Nikki Haley Reportedly Preparing to Campaign With Donald Trump

Former South Carolina governor and Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley is reportedly in talks with Donald Trump’s campaign to join him at an upcoming event, according to The Bulwark.

Their relationship has seen ups and downs, beginning with Trump nominating Haley as U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations in 2016. However, tensions flared during this year’s presidential primary, with Trump referring to Haley as a “bird brain.”

Despite this, the two have reconciled. Haley ended her presidential campaign in March and officially endorsed Trump in July during the Republican National Convention.

Sources familiar with the situation say the two camps are discussing a town hall event toward the end of October, although details are still being finalized.

A joint appearance between Trump and Haley could help Trump address one of his key weaknesses—his appeal to suburban women voters. Haley’s presence could potentially attract female voters who are hesitant to fully back Trump. This would be their first public appearance together since July.
