Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) continues to arrest violent criminal illegal aliens across the United States even as the federal government remains shut down. Despite the funding impasse driven by Democrat demands, ICE officers have carried out multiple operations targeting foreign nationals convicted of serious crimes, including child sexual assault, manslaughter, and domestic violence.

Department of Homeland Security (DHS) spokeswoman Tricia McLaughlin praised the agents for continuing their work without pay during the shutdown. “Our brave ICE law enforcement will not be deterred by the Democrats’ government shutdown or by violence against them from removing the worst of the worst criminal illegal aliens from our communities,” McLaughlin said.

She noted that ICE officers face increasingly dangerous conditions, citing a more than 1000 percent increase in assaults against agents in recent months. “Under President Trump and Secretary Noem, criminals are not welcome in the United States,” McLaughlin added.

Among those arrested this week was Jose Alberto Hernandez-Alvarado, a Mexican national convicted of aggravated sexual assault of a child in Dallas County, Texas. In New York, ICE agents detained Kemar Hamilton of Jamaica, previously convicted of manslaughter and assault in the Bronx.

In Cherokee County, Iowa, Walid Soualmia, an Algerian national convicted of domestic abuse and intimidation with a dangerous weapon, was taken into custody. Additional arrests included Hugo Martinez-Jaimes of Mexico, convicted of cocaine trafficking in North Carolina, and William Sierra-Galeano of Colombia, convicted of attempted burglary in White Plains, New York.

The arrests underscore the Trump administration’s commitment to law and order, even amid a politically charged shutdown. ICE’s operations, carried out with limited resources, reflect the agency’s continued enforcement priorities—removing dangerous criminal aliens who pose threats to public safety.

Trump Targets Antifa in New Push Against Domestic Terrorism

President Donald Trump convened a roundtable discussion at the White House on Wednesday, October 8, to address the growing violence associated with the far-left Antifa movement. The meeting brought together senior administration officials, law enforcement leaders, and victims of political violence to discuss strategies for combating what the president has repeatedly described as a coordinated campaign of domestic extremism.

The event followed Trump’s September presidential proclamation officially designating Antifa as a terrorist organization. In the proclamation, the president described the group as a “militarist, anarchist enterprise” that “explicitly calls for the overthrow of the United States Government, law enforcement authorities, and our system of law.”

“It uses illegal means to organize and execute a campaign of violence and terrorism nationwide to accomplish these goals,” the president stated. “This organized effort designed to achieve policy objectives by coercion and intimidation is domestic terrorism.”

The roundtable highlighted the administration’s ongoing efforts to disrupt Antifa’s operations across the country. Officials discussed intelligence coordination, federal prosecutions, and partnerships with state and local agencies aimed at identifying extremist networks that have targeted police departments, conservative groups, and businesses during riots and demonstrations.

President Trump has long warned that Antifa poses a threat to public safety and national stability, accusing the movement of exploiting protests to incite chaos and undermine law enforcement. Supporters of the designation argue that the group’s structure, funding, and tactics mirror those of international terrorist organizations.

During the meeting, Trump reiterated his commitment to restoring law and order, praising local officers who have faced violence from Antifa-affiliated agitators. “No one should have to live in fear of political violence,” the president said. “We will continue to defend American communities from radicals who want to destroy them.”

Nancy Pelosi Calls Trump ‘Worst President in U.S. History’

Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) launched a fresh wave of attacks against President Donald Trump during a Wednesday appearance on CNN’s Inside Politics, accusing him of being both “the worst president for children in America’s history” and “the person who has lied to Congress more than anyone.”

Pelosi made the remarks during an interview with host Dana Bash, in which she was initially asked about California’s Proposition 50, a redistricting measure Democrats say is needed to counter Republican-led gerrymandering efforts. Before addressing the policy question, Pelosi pivoted to a harsh critique of President Trump.

“I want to declare, Donald Trump is the worst president for children in America’s history,” Pelosi said. “My ‘why’—why I got into politics—is for the children. Whether it’s the food they eat, the health care they have, the education they receive, the economic security of their families, or their safety from gun violence, he is the worst president for children in American history.”

Pelosi added that Trump’s record on environmental and social policies had left American families worse off, claiming that elections were crucial to reversing the “damage” she believes his administration caused.

Later in the same program, Pelosi took another swipe at Trump, this time over honesty and integrity in government. When asked about recent political controversies, Pelosi abruptly shifted the conversation to the former president’s credibility.

“There’s one point I want to make,” she said. “There is nobody who has lied more to Congress than Donald Trump, and that’s why I tore up his speech—because it was a manifesto of lies. I said that at the time.”

Pelosi was referring to the 2020 State of the Union address, during which she famously ripped up her copy of Trump’s prepared remarks moments after he finished speaking. Bash noted that Trump’s address was not delivered under oath, but Pelosi dismissed the distinction. “It doesn’t matter,” she insisted. “He’s the president of the United States speaking to the Congress of the United States.”

Pelosi’s renewed criticism underscores her continued role as one of Trump’s fiercest political adversaries. While President Trump focuses on implementing his second-term agenda, Pelosi has reemerged as a leading Democratic voice attempting to frame his policies as dangerous for American families and institutions.

Houthis Kidnap UN Workers Again in Escalating Yemen Crisis

The Iran-backed Houthi insurgency in Yemen has abducted another nine United Nations employees, raising the total number of U.N. personnel detained by the group over the past four years to 53. The Houthis, known for their hostility toward Western nations and Israel, have not explained the latest round of kidnappings or revealed where the employees are being held.

Most of those detained are Yemeni nationals, though several foreign U.N. staffers are also believed to be among those taken. The Houthis often claim their hostages are spies for the United States or its allies.

In August, the group kidnapped 19 U.N. employees from UNICEF and the World Food Program (WFP) offices, accusing them of conducting “espionage” for “the U.S. and its allies, including the Zionist entity.” The U.N. strongly rejected the accusation and demanded the workers’ immediate release.

The WFP condemned the detentions as “intolerable” and warned that continued interference would cripple aid delivery to vulnerable populations in Yemen. When its calls were ignored, the agency suspended all operations in Houthi-controlled territories, citing the safety of its staff. “We cannot continue our operations under conditions that threaten their freedom and well-being,” the WFP said.

After the latest abductions, U.N. spokesman Stephane Dujarric said the Houthis are obstructing critical humanitarian efforts. “The Houthis’ actions are impeding the U.N.’s ability to deliver vital assistance,” he stated, urging “the immediate and unconditional release” of all detained personnel.

The U.N. reiterated that aid workers must be “respected and protected in accordance with international law.” Dujarric added that the organization will “continue to work tirelessly through all available channels” to secure the release of its staff and the restoration of seized offices and equipment.

The Houthi movement, officially known as Ansar Allah (“Army of Allah”), seized Yemen’s capital, Sanaa, in 2014, forcing the internationally recognized government into exile. Backed by Iran, the Houthis have destabilized the Arabian Peninsula for nearly a decade, waging a brutal civil war and creating one of the world’s worst humanitarian crises.

Their official slogan—“Allah Is Great, Death to America, Death to Israel, a Curse Upon the Jews”—underscores their alignment with Tehran’s extremist ideology. The group has also launched missile and drone attacks on international shipping and Israeli targets in support of Hamas since the start of the Gaza war in 2023.

Petition Tries to Remove TPUSA Chapter as University’s Antifa-Linked Professor Moves to Europe

A petition has been launched to try to disband Rutgers University’s Turning Point USA chapter.

The petition, with more than 1,800 signatures, claims the Turning Point chapter has promoted “hate speech” and has incited “violence against our community.” It adds that a “professor felt compelled to leave the country, fearing for the safety of their family due to threats and harassment cultivated by this group.”

“We urge Rutgers University to immediately disband the Turning Point USA chapter from its campus,” the petition says. “By doing so, we will not only be upholding our commitment to educational excellence but also ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for every individual within our community.”

A separate petition aims to remove a professor from Rutgers University, stating he is a “well-known Antifa member.”

“Dr. Bray has regularly referred to mainstream conservative figures such as Bill O’Reilly as fascist while he calls for militant actions to be taken against these individuals,” the petition says. “This is the kind of rhetoric that resulted in Charlie Kirk being assassinated last month.”

Bray is the author of Antifa: The Anti-Fascist Handbook, which has been “heavily regarded in communist and anarchist groups across social media platforms,” the petition describes.

The professor has since announced that he and his family are moving to Europe.

Meanwhile, Oklahoma has moved to create TPUSA chapters in every high school across the state.

Then-Oklahoma State Superintendent of Public Instruction Ryan Walters said at the time, “We will be putting TPUSA on every high school campus in Oklahoma. Charlie Kirk inspired a generation to love America, to speak boldly, and to never shy away from debate. Our kids must get involved and active.”

“We will fight back against the liberal propaganda, pushed by the radical left, and the teachers’ unions,” he said. “Our fight starts now.”

Trump Orders FBI to Uncover Amelia Earhart Mystery: Report

Law enforcement sources reportedly told CNN that President Donald Trump has directed the FBI to search its offices for materials relating to Amelia Earhart.

“Per a priority request from the Executive Office of the President of the United States, please search any areas where papers or physical media records may be stored, to include both open or closed cases, for records responsive to Amelia Earhart,” read a message distributed to employees of the DC and New York field offices.

The message follows President Trump declaring on Truth Social on September 26 that he would order his administration to “declassify and release all Government Records related to Amelia Earhart, her final trip, and everything else about her.”

In July, Rep. Kimberlyn King-Hinds of the Northern Marina Islands (R) sent a letter to President Trump, urging his administration to release files related to Earhart’s disappearance.

King-Hinds wrote that a “number of elderly residents still recall [Earhart’s] presence in the Pacific, with some sharing credible, firsthand accounts of having seen her on the island of Saipan.”

“In pursuing clarity for my constituents, I have become aware that the U.S. government may still hold documents or records related to Earhart’s journey and final whereabouts that have not yet been made public,” the letter read. “Should such records exist, their release would contribute emaningfully to our understanding of one of America’s most revered aviators and could finally shed light on the final chapter of her remarkable life.”

President Trump previously declassified records related to President John F. Kennedy, Senator Robert F. Kennedy, and the Reverend Doctor Martin Luther King Jr.

Hindu Observance Becomes California State Holiday

Governor Gavin Newsom (D-CA) signed a bill making Diwali a state holiday. The religious festival is observed by Hindus, Sikhs, Jains, and Buddhists.

The bill, sponsored by assembly members Ash Kalra and Darshana Patel, both Democrats, will take effect on January 1, 2026. It amends Section 135 of the Code of Civil Procedure, the Education Code, and the Government Code.

Kalra said, as per the Associated Press, that “to have South Asian children be able to proudly celebrate and share it with others is a significant moment.”

Samir Kalra, managing director of the Hindu American Foundation, told the outlet that the “provisions that allow students to take the day off without repercussion and state employees to take paid leave are important leaps toward making Diwali truly accessible to those who celebrate.”

A May report from Pew Research found that 20% of the country’s Indian population lives in California. The number amounts to 960,000 out of the 4.9 million Indians in the United States. Other states with large Indian populations include Texas (570,000), New Jersey (440,000), New York (390,000), and Illinois (270,000), the report noted.

Several cities with large Indian populations include New York (710,000), Dallas (270,000), and San Francisco (260,000).

California’s move follows that of Pennsylvania and Connecticut.

The BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir is the largest Hindu temple in the state, located in Chino Hills.

In August 2024, Sugar Land, Texas, near Houston, unveiled a nearly 90-foot-tall statue of the Hindu god Lord Hanuman. “The Statue of Union is about creating a spiritual epicenter where hearts find solace, minds find peace, and souls find a path to transcendence,” the statue’s website says. “Let’s bring the vision of North America’s tallest Hanuman Statue to life, and together, let’s continue to create a world filled with love, peace, and devotion.”

Brandon Gill Bill Supports Swift Deportations

Rep. Brandon Gill (R-TX) introduced a bill to expedite deportation efforts across the United States.

The bill, exclusively obtained by The Blaze, authorizes the “expedited removal of aliens who are criminal gang members, members of foreign terrorist organizations, or have been convicted of certain specified crimes.”

“Our number one priority should be to protect American communities.” America should never be a safe haven for gang members, terrorists, or violent offenders,” Gill told the outlet.

He added that “Democrat leaders invited them to invade our county en masse,” asserting that “serious crimes require decisive consequences. My bill backs President Trump’s efforts to capture and deport violent illegal aliens quickly at the behest of Americans across the nation who want their families to thrive in a safe society.”

In a statement on social media, Gill declared that his bill “empowers law enforcement to remove [violent criminals] swiftly and decisively.”

Figures reported by the New York Times posit that President Donald Trump’s administration is on pace to deport over 400,000 illegal migrants in the first year of his second term.

Similarly, the Department of Homeland Security and Customs and Border Protection announced that Fiscal Year 2025 saw the lowest number of annual border apprehensions since 1970.

“We have had the most secure border in American history and our end of year numbers prove it. We have shattered multiple records this year and once again we have broken a new record with the lowest number of Southwest border apprehensions in 55 years,” said DHS Secretary Kristi Noem. “Under President Trump, we have empowered and supported our law enforcement to do their job and they have delivered.”

‘Assassination Simulators’ Found on Popular Gaming Platform

Kentucky Attorney General Russell Coleman filed a lawsuit against the gaming platform Roblox, alleging that it failed to protect minors from child predators.

“Defendants allow users to create accounts without providing any type of identity verification, and they do not require a child user to provide any type of attestation of parental knowledge or consent when establishing an account, no matter how young the user is per the birthdate provided to Defendants in the account creation process,” the filing argues, which “enables predators to create deceptive accounts—since no age or identity verification is required—and to do so as many times as they wish.”

Such a problem has created a “profoundly dangerous environment for children, leading to sexual exploitation and violence,” the lawsuit adds.

For example, “assassination simulators” began appearing on the platform following the death of Charlie Kirk. Children as young as five had access to “animated bloody depictions of the September 10 shooting.”

“Our children are not safe on Roblox. Predators and criminals aren’t just lurking in the platform’s shadows; they’ve been allowed to commit their crimes out in the open,” said Coleman. “For years, Roblox has ignored this crisis so it could continue turning a profit. Our responsibility is to protect Kentucky children from online exploitation by these predators and the companies like Roblox that knowingly facilitate it.”

Roblox is expected to roll out an age estimation system that requires users to scan selfies, allowing facial analysis to determine approximate age, by the end of 2025.
