A recent survey of voters conducted by the Trafalgar Group reveals former President Donald Trump leading Vice President Kamala Harris in four crucial swing states.
According to the poll, released on Friday, Trump holds a 2-point lead over Harris in Pennsylvania, with 46% to her 44%. In Arizona, he leads by 1 point at 48% to 47%. In Nevada, Trump is ahead by 3 points at 48% to 45%, and in North Carolina, he has a 4-point advantage, polling at 49% to Harris’ 45%.
These findings come as voters begin to adapt to Harris stepping up to lead the Democratic ticket, following President Joe Biden’s announcement in July that he would not seek reelection.
While Trump has shown consistent strength in North Carolina and Nevada throughout this election cycle, the races in Pennsylvania and Arizona have seen more volatility.
With the electoral landscape shifting daily, Pennsylvania could prove to be the decisive battleground. Trump previously won the state in 2016, while Biden claimed it in 2020.
Notably, CNN’s Harry Enten pointed out last week that even if Harris were to lose Arizona, Nevada, and Georgia, she could still secure the necessary 270 electoral votes by winning Pennsylvania.
The Trafalgar Group’s poll was conducted from August 6-8 among 1,000 likely voters in Arizona, Nevada, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania. The poll did not provide a margin of error.
