shining, he’s dimmed.”

Harris also highlights her role as “border czar,” saying she “shouldered the blame for the porous border” while “no one around the president advocated, Give her something she can win with.” According to her account, the treatment lasted until the final days of the administration. “It was almost nine minutes into the 11-minute address before he mentioned me,” Harris recalls of Biden’s farewell speech.

Her allegations raise new questions about party unity at a time when Democrats face mounting financial troubles, bitter infighting, and sinking approval ratings.

Deceptive Drug Ads Challenged Under New Crackdown

The Trump administration has moved to ban drug commercials on television in a new memorandum.

“The FDA has historically stipulated that a manufacturer, packer, or distributor must provide the public with materially complete information that fairly balances both the benefits and the risks of the drug,” Trump wrote. “Over time, however, the FDA’s requirements have permitted drug companies to include less information, particularly in broadcast advertising, and drug manufacturer advertising has skyrocketed in recent decades.”

“My Administration will ensure that the current regulatory framework for drug advertising results in fair, balanced, and complete information for American consumers,” the memo says, directing HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to “take appropriate action to ensure transparency and accuracy in direct-to-consumer prescription drug advertising, including by increasing the amount of information regarding any risks associated with the use of any such prescription drug required to be provided in prescription drug advertisements, to the extent permitted by applicable law.”

“For far too long, the FDA has permitted misleading drug advertisements, distorting the doctor-patient relationship and creating increased demand for medications regardless of clinical appropriateness,” FDA Commissioner Marty Makary said in a statement. “Drug companies spend up to 25% of their budget on advertising. Those billions of dollars would be better spent on lowering drug prices for everyday Americans.”

According to a 2024 review published in the Journal of Pharmaceutical Health Services Research, 100% of social media posts pertaining to pharmaceuticals highlight drug benefits, while only 33% reference risks posed by the drug.

The United States and New Zealand are the only countries that permit direct-to-consumer pharmaceutical advertising.

Inside the Wren Collective: How Left-Wing Donors Shape Justice

A new report reveals how the Wren Collective, a consulting firm funded by left-wing billionaires, has quietly shaped criminal justice policy for progressive prosecutors overseeing jurisdictions that impact 48 million Americans.

The Law Enforcement Legal Defense Fund (LELDF) found that the Wren Collective embedded itself in the offices of 40 prosecutors across 22 states, offering free policy proposals designed to ease prosecutions and weaken bail requirements. Emails show the group worked directly with former Portland district attorney Mike Schmidt, who took office during the 2020 riots.

“We should have mentioned this as well—we do this work without any billing or publicity,” senior attorney Amy Weber told Schmidt. She assured him that “these policies will be yours, not ours. We are just here to help you figure out how to implement meaningful changes to the criminal justice system in Portland.”

Schmidt soon adopted policies “nearly indistinguishable” from those Wren provided, including easing prosecution of protest-related crimes. His office later dismissed hundreds of cases tied to the Portland riots.

The group’s funding comes from donors including billionaire John Arnold, who has poured over $46 million into progressive criminal justice efforts, and Shaun King’s Real Justice PAC. According to LELDF, only two prosecutors paid the firm with taxpayer dollars; the rest relied on billionaire funding.

“This is a much deeper problem than people understand,” warned Sean Kennedy, LELDF’s policy director. “Donors fund the production, activists write the script, the Wren Collective directs the scene, and their client prosecutors dutifully act out their parts.”

Boston Mayor Michelle Wu Advances in Election as ICE Crackdown Intensifies

BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS - NOVEMBER 30: Mayor Michelle Wu speaks at the kick off for the Earthshot celebration at Speaker’s Corner by City Hall on November 30, 2022 in Boston, Massachusetts. The Prince and Princess of Wales are visiting the coastal city of Boston to attend the second annual Earthshot Prize Awards Ceremony, an event which celebrates those whose work is helping to repair the planet. During their trip, which will last for three days, the royal couple will learn about the environmental challenges Boston faces as well as meeting those who are combating the effects of climate change in the area. Boston Mayor Michelle Wu easily advanced in Tuesday’s preliminary election, even as an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) crackdown in Massachusetts underscored the growing clash between federal immigration enforcement and local sanctuary policies.

Wu, the first woman and person of color to serve as mayor, secured her spot on the November ballot alongside philanthropist Josh Kraft, son of New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft. The vote came as Wu defended Boston’s Trust Act, which limits cooperation with ICE.

The Department of Homeland Security announced Sunday that “ICE launched ‘Patriot 2.0’ to target the worst of the worst criminal illegal aliens living in the state of Massachusetts, following the success of Operation Patriot in May.” The agency specifically criticized sanctuary policies, warning: “Sanctuary policies like those pushed by Mayor Wu not only attract and harbor criminals but also place these public safety threats above the interests of law-abiding American citizens. ICE is arresting sex offenders, pedophiles, murderers, drug dealers, and gang members released by local authorities.”

Wu pushed back Monday, saying, “They are wrong on the law, and they are wrong on safety. This is why Boston has been the target.” She added that ICE “refuses to issue warrants, while we hear reports of ICE agents taking parents as they are dropping their kids off at school. That does not make our community safer.”

The Justice Department has sued Wu and other Boston officials for allegedly obstructing immigration enforcement. As ICE presses forward with its operation, the mayor remains defiant: “Boston is going to continue to uphold the Boston Trust Act,” she said.

Mount Sinai Mega Resort Sparks Outrage Over Sacred Site Exploitation

Egypt’s plan to build a mega resort at Mount Sinai has ignited fierce opposition from religious leaders and local communities. The “Great Transfiguration Project” aims to transform this sacred site, where Moses received the Ten Commandments, into a luxury tourism hub featuring hotels, shopping centers, and villas.

Mount Sinai holds immense spiritual significance, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Orthodox Monastery of St. Catherine, located at the mountain’s base, is central to the Greek Orthodox tradition. Archbishop Ieronymos II of Athens condemned the project, stating, “The monastery’s property is being seized and expropriated. This spiritual beacon of Orthodoxy and Hellenism is now facing an existential threat.”

Local tribes, including the Jebeleya, have suffered forced evictions. Homes and eco-camps were demolished, often with little or no compensation. British travel writer Ben Hoffler observed, “This is not development as the Jebeleya see it or asked for it, but how it looks when imposed top-down to serve the interests of outsiders over those of the local community.” The project, he warned, “will change their place in their homeland forever.”

While tourism in Egypt reached nearly 16 million visitors in 2024, the construction raises serious ethical and cultural concerns. Critics argue that commercializing a holy site prioritizes profit over preservation, displacing communities and undermining centuries of religious heritage.

As Archbishop Ieronymos II cautioned, the sacred site is facing an existential threat, signaling a clash between global tourism ambitions and the protection of faith and tradition.

Exposed: Greta Thunberg’s Claims of Flotilla Drone Attack Go up in Flames

Greta Thunberg’s Gaza flotilla hysteria just suffered a major blow. Tunisian authorities revealed the fire reported aboard Thunberg’s boat was not the result of a drone strike, but more likely caused by activists themselves. The Interior Ministry flatly stated there was “no basis in truth” to claims of an aerial attack.

Instead, officials pointed to a much less glamorous explanation: a fire ignited among life jackets, possibly from a cigarette. National Guard spokesman Houcem Eddine Jebabli confirmed that “no drones have been detected” and that preliminary findings show the blaze originated onboard.

This revelation shreds the narrative pushed by Thunberg’s Global Sumud Flotilla (GSF), which posted dramatic footage purporting to show something falling from the sky. In reality, the video appears more like a publicity stunt to draw attention to the so-called “aid mission.” Even Israeli officials have derided the voyage as a “selfie yacht” operation designed to make headlines rather than deliver meaningful assistance.

The flotilla, which launched from Barcelona in late August, was part of Thunberg’s latest attempt to challenge Israel’s blockade of Gaza. But history shows such efforts end the same way—ships seized, activists deported, and little aid reaching those they claim to help. As Israel’s Foreign Ministry put it, “There are ways to deliver aid to the Gaza Strip — they do not involve Instagram selfies.”

That blunt assessment exposes the core truth: Thunberg’s activism is less about humanitarian relief and more about theater. Tunisia’s rejection of the drone narrative underscores how quickly these spectacles fall apart once facts replace fantasy.

California Passes Bill Unmasking ICE

The California State Assembly passed a bill that criminalizes law enforcement officers wearing masks as part of his or her duties.

According to SB 627, the “routine use of facial coverings by law enforcement officers has significant implications for public perception, officer-community interactions, and accountability.” Facial coverings may cause members of the public to “experience fear or intimidation when approached by officers whose faces are obscured” and “may lead to misinterpretation of tone or intent.”

Exemptions to the face covering policy include active undercover operations, tactical operations, laws governing health and safety, and protection of identity during prosecution, the legislation explains.

California Highway Patrol officers are also exempted from the measure.

“It’s not local law enforcement that’s engaging in those tactics,” Jason Salazar, the President of the California Police Chiefs Association, told KCRA. “Our officers are following the law through good law enforcement and trying to provide public safety to our communities. This bill makes it harder to do that.”

SB 627, which passed the Assembly Public Safety Committee in July, is co-sponsored by State Senator Scott Weiner (D).

“The ICE masked secret police are raining terror on communities across California, and it has to stop. Law enforcement should never be easily confused with the guy in the ski mask robbing a liquor store, yet that’s what’s happening with ICE’s extreme masking behavior,” Weiner said. “ICE’s brazenly illegal conduct — including straight up racial profiling by masked, unidentified agents — is undermining public safety, creating extreme fear, and destroying confidence in law enforcement. If we want the public to trust law enforcement, we cannot allow any officer of the law to behave like secret police in an authoritarian state.”

Supreme Court Tariffs Case Could Trigger $1 Trillion Government Refund

The looming Supreme Court tariffs case could cost American taxpayers up to $1 trillion if President Trump’s signature trade measures are struck down. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent warned in a court filing that the government “could be forced to hand over between $750 billion and $1 trillion” should the justices side with importers challenging Trump’s tariffs.

The tariffs, launched during Trump’s “Liberation Day” announcement in April, have already delivered tens of billions into U.S. coffers. A staggering $30 billion was collected in July alone, a 242% increase from the same month last year. Supporters argue these revenues have strengthened America’s economic position against hostile foreign competitors.

However, lower courts have ruled the tariffs an executive overreach. Trump’s legal team has urged the Supreme Court to intervene swiftly, warning that “unwinding them could cause significant disruption.”

Solicitor General D. John Sauer captured the White House’s sentiments: “To the President and his most senior advisors, these tariffs thus present a stark choice: With tariffs, we are a rich nation; without tariffs, we are a poor nation.”

According to Sauer, “The economic consequences would be ruinous, instead of unprecedented success.”

FCC Targets CCP-Linked Labs in Bold Move to Protect U.S. Tech

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is finally taking long-overdue action against CCP-linked labs, launching proceedings to revoke their recognition in the United States. For too long, China’s Communist regime has been allowed inside America’s critical technology infrastructure. That era may be ending.

According to FCC chairman Brendan Carr, “the agency has now begun proceedings to withdraw recognition from seven test labs owned or controlled by the Chinese government.” These labs have been authorized to review electronics for U.S. use, including sensitive national security checks. Carr made it clear: “We’re now taking action to kick bad labs out of the U.S. system.”

The FCC already allowed recognition of four other Chinese labs to expire earlier this year. That followed rules barring “Chinese labs deemed risks to U.S. national security from testing electronic devices such as smartphones, cameras and computers for use in the United States,” as Reuters reported. For perspective, around 75 percent of FCC testing has taken place in China—an astonishing figure that underscores how deeply embedded Beijing has been in America’s supply chain.

This push builds on previous actions, including the FCC’s 2022 ban on Huawei and ZTE equipment approvals. With China’s state-owned enterprises tied to espionage risks, the stakes could not be higher. Carr summed up the urgency: “Foreign adversary governments should not own and control the labs that test the devices the FCC certifies as safe for the U.S. market.”

Trump Demands Death Penalty for Suspect Behind Charlotte Stabbing

President Trump has called for the suspect to receive the death penalty. “The ANIMAL who so violently killed the beautiful young lady from Ukraine, who came to America searching for peace and safety, should be given a ‘Quick’ (there is no doubt!) Trial, and only awarded THE DEATH PENALTY,” he declared on Truth Social. “There can be no other option!!! PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP”

Trump’s comments come as the Department of Justice has filed federal charges against the man behind the fatal stabbing of a Ukrainian refugee aboard a Charlotte, North Carolina, subway.

“Iryna Zarutska was a young woman living the American dream — her horrific murder is a direct result of failed soft-on-crime policies that put criminals before innocent people,” Attorney General Pam Bondi wrote on social media. “I have directed my attorneys to federally prosecute DeCarlos Brown Jr., a repeat violent offender with a history of violent crime, for murder. We will seek the maximum penalty for this unforgivable act of violence — he will never again see the light of day as a free man.”

FBI Director Kash Patel said the attack was “a disgraceful act that should never happen in America,” noting that the FBI “jumped to assist in this investigation immediately to ensure justice is served and the perpetrator is never released from jail to kill again.”

If convicted, Brown faces a “maximum statutory sentence of life in prison or death,” although his “sentence will be determined by the Court based on the advisory sentencing guidelines and other statutory factors,” the DOJ explained in a press release.

Trump has also released a video statement condemning the policies within Democrat-run cities following the death of Zarutska. Discussing the horror of her death, the president stated, “We cannot allow a depraved criminal element of violent repeat offenders to continue spreading destruction and death throughout our country. We have to respond with force and strength. We have to be vicious, just like they are. It’s the only thing they understand.”
