Conservative Influencer Savannah Craven Antao Warns Leftist Violence Won’t Stop After Brutal Assault

Conservative influencer and pro-life advocate, Savannah Craven Antao says she has already felt the sting of political violence—and fears it won’t be the last time. In an interview with Fox News Digital, she recalled being attacked on the streets of New York earlier this year, saying the assault left her with her “whole face cut open.”

“A lot of the time I’m met with violence and that led to me being brutally assaulted on the street back in April,” Craven Antao said. She tied her experience to the broader climate of hostility against conservatives, especially following the assassination of activist Charlie Kirk. “A difference of opinion is something that they’re willing to not only call you names over, assault you over, but then now we see, kill you over.”

Craven Antao credits her faith and Kirk’s influence for keeping her committed to speaking out. Quoting 2 Timothy 3:12—”all who want to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted”—she said the left’s violence is “nothing surprising.”

Her attacker walked free after Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg’s office dropped the case due to a missed filing deadline, a decision critics see as yet another example of soft-on-crime policies protecting violent offenders.

Still, she refuses to back down. “My goal is just to continue [Charlie Kirk’s] legacy and continue to try to save our country,” she said, warning conservatives to “be prepared for everything” as political violence escalates.

Oregon Sues Trump Amid National Guard Deployment

Oregon Attorney General Dan Rayfield has filed a lawsuit against the Trump administration, seeking to block the deployment of National Guard members in Portland.

Rayfield’s lawsuit claims that the Trump administration has “infringed on Oregon’s sovereign power to manage its own law enforcement activity and National Guard resource. Far from promoting public safety, Defendants’ provocative and arbitrary actions threaten to undermine public safety by inciting a public outcry.”

The filing asserts that the federalization of the troops violates the Tenth Amendment, arguing that “police power—including the authority to promote safety at protests and deter violent crime— resides with the states, not the federal government.”

“And by singling out a particular disfavored jurisdiction for political retribution, these actions also eviscerate the constitutional principle that the states’ sovereignty should be treated equally,” it states.

Rayfield announced the lawsuit in a video statement, sharing that the filing was entered “less than 6 hours after receiving formal notice that the President had federalized Oregon’s National Guard in Portland.”

The lawsuit follows a memo issued by War Secretary Pete Hegseth, who wrote on September 28 that “200 members of the Oregon National Guard will be called into Federal service effective immediately for a period of 60 days.”

Hegseth’s memo stemmed from a June effort by President Trump to “call into Federal service members and units of the National Guard under 10 U.S.C. 12406 to temporarily protect ICE and other United States Government personnel who are performing Federal functions, including the enforcement of Federal law, and to protect Federal property, at locations where protests against these functions are occurring or are likely to occur based on current threat assessments and planned operations.”

Price Hikes Hit Your Morning Brew: Coffee Prices Soar Under Tariffs, Supply Crunch

Americans are waking up to a bitter reality: their daily cup of coffee costs more than ever. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, a coffee price crisis is hitting wallets hard, with prices up 20.9% from last year and 3.6% in just one month—the steepest increase since 2011.

Roasted coffee prices surged 21.7% year-over-year, while instant coffee climbed 20.1%. With less than 1% of coffee produced in the United States, Americans rely almost entirely on imports—leaving consumers vulnerable to both global weather events and Washington’s economic policies.

Brazil and Vietnam, which account for half of the world’s coffee supply, have been battered by drought and bad weather. At the same time, tariffs imposed earlier this year are making a bad situation worse. In April, the White House slapped a 10% tariff on imports, followed by a staggering 50% tariff on Brazilian coffee in July.

Scott Lincicome of the Cato Institute explained, “That’s inevitable when you raise taxes on a product that simply can’t be made in the United States and for which there is what we call inelastic demand.” In other words, coffee lovers can’t cut back—even as prices spike.

For hardworking Americans, this is yet another reminder of how economic mismanagement turns life’s small comforts into luxuries.

Washington Post Torches Kamala Harris Book Tour as Democrats Look to 2028

Even the liberal media can’t cover for Kamala Harris anymore. The Washington Post editorial board blasted the former vice president’s return to the spotlight, mocking her book tour as “even less compelling than her presidential campaign” and warning Democrats they don’t “have time to waste” on her in 2028.

Harris sat down last week for softball interviews with MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow and ABC’s The View, but still came across as “uncomfortable and inauthentic,” according to the Post. The board said her memoir, 107 Days, proved just as unimpressive, with “virtually every page” reminding readers “why she failed to close the deal” as a national candidate.

The editors accused Harris of settling personal scores and showcasing “the sort of small-mindedness that Democrats rightly knock President Donald Trump for.” Instead of presenting herself as a leader, Harris projected the image of “an A student who tells interviewers her greatest weakness is that she’s just too much of a perfectionist.”

The conclusion was scathing: “Democrats have a real shot at victory in 2028, but they won’t have time to waste on someone like the former vice president.”

Other liberal commentators piled on. Former CNN journalist Chris Cillizza wrote that Harris’ media tour proved “she is simply not a very good politician. And she hasn’t gotten much better over her decades in the business.”

For conservatives, this is nothing new—Harris has long failed to connect with voters. But when even the Washington Post says Democrats must move on, it’s clear her political future is dim.

Illinois Democrat Candidate Joins Protest Where Crowd Chanted ‘Shoot ICE’

Illinois congressional candidate Kat Abughazaleh, a Democrat and former Media Matters for America staffer, openly joined demonstrators at an anti-ICE rally where protesters shouted violent slogans, including “shoot ICE” and “shoot the [Expletive].” Abughazaleh herself attempted to obstruct federal officers, proudly posting videos of her actions online.

“At the Broadview ICE facility, an ICE agent tried to run dozens of protesters over with an SUV as we walked on a public crosswalk,” she claimed in one post. Her video shows activists blocking an ICE vehicle before agents deployed pepper balls to disperse the mob.

Additional footage captured Abughazaleh seated with fellow demonstrators singing protest songs—but the rally’s darker tone soon emerged, as agitators escalated to calls for bloodshed against law enforcement. The chants came just days after a leftist gunman attacked an ICE facility, killing one federal employee, and only a short time after the political assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.

Abughazaleh, whose campaign platform includes recognizing a “Palestinian state” and promises of “no capitulation to fascists,” has embraced the far-left flank of her party. She has earned the endorsement of Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA) and faces Evanston mayor Daniel Biss in the 2026 Democratic primary for Illinois’s Ninth District.

By aligning herself with radicals advocating violence, Abughazaleh highlights a disturbing trend within the Democratic Party: activists who glorify extremism while seeking public office. The presence of a congressional hopeful at a protest where crowds shouted “shoot ICE” raises grave questions about the left’s tolerance for political violence.

Democrats and Mamdani’s DSA Mourn Convicted Cop Killer in Shameful Tribute

Zohran Mamdani’s Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) sparked outrage by honoring Assata Shakur, a convicted cop killer once placed on the FBI’s “most wanted terrorist” list. The socialist group praised Shakur, who gunned down New Jersey state trooper Werner Foerster in 1973, claiming the “American state brutally oppressed” her and her fellow Black Panthers. The DSA declared, “Rest in Power, Assata Shakur,” after Cuba confirmed she died at 78.

Shakur’s radical legacy is well documented. Convicted of murder in 1977, she escaped prison with the help of the Black Liberation Army and fled to communist Cuba under Fidel Castro’s protection. The FBI later reported the group’s goal was simple: “to ‘kill cops'” and seize control of communities. Shakur was also tied to bank robberies and a 1971 grenade attack on NYPD officers.

Mamdani’s silence on the DSA’s tribute raises troubling questions about his political allegiances. He once demanded to “defund the police” and initially refused to condemn the chant, “Globalize the intifada.”

Adding fuel to the fire, House Democrats Summer Lee, Ayanna Pressley, and Yvette Clarke also honored Shakur. Clarke said, “If there is a single truth in this world, it is that Assata died a free woman.” Pressley echoed: “Rest in Peace and Power.”

The embrace of a convicted cop killer highlights the far left’s moral bankruptcy. Instead of celebrating America’s fallen officers, Democrat leaders and their socialist allies continue to romanticize radicals who waged war on law enforcement.

Trump Slams Foreign-Made Movies in New Tariff Threat

President Donald Trump declared that he will be placing a tariff on movies produced outside of the United States.

Announcing the move on Truth Social, Trump said, “Our movie making business has been stolen from the United States of America, by other Countries, just like stealing ‘candy from a baby.’ California, with its weak and incompetent Governor, has been particularly hard hit!”

“Therefore, in order to solve this long time, never ending problem, I will be imposing a 100% Tariff on any and all movies that are made outside of the United States,” he wrote.

Governor Gavin Newsom’s press office condemned Trump’s call, writing on X, “The Governor tried to explain this to Trump months ago — when this was initially proposed — that his actions will cause irreparable damage to the U.S. film industry.” The office added that the effort is “100% stupid.”

Trump initially threatened to impose 100% tariffs on foreign-made movies in May, explaining that “Hollywood, and many other areas within the U.S.A., are being devastated.” He likened the situation to a national security threat through other countries’ film incentives, noting, “This is a concerted effort by other Nations and, therefore, a National Security threat. It is, in addition to everything else, messaging and propaganda!”

Newsom said at the time that California was ” eager to partner with the Trump administration to further strengthen domestic production and Make America Film Again.”

Reynolds Martin, President and CEO of the Canadian Media Producers Association (CMPA), said in May that the tariffs would cause “significant disruption and economic hardship to the media production sectors on both sides of the Canada-US border.”

FBI Probes Georgetown Anti-Fascist Threats After Flyers Glorify Violence

Georgetown University has called in the FBI after alarming flyers promoting an anti-fascist extremist group appeared across campus, glorifying violence and targeting conservative voices. The flyers urged students to “join the John Brown Club,” referencing the radical John Brown Gun Club—an organization tied to violent attacks on U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement facilities and openly supportive of political violence.

One flyer boasted the club as “the only political group that celebrates when Nazis die,” while another depicted conservative leader Charlie Kirk bleeding from his neck with the words, “FOLLOW YOUR LEADER / REST IN [EXPLETIVE] CHARLIE KIRK.” Such messages echo the rhetoric of the accused assassin who inscribed “Hey, fascist! Catch!” on one of his bullets.

University officials acted swiftly, removing the flyers and reporting them to law enforcement. “Georgetown University has no tolerance for calls for violence or threats to the university,” a spokesperson stated. “Upon discovering the new flyers, the university removed them and reported them to the FBI.”

This escalation underscores the growing danger of far-left extremism festering on college campuses. Instead of fostering debate, radicals are pushing intimidation and threats against conservative students. The so-called John Brown Gun Club has a track record of encouraging violence, with members involved in attacks on ICE facilities in Texas and Washington state.

Georgetown now faces the challenge of ensuring safety for students under the shadow of extremist propaganda. As the university vowed, “The university’s team of safety and security experts, including its police department and specialized threat assessment professionals, will continue to investigate this incident and work in partnership with law enforcement to ensure the safety of our community.”

Taliban Releases U.S. Citizen

Over the weekend, the Taliban released a U.S. citizen detained in Afghanistan.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio said the release of Amir Amiry is “thanks to President Trump’s leadership and commitment to the American people.”

“We express our sincere gratitude to Qatar, whose strong partnership and tireless diplomatic efforts were vital to securing his release,” Rubio said on September 28. “This homecoming reflects this Administration’s determination, reinforced by the President’s recent Executive Order, to protect U.S. nationals from wrongful detention abroad. While this marks an important step forward, additional Americans remain unjustly detained in Afghanistan. President Trump will not rest until all our captive citizens are back home.”

According to the Taliban Foreign Affairs Ministry spokesperson, Hafiz Zia Ahmad, Foreign Minister Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi Amiri’s release demonstrates “that the Government of Afghanistan does not view issues concerning foreign nationals from a political perspective, & reiterated that diplomacy provides pathways for resolving such matters. He further noted that the release of the American national represented a positive step forward, & expressed gratitude to the State of Qatar for its effective role in facilitating prisoner releases between IEA & U.S.A.”

President Trump signed an executive order earlier this month aimed at strengthening efforts to protect U.S. citizens from wrongful detentions overseas. “The United States Government is committed to using every tool available to curb this coercive tactic used by foreign adversaries and must hold such adversaries to account,” the order says. “No American should fear being taken as a political pawn by rogue states. Wrongful detentions are an affront to the rule of law and aim to undermine our leadership on the world stage. The United States will not tolerate these attacks on our sovereignty and U.S. nationals.”

NBC News ICE Story Backfires After False Claim on Child Detention

NBC News is under fire for spreading a misleading ICE story that falsely accused federal agents of using a five-year-old autistic girl “to pressure her father to surrender.” In reality, ICE says the child’s father, Edward Hip Mejia—a Guatemalan national living illegally in the U.S. for 20 years—abandoned her while fleeing arrest.

NBC’s original headline, “ICE held 5-year-old autistic girl in Massachusetts to pressure father to surrender, family says,” was quietly corrected hours later. The outlet admitted its story “mischaracterized the activities of ICE agents.” But Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) amplified the false narrative on X, writing, “This is vile and beyond cruel. Abolish ICE,” and has left her post online even after NBC deleted its own.

According to DHS spokeswoman Tricia McLaughlin, Mejia “ignored law enforcement emergency lights to pull over and drove back to his house. He fled from the car, gave officers the double middle finger, and darted inside his house. He abandoned his 5-year-old daughter in the car. Officers helped rescue the child and called local police to report the abandonment.”

McLaughlin also revealed Mejia’s past arrests for domestic abuse and strangulation, details NBC omitted. She added, “ICE agents NEVER used a 5-year-old girl as ‘bait.’ Disgusting smears like these peddled by the media are leading to a 1000% increase in assaults against our brave law enforcement.”

As anti-ICE violence rises—including this week’s deadly Dallas shooting—Vice President J.D. Vance warned, “The obsessive attack on law enforcement, particularly ICE, must stop.”
