Trump Cancels Meeting with Chinese President

President Donald Trump announced that he canceled a meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping after it was revealed that “very strange things” are happening in China.

Trump wrote on Truth Social that China is “becoming very hostile, and sending letters to Countries throughout the World, that they want to impose Export Controls on each and every element of production having to do with Rare Earths, and virtually anything else they can think of, even if it’s not manufactured in China.”

“Nobody has ever seen anything like this but, essentially, it would ‘clog’ the Markets, and make life difficult for virtually every Country in the World, especially for China. We have been contacted by other Countries who are extremely angry at this great Trade hostility, which came out of nowhere. Our relationship with China over the past six months has been a very good one, thereby making this move on Trade an even more surprising one,” he wrote. “I have always felt that they’ve been lying in wait, and now, as usual, I have been proven right! There is no way that China should be allowed to hold the World ‘captive,’ but that seems to have been their plan for quite some time, starting with the ‘Magnets’ and, other Elements that they have quietly amassed into somewhat of a Monopoly position, a rather sinister and hostile move, to say the least. But the U.S. has Monopoly positions also, much stronger and more far reaching than China’s. I have just not chosen to use them, there was never a reason for me to do so — UNTIL NOW!”

“I have not spoken to President Xi because there was no reason to do so. This was a real surprise, not only to me, but to all the Leaders of the Free World. I was to meet President Xi in two weeks, at APEC, in South Korea, but now there seems to be no reason to do so,” he added, noting that the Chinese letters were “inappropriate.”

“For every Element that they have been able to monopolize, we have two. I never thought it would come to this but perhaps, as with all things, the time has come. Ultimately, though potentially painful, it will be a very good thing, in the end, for the U.S.A. One of the Policies that we are calculating at this moment is a massive increase of Tariffs on Chinese products coming into the United States of America. There are many other countermeasures that are, likewise, under serious consideration. Thank you for your attention to this matter!” Trump concluded.

‘Promotion of Anarchy’: Pro-Palestinian Agitators Face Felony Charges After Boston Riot

Pro-Palestinian demonstrators in Boston are now facing felony “promotion of anarchy” charges after a violent downtown riot left several officers injured and the city scrambling to restore order.

According to the Boston Herald, Suffolk County prosecutors on Thursday upgraded charges for all 13 arrested suspects, citing a Massachusetts law that makes “promotion of anarchy” a felony offense. Officials say the escalation came after investigators reviewed promotional materials for the rally that included a quote from a Hamas spokesperson and an image of a burning police cruiser.

Police concluded that the group “intended to conduct their rally and march in such a way that it induced fear, caused destruction and disruption, caused injury and promoted anarchy.”

Between 200 and 300 people participated in Tuesday’s protest, which quickly spiraled into chaos. Officers reported being surrounded, assaulted, and having their body cameras, radios, and bicycles damaged. Four officers were injured during the melee.

“Further investigation revealed violent imagery and rhetoric used in promotional media,” the DA’s office said, calling the material an “immediate threat to public safety.”

Prosecutors allege some participants assaulted officers to help others evade arrest. Bail for several defendants, including Osama El Khatib and Roder Atwood, was set at $10,000 after allegations they punched and injured officers.

Suffolk County District Attorney Kevin Hayden made the administration’s position clear: “These defendants were not in court today because they were protesting. They were in court because they committed crimes.”

Hayden added, “We support everyone’s right to protest. But these individuals chose against protesting peacefully, and they are now facing the consequences of those choices.”

Palisades Arson Suspect’s Pro-Dem Online Climate Rants and Disturbing Images

Palisades arson suspect Jonathan Rinderknecht, 29, is accused of igniting the massive inferno that tore through Los Angeles earlier this year — while using social media to spread anti-Trump rhetoric and alarmist climate change posts.

Prosecutors say Rinderknecht hiked into the hills above Los Angeles on Jan. 1 and deliberately started a brushfire that later reignited, destroying over 7,000 homes and businesses, killing 12 people, and scorching nearly 24,000 acres. Damages are estimated at roughly $150 billion.

Before the blaze, Rinderknecht frequently posted about climate change, mocked conservatives, and promoted veganism. He shared a 2020 article titled “Climate Change Will Force a New American Migration,” which featured a photo of California wildfires — eerily similar to the catastrophe he’s now accused of creating.

Other posts during the 2020 Democratic presidential primary championed then-candidates Kamala Harris and Joe Biden. One shared article read, “Senator Kamala Harris Says Meat is Destroying the Planet,” while another warned, “Antarctica’s Ice Shelves Have Lost Millions of Metric Tons of Ice.” Rinderknecht also reposted a Joe Biden message claiming Trump’s pandemic response “destroyed” the economy.

In one disturbing image, he appeared “wild-eyed and mouth-open with his face painted like a skull and covered in blood.” Prosecutors say he even created AI-generated images of “cities burning with masses of people fleeing the destruction.”

The irony, officials note, is that Rinderknecht often blamed global warming for wildfires — before allegedly causing one of California’s deadliest and most destructive blazes himself.

Israel Confirms Ceasefire in Effect

The Israeli military confirmed on Friday that the ceasefire Gaza is in effect.

“Since 12:00, IDF troops began positioning themselves along the updated deployment lines in preparation for the ceasefire agreement and the return of hostages,” the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced on social media. “IDF troops in the Southern Command are deployed in the area and will continue to remove any immediate threat.”

U.S. Special Envoy Steve Witkoff similarly said in a statement on X, “CENTCOM has confirmed that the Israeli Defense Forces completed the first phase withdrawal to the yellow line at 12PM local time. The 72 hour period to release the hostages has begun.”

Discussing the agreement to the peace plans’ first phase on Wednesday evening, Trump wrote on Truth Social, “I am very proud to announce that Israel and Hamas have both signed off on the first Phase of our Peace Plan. This means that ALL of the Hostages will be released very soon, and Israel will withdraw their Troops to an agreed upon line as the first steps toward a Strong, Durable, and Everlasting Peace.”

“All Parties will be treated fairly! This is a GREAT Day for the Arab and Muslim World, Israel, all surrounding Nations, and the United States of America, and we thank the mediators from Qatar, Egypt, and Turkey, who worked with us to make this Historic and Unprecedented Event happen,” Trump wrote. “BLESSED ARE THE PEACEMAKERS!”

“With the approval of the first phase of the plan, all our hostages will be brought home. This is a diplomatic success and a national and moral victory for the State of Israel,” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Wednesday.

‘Biggest Ever’ Great White Shark Spotted off Canada, Ahead of Winter Migration

Great white shark researchers are tracking a massive predator that recently surfaced off the coast of Canada — and it’s being called the largest ever recorded in the Atlantic. The 14-foot, 1,653-pound shark, known as Contender, was tagged by OCEARCH, a marine research nonprofit, and has now “pinged” from the Gulf of St. Lawrence, near the Labrador Peninsula.

Chris Fischer, 56, OCEARCH’s founder and expedition leader, said, “Only a couple have made it that far north. An animal like that, spending the summer and fall up north — what are they doing? Well, a lot of what they’re doing is preparing for the winter.”

Fischer explained that Contender is “putting a lot of pressure on the seals, eating seals constantly, swimming in front of seal colonies, trying to put on some weight before he proceeds back down to Florida for the oncoming winter.”

But the shark’s appetite may actually benefit local ecosystems. “The byproduct of putting that pressure on the seals is really good, they’re guarding our fish stocks,” Fischer said. “If that white shark’s not there, those seals go out and they wipe out all the fish.”

Tagged off Florida earlier this year, Contender’s northward journey and survival in frigid waters showcase the species’ resilience. “White sharks have the capacity to warm themselves and be in cold water, but they have to have a lot of food,” Fischer said.

Researchers hope Contender’s movements will help identify the world’s first known great white shark mating site — a discovery decades in the making.

Venezuelan Opposition Leader Receives Nobel Peace Prize

Venezuelan opposition leader María Corina Machado won the Nobel Peace Prize on Friday for her “tireless work promoting democratic rights for the people of Venezuela and for her struggle to achieve a just and peaceful transition from dictatorship to democracy.”

The Norwegian Nobel Committee called Machado “one of the most extraordinary examples of civilian courage in Latin America in recent times,” describing her as a “key, unifying figure in a political opposition that was once deeply divided – an opposition that found common ground in the demand for free elections and representative government.”

According to the committee, the description is “precisely what lies at the heart of democracy: our shared willingness to defend the principles of popular rule, even though we disagree.”

Machado said in a written statement that the award is a “unique impetus that injects energy and confidence into Venezuelans, both inside and outside the country, to complete our task.”

In a separate statement, Machado declared, “This recognition of the struggle of all Venezuelans is a boost to conclude our task: to conquer Freedom.”

“We are on the threshold of victory and today, more than ever, we count on President Trump, the people of the United States, the peoples of Latin America, and the democratic nations of the world as our principal allies to achieve Freedom and democracy,” she said. “I dedicate this prize to the suffering people of Venezuela and to President Trump for his decisive support of our cause!”

President Donald Trump received Nobel Peace Prize nominations from Israeli leadership, hostage families, congressmen, and Cambodian leadership.

American Military Oversight Begins as U.S. Leads Gaza Peacekeeping Effort Without Troops on the Ground

American military oversight will shape the early stages of Gaza’s new peacekeeping mission, with the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) coordinating operations but keeping American troops out of the conflict zone.

CENTCOM Commander Navy Adm. Brad Cooper will “initially have 200 people on the ground,” according to U.S. officials, though “no US troops are intended to go into Gaza.” Instead, the American contingent will direct and coordinate efforts among forces from Egypt, Qatar, and Turkey as part of the International Stabilization Force (ISF).

“[Cooper’s] role will be to oversee, observe, make sure there are no violations or incursions — everybody is worried about the other side,” one U.S. official said. “So much of this is going to be oversight.”

The mission’s early focus will be on establishing a “command room” to manage the recently agreed cease-fire between Israel and Hamas. The deal is expected to be followed by the release of roughly 20 Israeli hostages. Officials said the U.S. will “keep the Israelis informed,” while working closely with regional partners to “come up with better security plans.”

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt clarified the limited U.S. role, saying: “Up to 200 U.S. personnel, who are already stationed at CENTCOM, will be tasked with monitoring the peace agreement in Israel.”

The mission stems from President Trump’s 20-point peace plan, which calls for a multinational force to help stabilize Gaza as Hamas relinquishes control — a plan now moving from paper to practice under American coordination.

Letitia James Indicted: Top NY Democrat Faces 60 Years in Federal Fraud Case

New York Attorney General Letitia James, one of the most prominent Democratic officials in the nation, was indicted Thursday by a federal grand jury in Virginia on charges of bank fraud and making false claims to a financial institution, according to the Department of Justice.

Prosecutors allege James “represented and affirmed in uniform residential loan applications and related documents that the Peronne Property would be used as a secondary residence, when in truth and fact, as [James] then knew, the property was intended and used as an investment property.” The scheme allegedly saved her “approximately $18,933 over the life of the loan.”

U.S. Attorney Lindsey Halligan said in a statement, “No one is above the law. The charges as alleged in this case represent intentional, criminal acts and tremendous breaches of the public’s trust.”

If convicted on both counts, James faces up to 60 years in prison and a $2 million fine.

James pushed back strongly, claiming political persecution. “This is nothing more than a continuation of the president’s desperate weaponization of our justice system,” she said. “These charges are baseless, and the president’s own public statements make clear that his only goal is political retribution at any cost.”

The indictment follows her high-profile civil case against the Trump Organization, which was recently overturned on appeal. The case now raises questions about accountability and double standards in the justice system — even for those who once claimed to enforce it.

Petro Blasts U.S. Over Drug-Vessel Strike

Colombian President Gustavo Petro asserted that a U.S. naval strike on a narcotics ship was aimed at “a Colombian vessel with Colombian citizens on board.” The White House forcefully rejected his accusation, demanding a retraction and calling the claim “baseless and reprehensible.”

U.S. forces struck a boat near Venezuela transporting a massive drug shipment bound for U.S. shores, killing four men. The Trump administration maintains the vessel was a trafficking ship loaded with deadly cargo, not a migrant transport. Petro, for his part, accused the U.S. of waging war on Latin America and singled out a geostrategic agenda tied to oil interests.

In social media remarks, Petro claimed “indications” existed that the crashed vessel was Colombian-flagged and carried Colombian nationals. He called on victims’ families to come forward and asserted the strike was part of a “war for oil” disguised as an anti-drug mission.

Washington dismissed his assertion and called for a public retraction before diplomatic dialogue could resume. The clash marks the latest escalation between the U.S. and Colombia’s first leftist president, whose approach to drug policy has diverged sharply from predecessors.

Petro has accused the U.S. of murder, previously alleging that the American crackdown on cocaine trafficking unlawfully targets vulnerable groups. At the recent U.N. General Assembly, he repeated that the U.S. is “murdering” citizens under the guise of drug enforcement.

Meanwhile, under Petro’s term, coca cultivation and cocaine output surged. In response, the Trump administration officially decertified Colombia for failing its international commitments against drug production. The move inflamed tensions between the two nations.

Former Petro officials have now accused their ex-leader of personal drug addiction, prompting Congress to open an investigation and demand disclosures of irregular conduct.

This confrontation over the strike illustrates the fractured alliance between the U.S. and Colombia under Petro’s leadership—and suggests sharp disagreements over sovereignty, drug enforcement, and geopolitical influence could deepen in the coming months.

China, North Korea, Russia Unite in Defiant Display

Chinese Premier Li Qiang arrived in North Korea Thursday to join dictator Kim Jong-un for a parade marking the 80th anniversary of the country’s communist “Workers’ Party of Korea.” The visit underscores China’s attempt to maintain its strategic position in Pyongyang amid North Korea’s deepening alliance with Russia.

Li, the second-highest ranking member of the Chinese Communist Party, is the most senior Chinese official to attend such an event in North Korea in over a decade. He joins a delegation of authoritarian allies, including envoys from Russia, Vietnam, Laos, Venezuela, Nicaragua, and Iran. The Kremlin’s representative is Dmitry Medvedev, a close confidant of Vladimir Putin, highlighting Russia’s elevated role as North Korea’s top geopolitical partner.

Li described his visit as a “goodwill” mission, calling China and North Korea “socialist neighbors connected by mountains and rivers” and praising their “profound traditional friendship.” His rhetoric contrasted with growing evidence of China’s diminished influence in Pyongyang since the COVID-19 pandemic and Russia’s rising prominence.

Kim Jong-un has recently shifted strategic loyalty toward Moscow. Russia and North Korea signed a mutual defense pact in June 2024, during Putin’s first visit to the country in 20 years. Since then, Pyongyang has offered direct military support to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, including troops deployed to Kursk, as confirmed in a joint statement from Putin’s ruling party, United Russia, and the Workers’ Party of Korea.

The parade, scheduled for Friday, serves as a visual reaffirmation of North Korea’s alignment with global adversaries of the West. According to analysts, placing Kim Jong-un between China’s Li and Russia’s Medvedev is intended to signal his leadership position among anti-Western powers in Asia.

North Korea’s propaganda arm, KCNA, has downplayed Li’s arrival but heavily promoted Russian cooperation and support. In contrast to China’s ceremonial presence, Moscow’s role is being amplified through defense and economic agreements. Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov received Kim’s “unconditional” support during a visit in July, and Putin reportedly consulted Kim ahead of his meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump.

Kim also used the anniversary to deliver a speech praising the Workers’ Party’s communist legacy and calling on North Koreans to continue building “socialism and communism.” As is customary, KCNA claimed the audience erupted in cheers at the conclusion of his address.

The attendance of socialist and authoritarian regimes at the event further signals Kim’s strategy to defy Western pressure and assert legitimacy on the world stage. With Chinese influence waning, and Russia expanding its military and diplomatic footprint, the North Korean regime continues to realign itself with a bloc determined to challenge U.S. interests globally.
