A radical leftist substitute teacher and anti-police activist was arrested Wednesday in Minneapolis on serious charges involving the exploitation of minors. Preston Palmer, 35, who identifies as nonbinary and has been a vocal critic of law enforcement, was booked into Hennepin County Jail without bail.
Palmer, a third-grade substitute at Sullivan STEAM School, was arrested after a citizen-led operation by activist Alex Rosen, known for targeting suspected child predators. According to Rosen, Palmer arrived at Brackett Park under the belief that he was meeting a 13-year-old boy and his father. Instead, he was met by Rosen, who had posed as the minor during online exchanges.
Minneapolis Park Police confirmed the arrest and stated that officers responded to a report of an adult arranging to exchange illicit material involving minors. Upon arrival, they took the suspect into custody. Police recovered a flash drive allegedly containing thousands of explicit images involving children.
Footage from the arrest shows Palmer being handcuffed and placed into a patrol vehicle. Rosen claimed that this was not Palmer’s first brush with the law, citing confidential sources who indicated previous investigations into similar allegations in 2014 and 2020. However, no charges were filed at the time.
Communications provided to The Post Millennial show disturbing conversations in which Palmer allegedly admitted to possessing large quantities of illegal content and expressed disturbing views toward children. These messages reportedly included admissions of intent and efforts to solicit illegal activity.
Palmer’s social media history reflects radical leftist views, including calls to defund and abolish police departments. In 2020, he actively pressured Minneapolis Public Schools to sever ties with local law enforcement, accusing the department of systemic racism.
Authorities are continuing to investigate, and Palmer remains in custody pending further legal proceedings.
