New Poll Shows Gun Ownership Remains Higher Among Republican Women than Democrat Men

Gun ownership among Republican women has surged significantly, with more than three in ten now reporting they own firearms, according to a recent Gallup analysis.

This marks a substantial increase from 19% in the 2007-2012 period to 33% today, reflecting a growing embrace of Second Amendment rights among conservative women.

Interestingly, more Republican women now own guns than Democrat men, of whom only 29% report firearm ownership. Among Independent men, gun ownership has declined, dropping five points to 39%.

Republican men remain the most prominent gun-owning demographic, with 60% reporting firearm ownership. Overall, Gallup found that 43% of men and 20% of women across political affiliations are likely to own guns.

This data underscores the deepening connection between firearm ownership and Republican values, as more Americans look to protect their families, exercise their rights, and preserve their personal freedoms.
