Man Charged With Hate Crime After Punching Jewish Woman

A man has been charged with hate crime assault after allegedly punching a Jewish woman.

The incident occurred in a New York City subway station.

When asked why he hit a 29-year-old woman, Christopher D’Aguiar (28) said it was because she was Jewish. He then fled the scene.

According to the New York Post, there have been 51 reports of hate crimes in New York City since October 9.

“Of those 51 incidents, 30 of them were anti-Jewish. So, that’s where our increase over the last period is sitting,” said NYPD Chief of Detectives Joseph Kenny.

Thousands of people recently protested in Brooklyn, New York, in an anti-Israel demonstration.

Some of the chants from the protestors included, “Say it loud, say it clear, we don’t want no Zionists here,” “We will free Palestine within our lifetime, “We stand with Palestine,” and “Once upon a time… There was humanity.”

Another New York protest saw activists calling for “one solution.”

The phrase echoes Nazi Germany’s “final solution.”
