Gazans Urge Hamas to Accept Trump Peace Deal: ‘Enough Is Enough’

The Trump peace plan is gaining unexpected traction among Gazan civilians, who are urging Hamas to accept the former president’s proposal to disarm in exchange for an immediate ceasefire. According to the New York Times, residents in Gaza City are openly pressuring the terror group to end the war.

“Hamas must say yes to this offer—we have been through hell already,” said Mahmoud Bolbol, a father of six in Gaza City. “Hamas needs to understand: Enough is enough,” he added, accusing the group of dragging civilians into its conflict with Israel.

Unveiled Monday alongside Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Trump’s 20-point plan begins with Hamas surrendering its weapons and releasing all remaining hostages. In return, Israel would release Palestinian prisoners serving life sentences. Trump warned that if Hamas rejects the deal, the U.S. would give Israel its “full backing” to “finish the job of destroying the threat of Hamas.”

Interviews suggest many Gazans support the plan. “We are dying for nothing, and no one cares about us,” said Nasayem Muqat. Another resident, Abdelhalim Awad, said he would accept almost “any price” for peace but doubted Hamas would listen. “They don’t care about what people think or public opinion. If they cared about that, we wouldn’t be in this situation.”

Newsom Threatens Colleges Embracing Academic Freedom

California Governor Gavin Newsom (D) threatened to cut funding for schools that align with the White House’s “Compact for Academic Excellence in Higher Education,” which calls for universities to agree to a list of policies or risk losing federal funding.

“If any California University signs this radical agreement, they’ll lose billions in state funding — including Cal Grants — instantly,” Newsom said in a press release. “California will not bankroll schools that sell out their students, professors, researchers, and surrender academic freedom.”

According to the governor’s office, the compact “would impose strict government-mandated definitions of academic terms, erase diversity, and rip control away from campus leaders to install government-mandated conservative ideology in its place.”

The document states that the compact “represents the priorities of the U.S. government in its engagements with universities that benefit from the relationship.”

The document lists the following as part of the agreement:

  • admissions equality
  • marketplace of ideas
  • nondiscriminatory faculty
  • institutional neutrality
  • student learning
  • student equality
  • financial responsibility
  • avoiding foreign entanglements
  • honoring religious instutitions’ preferences
  • hiring an external party to conduct an independent review of the university’s compliance with the compact

“Signatories to this compact commit themselves to fostering a vibrant marketplace of ideas on campus. A vibrant marketplace of ideas requires an intellectually open campus environment, with a broad spectrum of ideological viewpoints present and no single ideology dominant, both along political and other relevant lines,” the compact reads, explaining that schools involved in the agreement further “commit themselves to revising governance structures as necessary to create such an environment, including but not limited to transforming or abolishing institutional units that purposefully punish, belittle, and even spark violence against conservative ideas.”

Shutdown Hypocrisy: Democrats Keep Paychecks While Workers Suffer Due to Their Votes

The Democrat shutdown pay controversy is growing after all but four Democrats in Congress voted against a GOP funding bill that would have kept the government open. As a result, millions of federal workers now go without paychecks—while members of Congress still receive their $174,000 taxpayer-funded salaries.

Federal law ensures lawmakers are paid during a shutdown, though they can defer or donate their checks. At least six Senate Republicans, including Sen. Katie Britt (R-AL), have asked to withhold their pay, joined by some Democrats like Rep. Andy Kim (D-NJ). But many prominent Democrats who denounce the shutdown have not followed suit.

Sen. Ruben Gallego (D-AZ) rejected the idea outright, telling NBC News, “I’m not wealthy, and I have three kids. I would basically be missing, you know, mortgage payments, rent payments, child support.” The Republican National Committee blasted him for “shamelessly” taking a paycheck while federal workers are left empty-handed.

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) dodged when asked if he would forgo his $193,400 salary, saying shutdown decisions were up to each member. Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) admitted, “members of Congress—we still get paid,” but has not pledged to give up her own paycheck.

Meanwhile, Sens. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) and Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) highlighted that “our service members? Unpaid,” yet neither has announced plans to decline their salaries.

Even Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA), who warned of “tremendous hardship for a lot of federal employees,” has not said he will donate or defer his salary. Schiff himself is worth at least $1.2 million.

The contrast between rhetoric and action is stark. As Schiff himself put it, “They still have rent to pay, they still have a mortgage to pay, they still have food to buy, they still have medicine to buy.”

FDA Approves Abortion Pill

The Food and Drug Administration approved a generic abortion pill.

In a letter to Evita Solutions, the FDA wrote, “We have completed the review of this [new drug application] and have concluded that adequate information has been presented to demonstrate that the drug meets the requirements for approval under the FD&C Act. We have determined your Mifepristone Tablets, 200 mg to be bioequivalent and therapeutically equivalent to the reference listed drug (RLD), Mifeprex (mifepristone) tablets, 200 mg, of Danco Laboratories, LLC.”

A statement from Evita Solutions says that the “generic mifepristone” can be used “up to 70 days from the first day of the last menstrual period.”

Senator Josh Hawley (R-MO) condemned the approval in a statement on X, writing, “This is shocking. FDA has just approved ANOTHER chemical abortion drug, when the evidence shows chemical abortion drugs are dangerous and even deadly for the mother. And of course 100% lethal to the child.”

“FDA had promised to do a top-to-bottom safety review of the chemical abortion drug, but instead they’ve just greenlighted new versions of it for distribution. I have lost confidence in the leadership at FDA,” he wrote.

Students for Life Action similarly condemned the drug’s approval, stating, in part, “More babies will die; More women will be harmed; and More Americans exposed to Abortion Water Pollution as a direct result of this unfathomable decision. This is a stain on the Trump Presidency and another sign that the deep state at the FDA must go.”

Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. announced in May that he directed the FDA to conduct a review of the abortion pill.

Trump DOE Strikes Down $630M Gavin Newsom Green Grant in Major Shift

The Gavin Newsom green energy agenda took a major blow this week after the Department of Energy canceled a $630.6 million Biden-era grant that the California governor had hailed as “critical” to the state. The grant, meant to support solar and wind projects under California’s CHARGE 2T program, was deemed unreliable by Trump administration officials.

Internal DOE documents revealed concerns that renewable projects “contribute limited [power] during periods of system strain.” The Biden administration announced the grant in August 2024, with Newsom claiming it would ensure “cleaner, cheaper, more reliable electricity.” Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi argued it would help build “America’s clean energy future,” while Sen. Alex Padilla said it would “deliver clean electricity while creating new green jobs.”

But Trump officials say the money amounted to wasteful spending. Energy Secretary Chris Wright defended the decision, stating, “President Trump promised to protect taxpayer dollars and expand America’s supply of affordable, reliable, and secure energy. Today’s cancellations deliver on that commitment.”

The cancellation is part of a broader rollback of $7.5 billion in Biden-era climate grants. Trump’s energy agenda emphasizes coal, natural gas, and nuclear power as more dependable than weather-dependent renewables.

Jason Isaac, CEO of the American Energy Institute, argued the cuts were overdue: “These projects were about political virtue signaling, not meeting real energy demand.”

Zohran Mamdani Aims to End NYC K,1,2 Gifted Programs, Backlash and Sparking Debate

The Zohran Mamdani gifted students plan could dramatically reshape New York City education if the socialist mayoral candidate takes office. Mamdani told the New York Times he would eliminate the gifted and talented program for kindergartners beginning next fall, phasing it out of first and second grade in the years ahead. The Times described the program as “a symbol of segregation” for admitting “few Black and Latino students into the classes.”

Mamdani’s proposal follows in the footsteps of former mayor Bill de Blasio, who also sought to end gifted education. Current mayor Eric Adams took the opposite approach in 2022, expanding the program after citywide pushback. Since then, scores in English and math have improved for students in grades three through eight, though more than 40 percent still failed this year.

Critics of Mamdani’s plan argue it will limit opportunity. Former governor Andrew Cuomo, running as an independent in the mayoral race, said, “Limiting opportunity to less than 5 percent of students is unfair. The real inequity is access — too many Black and Latino students aren’t identified or supported early enough.” Republican candidate Curtis Sliwa echoed concerns, warning about falling test scores and pledging to expand gifted programs if elected.

Mamdani’s broader education agenda includes universal childcare, city-run grocery stores, and shifting the tax burden toward “whiter neighborhoods.” Yet his personal background undercuts his message: he attended a $70,000-a-year private school before enrolling at Bronx Science, one of New York’s most elite public schools.

Florida Installs Charlie Kirk Memorial Highway

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) announced that the Charlie Kirk Memorial Highway has been approved.

“The road is a section of Wellness Way from US 27 to the Orange County line,” DeSantis said. “Lake County’s dedication of the highway represents the first county to memorialize Kirk in the aftermath of his assassination.”

The sign’s installation makes Lake County, Florida, the first local government in the nation to officially name a road after the Turning Point USA founder.

“This is amazing! I love how fast this happened, Turning Point USA spokesman Andrew Kolvet said of the memorial. Referring to calls for cities and counties across the nation to take similar action, Kolvet said, “I agree, every city and county in America should follow the lead of Lake County, FL and name a road or highway in honor of Charlie Kirk.”

Last week, the county approved the resolution making the memorial highway in a 5-0 vote.

Another Florida effort aims to rename a Miami-Dade road in honor of Charlie Kirk. The bill, filed by Florida House Speaker Juan Carlos Porras (R), would designate a “portion of S.R. 985/S.W. 107th Avenue between S.W. 24th Street and S.R. 90/S.W. 8th Street” near Florida International University in Miami-Dade County to be named “Charlie Kirk Memorial Avenue.” The bill further directs the Florida Department of Transportation to erect “suitable markers” for the memorial avenue.

Porras said he and Kirk “founded the first ⁦[Turning Point USA] chapter in FL back in 2015 where this road is going to be, now it will honor his legacy.”

Karoline Leavitt Warns Democrats of ‘Very Real’ Consequences as Government Shutdown Drags On

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt issued a sharp warning Thursday, telling Democrats that the consequences of the ongoing government shutdown are “very real” and will intensify if they refuse to pass a clean continuing resolution.

Speaking on America’s Newsroom, Leavitt argued that Democrats are holding the government hostage. “The Democrats should know that they put the White House and the president in this position, and if they don’t want further harm to their constituents back home, then they need to reopen the government,” she said.

Leavitt emphasized that President Donald Trump is prepared to pursue layoffs and permanent cuts to federal agencies that “do not best serve the American taxpayer.” She confirmed that Trump will meet with OMB Director Russell Vought to map out reductions while ensuring “critical funding,” including pay for military members, remains intact.

House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-LA, underscored the same point in an interview on FOX Business, calling the shutdown both damaging and an opportunity. “While a shutdown is very damaging for real American people who depend upon government services, it can provide an opportunity to downsize the scope and the scale of government,” Johnson said. “In a way, Chuck Schumer has now handed the keys to the kingdom to the executive branch under President Trump.”

Republicans argue that Democrats’ refusal to act has given Trump leverage to reshape the federal government in ways that would otherwise face opposition in Congress. For Democrats, the longer the shutdown lasts, the more political fallout they may face back home.

Minnesota Sex Offender Posed as Teen to Join High School Football Team

A shocking case out of White Bear Lake has parents furious after a Minnesota sex offender allegedly posed as a teenager to enroll in high school and even join the football team.

Police say 22-year-old Kelvin Micaiah Luebke, already convicted of crimes involving minors, used fraudulent documents to pass as “KJ Perry,” a 17-year-old running back on the White Bear Lake Area High School football team. District officials admitted he slipped through their enrollment process despite state requirements for birth certificates, proof of address, and immunization records.

Principal Russ Reetz said staff and families helped expose the deception: “The safety and well-being of all students is our top priority. I am grateful to the staff members, families and students who saw something and decided to report it.”

Public records show Luebke’s disturbing history, including convictions for sending explicit images to a 15-year-old and prior allegations of indecent exposure. He was arrested in late September after a traffic stop revealed multiple outstanding warrants.

The scandal has ignited outrage among parents and state leaders. Republican Rep. Elliott Engen, a White Bear Lake graduate, blasted district leadership. “Every story consistently points to one main issue: the adults entrusted to lead our schools are incapable of leading effectively,” he said, warning that parents are rapidly losing trust.

Engen demanded accountability, saying, “Parents want answers, and they deserve action. This cannot be allowed to happen again.”

Apple Finally Pulls ICE Tracking Apps After DOJ Pressure, Deadly Attack

Apple has taken down ICE tracking apps from its App Store after the Department of Justice, under Attorney General Pam Bondi, raised alarms over officer safety. The move comes as attacks on immigration enforcement agents continue to rise nationwide.

Bondi confirmed the DOJ’s intervention. “We reached out to Apple today demanding they remove the ICEBlock app from their App Store — and Apple did so,” she said. “ICEBlock is designed to put ICE agents at risk just for doing their jobs, and violence against law enforcement is an intolerable red line that cannot be crossed.”

The danger became tragically clear after last month’s deadly shooting at an ICE field office in Dallas. The suspect, Joshua Jahn, reportedly searched his phone for tracking apps, including ICEBlock, before opening fire from a rooftop. Authorities say Jahn intended to murder ICE personnel. One of the injured, a 32-year-old father of four, later died.

ICE officials are sounding the alarm on escalating threats. “The evidence is clear that this was intended as an assault on ICE personnel who come to work everyday to do their job,” said Marcos Charles, acting director for ICE removal operations. “Violent rhetoric has led to an over 1000% increase in assaults on ICE officers and it has to stop.”

Apple, under pressure, finally acted: “Based on information we’ve received from law enforcement about the safety risks associated with ICEBlock, we have removed it and similar apps from the App Store.”

The decision highlights a stark reality: shielding illegal immigrants while targeting those who enforce the law puts American lives in danger.
