Video footage from the UFC 264 event in Las Vegas, Nevada on Saturday appears to show President Donald Trump being saluted by “Passion Of The Christ” director and “Braveheart” Oscar winner Mel Gibson.
Gibson could be seen saluting Trump as the 45th U.S. president arrived at the venue to chants of “U-S-A! U-S-A!”

Previous footage of Gibson arriving at the event also appears to confirm that the Academy Award-winning actor is indeed the man saluting Trump.
Though President Trump was omitted from camera shots during the event, multiple fighters noticed and remarked on his presence during their post-fight remarks.
According to USA Today, Trump entered the T-Mobile Arena through the fighter tunnel for the fight between Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier on Saturday night, inspiring the audience to applaud and shout “U-S-A.”
The former president was brought to a seat near the octagon, where New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft was also there to witness the bout.
When McGregor broke his ankle and was unable to finish the bout, Poirier won the main event.
