A former University of Massachusetts Amherst student has been charged with multiple felonies after allegedly recording women without their knowledge in campus dormitory showers. The suspect, 23-year-old Josiah Crosier of Colrain, Massachusetts, is accused of carrying out the acts across three separate dorm buildings in a span of just two days.

Crosier, who was studying business and entrepreneurial economics, was expected to graduate in 2026 but withdrew from the university prior to his arrest. The alleged incidents took place in September 2024. Crosier was arrested in December and is no longer affiliated with the university.

Court filings show that at least seven incidents of secret recording were reported. The accusations state that Crosier covertly entered female dormitory shower areas and used a concealed device to film students. Details about how the recordings were discovered or whether they were distributed have not been publicly released.

UMass Amherst confirmed Crosier is no longer enrolled but refused to comment on whether complaints had been filed against him prior to his arrest. The university also did not specify what actions, if any, it took in response to the allegations or whether Crosier had been banned from campus. University officials cited privacy and legal concerns in declining to provide additional details.

Crosier had previously earned nearly $400,000 over a summer through the “Student Painters” program, affiliated with Young Entrepreneurs Across America. The program has not issued a statement regarding his status or future involvement.

The case raises serious concerns about campus safety, female student privacy, and the adequacy of university disciplinary and security policies. Conservative advocates have long warned that colleges must take stronger steps to protect students, particularly young women, from predatory behavior within campus housing. The university’s silence in the face of a serious criminal allegation will likely fuel further calls for transparency and reform.

Miguel Cardona Joins Yale School of Management Amid Fallout Over Education Decline

Former U.S. Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona has joined the Yale School of Management faculty, despite ongoing criticism over his handling of national education policy during the Biden administration. Cardona will co-teach a course on education policy, even as U.S. student performance has reached historic lows under his watch.

Cardona will help lead an elective course titled “Education Policy” that focuses on public accountability, college access, and the return on educational investment. His appointment is part of Yale’s Broad Center programs, which are aimed at preparing education leaders to engage with underserved communities. According to Yale, Cardona’s experience from local superintendent to cabinet official offers students “a practitioner’s perspective” on policy.

The move has reignited scrutiny over Cardona’s track record. During his tenure, student achievement declined dramatically. The 2022 National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) scores showed the steepest drop in U.S. math performance in over three decades. Reading scores also fell, with sharp declines among low-income and minority students—those Cardona claimed to prioritize.

Critics argue that Cardona prioritized ideological agendas over academics. His Department of Education promoted “equity-based” reforms while failing to address core learning losses caused by prolonged school closures. Conservative education leaders have pointed to Cardona’s support for keeping schools closed longer than necessary and pushing divisive curricula over reading and math basics.

Cardona’s new role at Yale is viewed by some as a reward for political loyalty rather than policy success. His leadership style reflected the broader progressive education approach championed by the Biden administration, one that many parents and local officials have blamed for worsening learning outcomes and undermining parental rights.

90% of College Students Now Using AI—Academic Integrity on the Line

A new report reveals that 90% of American college students are using artificial intelligence tools for academic work. This surge, spanning all ages and institutions, is triggering growing concern over the future of higher education, academic honesty, and the erosion of personal responsibility in learning.

The findings come from the 2025 AI in Education Trends Report by Copyleaks, based on responses from more than 1,100 students enrolled in two-year colleges, four-year universities, and graduate programs. Nearly all respondents admitted to using AI for tasks like brainstorming, generating outlines, clarifying difficult topics, and even writing assignments.

Usage is not slowing. Three out of four students reported that their use of AI increased over the past year. These results were mirrored by international data, where 86% of students across 16 countries reported using AI for schoolwork. At Harvard University, nearly 9 in 10 students admitted to using generative AI on coursework.

Contrary to expectations, younger students are not the primary users. The report shows 44% of student AI users are between ages 45 and 60. Students ages 30 to 44 made up 27%, while only 29% of users fell between 18 and 29 years old. The data suggest that older, nontraditional students are adopting AI at the highest rates, likely seeking efficiency in balancing school with work and family responsibilities.

The growing dependence on AI raises serious academic and moral issues. As AI tools generate more of students’ written output, universities face pressure to redefine honor codes, enforce academic standards, and teach proper AI usage. Without clear boundaries, students may increasingly outsource thinking and learning to machines.

AI’s rapid spread within academia has outpaced institutional policy. Some schools encourage AI literacy, while others are banning or limiting use, often without consistent enforcement. In the absence of clear leadership, students are setting their own standards—many of which blur ethical lines.

Professor Jonathan Turley Slams ‘Antifa Deniers’ as Intellectual Evasion

Law professor Jonathan Turley sharply criticized prominent figures who deny the existence of Antifa, calling their stance a modern echo of Hoover-era suppression. He argues that refusing to acknowledge Antifa’s actions amounts to political blindness and threatens to distort public understanding.

Turley’s critique appears in a column in The Hill, which was referenced by Legal Insurrection. He draws a parallel between current denials and J. Edgar Hoover’s decades‑long refusal to accept organized crime, despite abundant evidence. Turley contends that some politicians and pundits intentionally dismiss Antifa’s existence to avoid political discomfort or accountability.

He singles out Rep. Dan Goldman and former House Judiciary Chair Jerrold Nadler among those who have publicly denied or minimized Antifa’s presence. Turley also notes that cultural voices such as late-night hosts have mocked concerns about Antifa, calling it mythical or fictional.

Turley makes clear he is not endorsing a blanket classification of Antifa as a terrorist organization—he cautions that such designations raise complex free speech issues. But he insists that the movement is a real and observable phenomenon, with documented violence, which demands honest debate and legal accountability.

Catholic University of America Removes Israeli Flags from Oct. 7 Memorial

Catholic University of America (CUA) removed Israeli flags from a student-led memorial commemorating victims of the October 7 Hamas attacks, citing a violation of university flag policy. Student organizers say they received prior approval and accuse the administration of political censorship targeting support for Israel.

The display, organized by CUA Students Supporting Israel, featured Israeli flags placed on campus grounds to honor those murdered during Hamas’s terrorist assault on Israeli civilians. The memorial was created ahead of the October 7 anniversary and was designed to be a peaceful tribute to the victims.

According to student leader Felipe Avila, the university had approved the memorial three months prior. However, CUA administrators later informed the group that their request had been granted “in error” and proceeded to remove the flags. The removed items were returned in a clear plastic trash bag, a gesture students say demonstrated a lack of respect for the memorial and those it represented.

CUA spokesperson Karna Lozoya stated the display violated the university’s flag policy, which restricts the display of foreign flags unless specifically authorized. She claimed the student approval was mistakenly granted, and that the university reserves the right to enforce campus policy consistently. However, Avila argued that such policies are being selectively applied to stifle support for Israel.

CUA Students Supporting Israel condemned the removal as a direct assault on free speech and religious solidarity. They pointed to other instances where foreign flags had been permitted on campus without consequence. The group demanded clarity and consistency in policy enforcement, along with a public apology.

DHS: Cartels Offering Bounties on ICE Agents, Alleged Antifa & Latin Kings Links

Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem revealed that Mexican drug cartels are placing bounties on the heads of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents, with support from domestic groups including Antifa and the Latin Kings. According to Noem, DHS has obtained credible intelligence showing that these cartels are offering structured cash payments to those who expose, harm, or kill federal immigration officers.

The reported bounty structure begins at $2,000 for doxxing ICE agents and their families. Payments increase to between $5,000 and $10,000 for kidnapping or assault, and reach up to $50,000 for assassinating high-ranking officials within the Department of Homeland Security. Noem described these actions as part of an organized terror campaign against the federal officers enforcing U.S. immigration law.

“These criminal networks are not just resisting the rule of law—they are waging an organized campaign of terror against the brave men and women who protect our borders and communities,” Noem said in a public statement. She emphasized that agents are being targeted with ambushes, drone surveillance, and direct death threats for simply doing their jobs.

DHS has identified the Latin Kings gang, based in Chicago, as an active participant in the scheme. The gang has reportedly deployed armed “spotters” to rooftops to monitor ICE movements using radios and firearms. Additionally, far-left Antifa groups in cities like Chicago and Portland are said to be providing logistical support. That support includes pre-staging protest equipment, unmasking ICE agents, and obstructing enforcement operations involving cartel-linked illegal aliens.

The revelation comes alongside statements from Border Czar Tom Homan, who confirmed that the Department of Justice is investigating the financial networks behind these organized anti-ICE efforts. Homan stated that DOJ investigators are actively pursuing the individuals and groups funding this activity and pledged they would be held accountable under federal law.

The Department of Homeland Security is urging federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies to increase protective measures for personnel and to remain vigilant. Officers and their families have been advised to take extra security precautions amid the heightened threats.

Hamas Executes Palestinians in Public Square, Crowd Cheers Killings

The BBC confirmed Tuesday that a graphic video circulating online shows Hamas terrorists executing eight bound Palestinian captives in a public square in Gaza. The executions were carried out in front of a crowd that cheered with cries of “Allahu Akbar.” BBC analysts verified the video’s authenticity by confirming the location through street layouts. Reuters also verified the footage through a Hamas source.

Hamas acknowledged the killings and claimed the victims were “criminals and collaborators with Israel.” The terrorist group has executed numerous Palestinians during the war in Gaza, routinely accusing its victims of treason without trial. Israeli media outlet Ynet News identified one of the victims as Ahmad Zidan al-Tarabin, who was accused of recruiting agents for the Abu Shabab militia, also known as the Popular Army. That group, led by Yasser Abu Shabab, is among the most powerful non-Hamas factions in Gaza.

Sources indicate that Hamas has been engaged in violent power struggles with rival gangs and clans, particularly as it attempts to reassert full control over Gaza following the Israeli military campaign. The BBC suggested the executed men may have been prisoners taken during recent infighting between Hamas and rival armed groups.

Over the weekend, at least 27 people were killed in fierce gun battles between Hamas fighters and members of the Dughmush clan near a former Jordanian hospital in Gaza City. Hamas reportedly deployed over 300 fighters into the neighborhood, which was a Dughmush stronghold. Local witnesses say terrified civilians fled as Hamas launched a full-scale assault using ambulances to position its gunmen.

Gaza medical sources said 19 of the dead belonged to the Dughmush family. Dughmush sources accused Hamas of attacking the building where family members had taken shelter after their homes were destroyed in Israeli strikes. Hamas claimed it was responding to an “armed assault by a militia.”

Eyewitnesses described scenes of chaos as Hamas fighters dragged people away and burned homes. “They’re burning our houses. What did we do wrong?” cried the daughter of a Dughmush fighter.

I24 News reported that over 30 Palestinians have been executed by Hamas for “treason and collaboration” since the group released Israeli hostages on Monday morning. Many of the victims reportedly belonged to rival factions. Reuters also reported increasing numbers of armed Hamas fighters patrolling aid delivery routes and that dozens have been killed in recent intra-Palestinian clashes.

U.S. Strikes Vessel Linked to Narco-Terrorists—Six Killed

President Donald Trump confirmed Tuesday that U.S. forces destroyed a narco-terrorist vessel in international waters off the coast of Venezuela. The military strike, the fourth of its kind since August, killed six suspected traffickers tied to a designated terrorist organization. No American personnel were injured in the operation.

According to President Trump, the U.S. Department of War acted under standing orders from the commander-in-chief, targeting a vessel engaged in narcotics trafficking along a known drug cartel route in the U.S. Southern Command (USSOUTHCOM) area of responsibility. Trump stated, “Intelligence confirmed the vessel was trafficking narcotics, was associated with illicit narcoterrorist networks, and was transiting along a known DTO route.”

Secretary of War Pete Hegseth authorized the lethal strike, consistent with Trump’s August directive to use military force against specified Latin American drug cartels. That order followed the U.S. State Department’s designation of Venezuela’s Cartel de los Soles as a Foreign Terrorist Organization. The criminal enterprise is reportedly linked to Venezuelan leader Nicolás Maduro and senior military officials.

The vessel, believed to be affiliated with the Venezuelan-based Tren de Aragua group, was reportedly loaded with narcotics. Secretary Hegseth reiterated that the administration remains committed to ending the flow of drugs from South America to the U.S. “These strikes will continue until the attacks on the American people are over,” he said.

This latest strike represents a sharp continuation of the Trump administration’s maritime counter-narcotics campaign. In recent months, three other strikes have been confirmed, each targeting cartel-affiliated boats in the region. The White House has emphasized that all attacks occurred in international waters and posed no risk to U.S. troops.

However, the escalation has drawn criticism from both domestic lawmakers and foreign governments. Members of Congress have raised constitutional concerns over the president’s unilateral use of military force without additional congressional authorization. Meanwhile, Venezuela’s government condemned the attacks as violations of international law, accusing the U.S. of using anti-drug efforts to disguise attempts at regime change.

Despite growing international tension, President Trump has doubled down on his commitment to dismantling drug cartels through military pressure. Earlier this year, he declared that Nicolás Maduro is not recognized as Venezuela’s president, but instead as the head of a criminal narco-terrorist regime.

With four successful operations now confirmed, the administration appears determined to carry out its campaign against narco-terrorism in the Western Hemisphere using force when necessary.

Janet Mills Launches Senate Candidacy to Challenge Collins

Maine Governor Janet Mills (D) officially announced Tuesday her candidacy for U.S. Senate, aiming to challenge Republican incumbent Susan Collins in the next midterm. At 77, Mills said her experience has equipped her to take on the race. “My life’s work has prepared me for this fight,” she declared in her campaign launch video.

Mills is viewed as the Democrats’ strongest contender to flip the seat and help regain Senate control. She joins a crowded field of Democratic challengers, including Graham Platner, Jordan Wood, and Dan Kleban. As Maine’s first female governor and prior attorney general, Mills secured re-election in 2022 but is barred by term limits from running again for governor.

Collins, seeking her sixth Senate term, remains a powerful figure in Maine politics despite facing criticism from both parties. Mills wasted no time framing the contest: she attacked Collins as complicit in President Trump’s agenda. “Donald Trump is ripping away health care … and Susan Collins is helping him,” she said.

Mills has clashed with Trump before, refusing to enforce his directive on transgender athletes competing in women’s sports. In recent governor meetings, she challenged him directly: “See you in court,” she told the president.

The Maine GOP pushed back hard, calling Mills a “hand‑picked” Schumer nominee who is too liberal for the state’s traditionally moderate electorate. GOP Chairman Jim Deyermond accused her of siding with the transgender lobby at the expense of Maine families.

Still, Democrats are betting Mills’ broad statewide appeal and established record will give her a strong shot in what’s already shaping up as a high-stakes contest.

‘Best Birthday Gift’: Trump Honors Charlie Kirk with Medal of Freedom

On October 14, 2025, President Trump posthumously awarded conservative activist Charlie Kirk the Presidential Medal of Freedom on what would have been his 32nd birthday. The honor was accepted by Kirk’s widow, Erika, during an emotionally charged ceremony in the Rose Garden.

In his Rose Garden address, President Trump hailed Charlie Kirk as a “fearless warrior for liberty” and “a patriot of the deepest conviction.”

Trump stated, “Five weeks ago, our nation was robbed of this extraordinary champion… He was a champion in every way. I got to know him so well. He was assassinated in the prime of his life for boldly speaking the truth, for living his faith, and relentlessly fighting for a better and stronger America. He loved this country.”

Erika Kirk received the medal on behalf of her late husband. She thanked President Trump for prioritizing the ceremony, considering he had not landed back in D.C. until 3 a.m. the night before, after traveling to the Middle East as part of his campaign to restore peace in the region.

Speaking on her husband’s legacy, Erika said, “It’s such an honor, and the recognition of a life lived fighting for freedom.” She added that Charlie wholeheartedly believed, “When we defend liberty, we defend the soul of our nation.”

Erika made sure one point was made crystal clear to the students still involved with Turning Point USA: “Everything Charlie has built, you guys are the legacy of that.”

She spoke of Charlie’s mission to defend freedom as more than mere words, but a “testimony.” Erika noted that Charlie prayed for his enemies, though Trump had earlier quipped about whether or not Charlie truly did pray for them.

Erika revealed a tear-jerking message from their young daughter. When asked what she would want to tell her dad for his birthday, she replied: “Happy birthday, Daddy. I want to give you a stuffed animal. I want you to eat a cupcake with ice cream, and I want you to go have a birthday surprise. I love you.”

Erika told President Trump that in all her years trying to find the perfect gift for Charlie, who was not a fan of material items, the Presidential Medal of Freedom is “the best birthday gift he could ever have.”
