One in Six Germans Report COVID Vaccine Side Effects

A survey from the Forsa Institute found that one in six Germans reported side effects from their COVID-19 vaccine.

The survey, reported in the German newspaper Neue Osnabrücker Zeitung (NOZ) and the online magazine Multipolar, sought to determine if the vaccines were “well tolerated.”

While many said they received the vaccines well, a significant portion of survey respondents (17%) reported that they did not tolerate the vaccines well.

Nearly three-quarters (73%) of survey respondents said they had no side effects, while 10% said they never received the vaccine.

The survey also found that 40% of Germans also desire a government investigation into the country’s COVID-19 policies and vaccine distribution.

Last year, Germany’s Federal Health Minister Karl Lauterbach admitted that the vaccine’s adverse side effects were “disturbing.”

“That’s right: 1 in 10,000. That is the frequency of serious side effects,” Lauterbach said on German broadcaster ZDF’s “Today Journal,” adding, “These fates are absolutely disturbing. To be honest, I feel very sorry for the people. Some of the vaccine damage is likely permanent. However, the drugs for treating ‘post-vac’ are not yet available and the health insurance companies’ claims for coverage are very limited. So I understand the people who complain.”

Lauterbach’s admission was significant as he claimed in 2021 that the COVID-19 vaccines were “free of side effects.”

German politician Christine Anderson has also come out against the COVID-19 vaccines and told reporter Anita Krishna that the shots were the “biggest medical scandal ever.”
