Morocco to Name Highway After Trump

President Trump indicated that Morocco is set to name a highway after him.

“Thank you to Highly Respected Mohammed VI, the King of Morocco — Such a Great Honor! I look forward to traveling the entire length of this Great Highway someday, hopefully soon!” he wrote on Truth Social.

The highway stretches more than 655 miles down the country’s coastline, according to the video shared by Trump.

U.S. Ambassador to Morocco Duke Buchan confirmed the development. “The President Donald J. Trump Highway stands as a powerful monument to the visionary leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI – a true partner for peace,” he wrote on X. “The United States, under President Donald J. Trump, maintains an enduring resolve to stand with Morocco for a Moroccan Sahara defined by peace, regional stability, and prosperity for generations to come.”

The development comes as lawmakers and officials have pushed to place Trump’s name on several projects. Governor Ron DeSantis (R-FL) recently signed a bill that officially renamed Palm Beach International Airport as Donald J. Trump International Airport. The House voted 81-30 in support of the bill, while the Senate vote was 25-11.

According to the bill, “The airport located at 1000 James L Turnage Boulevard in West Palm Beach, or nearest thereto, currently known as the ‘Palm Beach International Airport,’ shall be renamed as the ‘President Donald J. Trump International Airport,’ subject to approval of the Federal Aviation Administration and execution of an agreement with the rights holder authorizing the commercial ‘President Donald J. Trump International Airport’ by Palm Beach County.”

Tennessee has also unveiled the President Donald J. Trump Bridge in Dandridge along Interstate 40. The naming aligns with a law passed by the Tennessee General Assembly naming several bridges and roads.
