Nancy Pelosi Tells Audience When to Clap During ‘Inflation Reduction Act’ Celebration

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi channeled her inner Jeb Bush yesterday, begging her audience for applause and signs of approval as Democrats held a self-congratulatory celebration to tout the passing of their so-called “Inflation Reduction Act.”

Democrat Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi took to the lectern outside of the White House, where the Biden Administration hosted its gathering. On the same day as their celebration to mark the self-proclaimed rescue of America’s economy, the stock market took a massive tumble, after reports were released showing just how bad of shape the economy is actually in under Democrat single-party rule in DC.

According to economic numbers released the day of the Democrats’ public celebration, inflation is up a whopping 8.3% from this time last year – when it had already hit record highs under Biden’s watch!

Economic figures like that have led to the Democrats’ event being compared to the publicly-held gatherings of Soviet leaders throughout the 20th Century, where they too would openly deny reality for the sake of “The Party,” and tell their starving citizens that they were on the cusp of a major economic turnaround.

“Mr. President, thank you for unifying and inspiring a vision of a stronger, fairer, safer future for all – for our children,” Speaker Pelosi said into the microphone, flanked by her Democrat buddy from the Senate, Chuck Schumer. “Your extraordinary leadership has made this glorious day possible,” Pelosi went on, lauding Biden as the Democrat crowd sat silently, prompting her awkward, Jeb Bush-style moment.

“That’s an applause line!” Pelosi snapped at the audience, who quickly fell into line.

Pelosi’s “that’s an applause line” instructions have almost instantly drawn comparisons to Jeb Bush’s pleas for signs of approval during a 2016 Presidential campaign stump.

Bush, who struggled to even collect the support of 1% of Republican primary voters, had gone on a long tangent about how his prospective presidency would set America and the world straight, but those in attendance sat with their hands in their laps, just as unenthused as Nancy Pelosi’s audience was yesterday.

“Please clap,” Bush begged the audience, in what has become perhaps the most famous moment of his campaign, save for when Donald Trump eviscerated Jeb and the entire Bush family’s disastrous and deadly political legacy on the GOP debate stage.
