Melania Trump Says Robots Can Teach Your Kids

First Lady Melania Trump welcomed the First Spouses of 45 countries at the White House as part of a historic summit centered on integrating artificial intelligence into education.

Mrs. Trump arrived at the summit alongside a humanoid robot named Figure.

During her remarks, the first lady declared that the “world is transforming, and through the use of AI, we can now access centuries’ worth of humanity’s knowledge base.”

“The future of AI is ‘personified’ – it will be formed in the shape of humans,” she said. “Very soon, artificial intelligence will move from our mobile phones to humanoids that deliver utility. Since our environment is designed for people, humanoid systems are uniquely suited to navigate and operate within our world. They ‘fit’ well.”

Mrs. Trump suggested that children could be educated by a “humanoid educator named ‘Plato,'” who could “provide a personalized experience, adaptive to the needs of each student.”

“The AI-powered Plato will boost analytical skills and problem solving and adapt in real time to a student’s pace, prior knowledge, and even emotional state,” she explained, noting that an AI educator could lead to a “a more well-rounded lifestyle for our children – freeing-up time for being with friends, playing sports, and developing interests beyond school. A more complete person.”

Melania Trump went on to assert that her initiative, Fostering the Future Together, is “built on the theory that efficiencies derived from artificial intelligence will improve various parts of society, such as commerce, healthcare, and food security, ultimately lifting all economies.”

In announcing the event last week, the White House said Fostering the Future Together’s two-day Global Coalition Summit was “unprecedented.”

“Fostering the Future Together is a long-term initiative, with member nations spanning from multiple continents. A sampling of member nations includes The United States of America, France, Poland, Panama, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, Lithuania, Nigeria, Paraguay, Saudia Arabia, Aruba, Morocco, Kenya, and Israel,” the White House said of the event.
