Musk to Create ‘TruthGPT’ to Combat AI Bias

Elon Musk, the billionaire owner of Twitter, has voiced concerns over the potential dangers artificial intelligence (AI) poses to humanity.

The Tesla and SpaceX CEO believes that the widely used chatbot, ChatGPT, exhibits a liberal bias, and he intends to address this issue with his own AI solution.

During an interview with Fox News host Tucker Carlson, Musk revealed his plans to create “TruthGPT,” an alternative to ChatGPT.

He described this new AI as a “maximum truth-seeking AI that tries to understand the nature of the universe.”

Musk’s goal is to develop an AI that is focused on understanding humanity to reduce the chances of it becoming a threat.

Musk also expressed his concerns about ChatGPT “being trained” to give politically correct responses.

Furthermore, he emphasized the need for AI regulation, stating that he is a “big fan” and that AI is “more dangerous” than cars or rockets, so much so that it holds the potential to destroy humanity.

Musk has founded a new business named X.AI Corp, as indicated in a Nevada business filing, according to The Associated Press.

The Nevada Secretary of State’s office website shows that the company was formed on March 9, with Musk listed as its director and his advisor, Jared Birchall, as secretary.

Musk informed Carlson that he had originally come up with the name and concept for OpenAI, expressing disappointment that the organization is now associated with Microsoft and no longer functions as a nonprofit.

Since his departure from OpenAI, Musk has been highlighting instances of perceived left-wing bias and censorship in chatbots like ChatGPT, which use filters to prevent the dissemination of toxic or offensive content.
