Filming has begun on a feature-length documentary about former First Lady Melania Trump, offering an unprecedented behind-the-scenes look at her life. The project, set for a global theatrical and streaming release through Amazon Prime Studios, is expected to debut in the second half of 2025.
According to Fox News Digital, filming commenced in December 2024. An Amazon spokesperson described the documentary as a “truly unique story” designed to captivate audiences worldwide.
The announcement comes as Melania Trump prepares to return to the White House, accompanying her husband as he assumes the presidency for a second term. It also follows the remarkable success of her debut memoir, Melania, which offers an intimate account of her life, personal stories, and previously unseen family photos.
“Writing my memoir has been an amazing journey filled with emotional highs and lows,” Melania said. “Each story shaped me into who I am today.”
The documentary is expected to present a fresh perspective on Melania Trump’s life, diverging from the limited and often critical media coverage she received during her husband’s first term. Despite her status as a former model and fashion icon, she was conspicuously absent from major magazine covers during that time, a stark contrast to her widespread admiration among many Americans.
The upcoming film aims to shed light on her experiences, travels, and accomplishments, offering viewers a more comprehensive understanding of one of the most private and enigmatic first ladies in recent history.
Melania made a rare appearance on the presidential campaign trail during Donald Trump’s rally at Madison Square Garden in New York City in October.
“Let us charge together with a shared vision that builds on American greatness. Let’s seize this moment and create a country for tomorrow — the future that we deserve,” Melania Trump said.
Melania was not on the list of expected speakers at the rally but introduced her husband on stage after speaking for around five minutes.
She spoke on the increasing crime issue in not only New York City but across the nation.
“For generations, this town has produced America’s most fearless leaders, whose mark changed the course of the world. New York City and America needs their magic back,” Melania said.
