Only 4 Illegal Immigrants Remain on Martha’s Vineyard

Only 4 of the 49 illegal immigrants flown to Martha’s Vineyard by Governor Ron DeSantis (R-FL) remain on the island.

Shortly after the illegal immigrants’ arrival, Martha’s Vineyard officials said the situation was a “humanitarian crisis,” prompting Massachusetts Gov. Charlie Baker (R) to bus the illegal immigrants to Joint Base Cape Cod.

At the time, a local official said the illegal immigrants “have to move from here to somewhere else.”

The New York Times has since reported that only 4 of the illegal immigrants remain, integrating within the community by working as landscapers, painters, and other jobs.

While Martha’s Vineyard has stated it has no room for illegal immigrants, Breitbart News found the island could house millions if necessary.

Numerous estates remain empty for portions of the year and could provide a place for illegal immigrants to stay.

Reporting from Breitbart:

Last month, Breitbart News reported that American taxpayers are actually footing the bill for the minor inconvenience that residents on Martha’s Vineyard experienced when the illegal aliens arrived. The non-governmental organization (NGO) that provided limited resources to the arrivals is being reimbursed by the federal government.
