Elon Musk, the tech magnate who acquired Twitter last year, renaming it “X,” has declared his intention to pursue legal action against certain organizations financially backed by George Soros.
These organizations are alleged to have advocated for a clampdown on freedom of speech.
In a recent development, investigative journalist Michael Shellenberger shared his perspective, indicating that despite claims by “Politicians & George Soros-funded NGOs” about escalating “hate incidents,” the evidence suggests the contrary, according to The Epoch Times.
According to Shellenberger, data highlights “higher-than-ever and rising levels of tolerance of minorities.”
He believes that this erroneous narrative of rising hate incidents is being used to rationalize an undue restriction on free expression.
Endorsing Shellenberger’s viewpoint, Elon Musk responded on X stating, “Exactly. X will be filing legal action to stop this. Can’t wait for discovery to start!”
The concerns surrounding this topic were further highlighted in an article by Irish journalist Ben Scallan.
Scallan pointed out that organizations supported by the Open Society Foundations, established by George Soros, might be advocating a censorship-focused agenda in regions like Ireland and Scotland.
This reportedly includes invasive measures such as police searches in personal spaces.
However, specifics about which particular Soros-affiliated NGOs are pushing this supposed agenda remain unclear, as neither Scallan, Shellenberger, nor Musk provided detailed clarifications.
