North Dakota Prevents China From Building on Land

Grand Forks City Council in North Dakota voted unanimously to prevent the Fufeng Group from building a corn mill on land it purchased near an air base. The Grand Forks Air Base is said to be “the backbone of all US military communications across the globe,” thus causing officials to raise national security concerns when it was discovered that a Chinese agricultural plant wanted to build nearby the base.

From The Post Millennial:

Sens. Hoeven and Cramer also condemned the proposal, saying in a statement that, "we believe the city should discontinue the Fufeng project and instead we should work together to find an American company to develop the agriculture project."
