Nearly Two Dozen Soros-Backed Prosecutors Left Office Since 2022

Twenty-one George Soros-backed prosecutors have left their positions since 2022.

According to the National News Desk, citing information from the Law Enforcement Legal Defense Fund (LELDF), prosecutors considered “tough” have replaced those backed by Soros.

Replaced prosecutors include those from Cook County, Illinois; Alameda County, California; Los Angeles, California; Baltimore, Maryland; and others.

The LELDF shared the information on X, noting that thirteen Soros-linked prosecutors have been elected since 2022.

As of January 2024, the LELDF estimated that Soros spent at least $50 million on “social justice” prosecutors.

Numerous left-wing prosecutors sent a letter to President Joe Biden in 2021, calling for the creation of a “Presidential Task Force on 21st Century Prosecution.”

“The evidence is clear: our nation’s decades of ‘tough on crime’ practices have not created safety and have been an anathema to justice,” the letter said. “The United States detains 2.3 million people in prisons, jails, and confinement facilities, more than any other democratic nation. Racial, ethnic, and class disparities pervade the criminal legal system: American justice is far from equal. Our communities in turn bear an enormous human and fiscal toll.”

The letter added that families have been plagued by “over-policing” and “over-incarceration.”

American Faith reported that many of the 25 district attorneys linked to George Soros were defeated in recent elections. Of the 25 Soros-supported district attorneys on the ballot, 12 were either defeated or recalled.

Notably, Republican Nathan Hochman replaced Los Angeles District Attorney George GascĂłn.

“The voters of Los Angeles County have spoken and have said enough is enough of D.A. GascĂłn’s pro-criminal extreme policies; they look forward to a safer future,” Hochman said in a statement. “As D.A., I look forward to representing all of the people, whether they voted for me or not, since their safety will be my responsibility.”
