Rep. Cory Mills introduced a bill to make the southern border wall a national monument.

The bill, called the “DON-ument Act,” seeks to “protect the southern border wall from alteration.” It would cover California, Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas.

“I’m proud to introduce THE DON-ument Act, a tribute to President Trump’s commitment to securing our southern border and protecting America’s sovereignty,” Mills said in a statement to The Hill. “This Southern Border Wall National Monument, spanning California, Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas, stands as a powerful symbol of our mission to stop illegal crossings and defend our nation’s interests. By enshrining the wall alongside historic sites like The Statue of Liberty and Fort McHenry, we honor the America First principles that keep our communities safe and strong.”

In 2021, former Rep. Madison Cawthorn (R-NC) introduced his own “Donument Act.”

“This bill establishes the Southern Border Wall National Monument in the states of California, Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas to protect the southern border wall from alteration,” a bill summary read, noting that the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) would have administered the monument.

Separately, the Pentagon recently unveiled a new medal for service members deployed to the southern border as part of President Donald Trump’s crackdown on illegal immigration.

“Effective immediately, the Mexican Border Defense Medal (MBDM) is hereby established to recognize Service members deployed to the U.S. international border with Mexico for DoD support to United States Customs and Border Protection (CBP),” the memo says, adding that the “Award of the Armed Forces Service Medial for Department of Defense Support to Customs and Border Protect” is rescinded.

Missouri Lawmakers Approve New Congressional Map

Missouri lawmakers have approved a new congressional map backed by President Trump.

“Congratulations to Missouri’s incredible Republican State Legislators, who just overwhelmingly voted to pass their new, much fairer, and improved, Congressional Map,” Trump wrote on Truth Social on September 9. “It was my Great Honor to win Missouri six times, including Primaries, in 2016, 2020, and 2024 (Getting the Highest Number of Votes for any Office in the History of the State!), and this new Map will give the wonderful people of Missouri the opportunity to elect an additional MAGA Republican in the 2026 Midterm Elections.”

“The Missouri Senate must pass this Map now, AS IS, to deliver a gigantic Victory for Republicans in the ‘Show Me State,’ and across the Country,” Trump wrote. “I will be watching closely. THANK YOU MISSOURI — MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”

State Rep. Dirk Deaton, a Republican, told NBC News that the maps will “ultimately result in Missouri values being reflected and represented in Washington, D.C. — and we know Missouri is a very conservative state.”

After the Texas House successfully passed its own redistricting legislation, Trump said, “Big WIN for the Great State of Texas!!! Everything Passed, on our way to FIVE more Congressional seats and saving your Rights, your Freedoms, and your Country, itself. Texas never lets us down.”

“Florida, Indiana, and others are looking to do the same thing,” he said. “More seats equals less Crime, a great Economy, and a STRONG SECOND AMENDMENT.”

Vice President J.D. Vance has defended Republican redistricting efforts, saying, “All we’re doing, frankly, is trying to make the situation a little bit more fair.”

Trump Confirms Investigation into Soros

During an appearance on Fox & Friends, President Trump said his administration plans to investigate Democrat megadonor George Soros for possible racketeering charges.

“We’re going to look into Soros,” Trump said, “because I think it’s a RICO case against him and other people. Because this is more than like protests. This is real agitation. This is riots on the street. And we’re going to look into it.”

He added that there are “professional agitators” that work for Soros-linked entities.

In August, Trump declared on Truth Social that “George Soros, and his wonderful Radical Left son, should be charged with RICO because of their support of Violent Protests, and much more, all throughout the United States of America. We’re not going to allow these lunatics to rip apart America any more, never giving it so much as a chance to ‘BREATHE,’ and be FREE.”

“Soros, and his group of psychopaths, have caused great damage to our Country! That includes his Crazy, West Coast friends. Be careful, we’re watching you! Thank you for your attention to this matter!”

Two left-wing organizations fueled by Soros’ Open Society Foundation have propelled recent protests against Trump’s crime crackdown in Washington, DC. Community Change and Community Change Action received $12.6 million from Soros’ Open Society Foundations. The groups also took in $5.6 million from Arabella Advisors and $1.9 million from the Tides Foundation between 2020 and 2023.

Similarly, a Soros-backed group used the courts to block President Donald Trump’s efforts to deport violent criminal illegal aliens to South Sudan. Human Rights First, which has received millions from George and Alexander Soros’s Open Society Foundations, is behind a lawsuit that has tied the Trump administration’s hands in removing illegal alien criminals from the U.S.

Florida Democrat Urged to Resign After Ridiculing Charlie Kirk’s Assassination

Palmetto Bay Councilmember Steve Cody is facing calls to resign after he made a comment on social media mocking the death of Charlie Kirk.

“Charlie Kirk is a fitting sacrifice to our Lords: Smith and Wesson. Hallowed be their names,” he wrote in a post that has since been deleted. The comment also featured a statement Kirk previously made regarding firearms.

He later apologized for the comments, admitting that he made a “significant error in judgment,” describing his action as being born out of his “deep anger and frustration with the now too common tragedy of gun violence.”

“I am committed to learning from this mistake, to exercising significantly greater care in all my future communications, and to dedicating my energy to the issues that are most critical to the well-being and prosperity of our community,” Cody’s apology read.

The Florida GOP has urged him to resign, stating, “This wasn’t just mocking a murdered patriot. It was spitting on Charlie’s faith, ridiculing his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and sneering at a family and a movement grieving a tragedy. His words are vile and hateful.”

“Cody’s behavior is part of a long pattern. He has bullied his neighbors, silenced residents, cut off council members mid-sentence, and shut down dissent at every turn,” the statement continued. “Time and again, he has revealed himself not as a leader, but as a bully drunk on power.”

The mayor of Palmetto Bay has also condemned Cody’s comments.

“Violence has no place in our community or in our nation, and words that seek to diminish or make light of such tragedy are equally harmful,” Mayor Karyn Cunningham wrote, in part. “The people of Palmetto Bay deserve leadership that reflects compassion, responsibility, and dignity in moments of crisis.”

“With this in mind, and with great respect for the office I hold, I must call for Councilman Cody to step down. The people of Palmetto Bay deserve leadership that reflects compassion, responsibility, and dignity in moments of crisis,” she said.

Pentagon ‘Tracking’ Statements on Assassination

Defense officials warned that the Pentagon is tracking comments made by department employees and service members, warning them not to make comments making light of Charlie Kirk’s assassination.

“It is unacceptable for military personnel and Department of War civilians to celebrate or mock the assassination of a fellow American,” Pentagon Chief Spokesperson Sean Parnell wrote on X. “The Department of War has zero tolerance for it.”

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth responded to Parnell’s statement: “We are tracking all these very closely — and will address, immediately. Completely unacceptable.”

Air Force Secretary Troy Meink added that the Air Force is “aware of inappropriate comments concerning recent political violence. This behavior is unacceptable and contrary to our core values. Airmen and Guardians are expected to uphold the highest standards of professionalism and conduct at all times.”

Army Secretary Daniel Driscoll similarly said, “Posts that celebrate or mock the assassination of a fellow American are inconsistent with Army values. Full stop.”

Navy Secretary John Phelan wrote, “I am aware of posts displaying contempt toward a fellow American who was assassinated. I want to be very clear: any uniformed or civilian employee of the Department of the Navy who acts in a manner that brings discredit upon the Department, the @USNavy or the @USMC will be dealt with swiftly and decisively.”

On Thursday, Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau urged people to report foreign visa applicants if they were known to have made comments supporting or making light of the death of Charlie Kirk.

UN Overwhelmingly Votes to Endorse Two-State Solution

The United Nations General Assembly voted 142-10 to endorse a declaration for a two-state solution between Israel and Palestine.

Twelve countries abstained from the vote.

According to an article from the UN, the New York Declaration “involves an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, release of all hostages held there, and the establishment of a Palestinian State that is both viable and sovereign” and “calls for the disarmament of Hamas and its exclusion from governance in Gaza, normalization of relations between Israel and the Arab countries, as well as collective security guarantees.”

The United States’ delegation to the United Nations staunchly opposed the declaration, stating the position should “come as no surprise.”

“General Assembly action on the New York Declaration is yet another misguided and ill-timed publicity stunt that undermines serious diplomatic efforts to end the conflict,” Counselor Morgan Ortagus said. “Make no mistake – this resolution is a gift to Hamas. It is likewise cynical, transparently driven by the domestic politics rather than a serious foreign policy agenda.”

“Far from promoting peace, the conference has already prolonged the war, emboldened Hamas, and harmed the prospects of peace in both short and long term,” Ortagus added. “The United States will not participate in this insult to the victims of October 7, but we will continue to lead real-world efforts to end the fighting and to deliver a permanent peace.”

Ortagus noted that the declaration “fails to recognize the reality that Hamas’ terrorism on October 7 was the reason this war was necessary,” and further condemned that it contained language endorsing the “right of return,” leading to the “demographic death of Israel as a Jewish state.”

Charlie Kirk’s Legacy Recognized by House Lawmakers

Republican lawmakers have co-sponsored a resolution by Rep. Cory Mills (R-FL) memorializing Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk.

The resolution, called “Honoring Charlie Kirk Following His Assassination on September 10, 2025, in Orem, Utah,” stated that a “gunman opened fire at a Turning Point USA event hosted by Charlie Kirk, a faith-based conservative spokesman and thought leader, targeting him specifically.”

The filing declares that the House of Representatives “condemns in the strongest possible terms this horrific political assassination, which occurred at Utah Valley University, of Charlie Kirk, on September 10, 2025,” and “offers its heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, and loved ones of Charlie Kirk, who was killed in the attack.”

It further “recognizes the service of the security team, first responders, and the health care professionals who jumped into action” and “reaffirms the bedrock principle of American democracy and representative government, which is memorialized in the First Amendment to the Constitution,” which the resolution notes includes the “right of the people peaceably to assemble.”

The House of Representatives commits to standing firm “in its belief in a democracy in which all can participate and in which intimidation and threats of violence cannot silence the voice of any American.”

President Donald Trump confirmed the arrest of the suspected assassin in a Friday interview on Fox & Friends. “I think with a high-degree of certainty, we have him,” Trump said, adding, “essentially, someone who knew him turned him in.”

“We have the person that we think is the person we’re looking for, but they drove into the police headquarters, and he’s there now,” Trump said.

Crockett Dismisses Death of Young Woman Slain by Migrant

Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) called Kayla Hamilton, a young woman killed by an illegal immigrant, a “random dead person” during a House Judiciary Committee meeting.

“You take a situation, and then you exploit what has happened to not only that person, but you exploit those families, and you make it a game,” Crockett said during the meeting. “Stop just throwing a random dead person’s name on something for your own political expediency.”

Crockett’s comments were part of a larger discussion surrounding Rep. Russell Fry’s (R-SC) bill called the Kayla Hamilton Act, which mandates that the Health and Human Services Secretary determine whether unaccompanied migrant children pose a danger to themselves or to the community.

“This person was a vibrant soul, had a life, was pursuing a degree, she’s not ‘some random dead person,'” Fry said. He added that the young woman “wasn’t a ‘random dead person,’ she was one of many people who have been victimized by the lawless border problems created by the last administration.”

“You refuse to acknowledge it, and that’s shameful,” he said.

“The tragic murder of Kayla Hamilton was preventable,” Fry said in a statement upon introducing the bill. “The Biden Administration’s policies opened the door to criminal exploitation of our immigration system—and the Kayla Hamilton Act ensures that no future administration can make those same reckless decisions. It’s time we put public safety, accountability, and the protection of American citizens first. This bill makes clear that the integrity of our immigration system can no longer be an afterthought.”

Florida Cracks Down on Teachers Mocking Charlie Kirk’s Death

Florida Commissioner of Education Anastasios Kamoutsas sent a letter to the state’s school district superintendents, warning them that they must maintain professional conduct or face repercussions.

“Teachers are held to a higher standard as public servants and must ensure their conduct does not undermine the trust of the students and families they serve,” he wrote on X. “We will hold teachers who choose to make disgusting comments about the horrific assassination of Charlie Kirk accountable. Govern yourselves accordingly.”

Kamoutsas’ letter condemns Florida educators who have “posted despicable comments on social media” regarding Kirk’s death, declaring that he will conduct investigations into “every educator who engages in this vile, sanctionable behavior.”

The memorandum “serves to remind superintendents and their employees that they are held to a higher standard as public servants,” it explains, adding that First Amendment rights “do not extend without limit into their professional duties.”

“An educator’s personal views that are made public may undermine the trust of the students and families that they serve,” the memo reads.

“Govern yourselves accordingly,” Kamoutsas warned.

“Celebrating the assassination of a 31 year old father of two young kids is disturbing; that teachers would be among those who do so is completely unacceptable,” Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) said in a statement.

“Glad @StasiKamoutsas is bringing accountability,” he added. “It is sad that we’ve seen a number of teachers across America celebrate Charlie Kirk’s murder.”

Some educators across the country, like a professor at the University of Michigan, have defended the assassination of Charlie Kirk, calling it a “solution.”

Bolsonaro Witch Hunt Sparks Threat of Significant U.S. Response

The conviction of former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro has been widely condemned by conservatives as a Bolsonaro witch hunt. U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio blasted the 27-year prison sentence, calling it a politically motivated attack.

“The political persecutions by sanctioned human rights abuser Alexandre de Moraes continue, as he and others on Brazil’s supreme court have unjustly ruled to imprison former President Jair Bolsonaro,” Rubio wrote on X. He warned, “The United States will respond accordingly to this witch hunt.”

Bolsonaro’s conviction for allegedly plotting a coup to stop leftist Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva from taking office drew swift reaction from Washington. Rubio announced that Supreme Court Justice Alexandre de Moraes and his allies will face U.S. visa revocations and additional sanctions.

President Donald Trump defended his former ally, saying, “I watched that trial. I know him pretty well. I thought he was a good president of Brazil, and it’s very surprising that could happen very much like they tried to do with me, but they didn’t get away with it at all.”

Eduardo Bolsonaro, the former president’s son, told Reuters, “We are going to have a firm response with actions from the U.S. government against this dictatorship that is being installed in Brazil.”

In the end, this case is more than just about Brazil—it highlights how global elites are weaponizing courts to crush conservative leaders.
