Man Arrested for Alleged Attack on UberEats Driver Over Alcohol Delivery

A Central Florida man is facing serious charges after an alleged attack on an UberEats driver over an alcohol delivery dispute.

Volusia County deputies responded to a home in Deltona just after 11 p.m. on Saturday, March 22, following a report of an altercation. The victim, a female UberEats driver, told authorities that she was delivering multiple bottles of alcohol to 31-year-old Myles Webb when the incident occurred.

According to an arrest affidavit, the driver followed company policy and requested Webb’s ID before handing over the alcohol. When Webb refused to provide identification, she informed him that the order would have to be returned to the store.

At that point, Webb allegedly grabbed her from behind, wrenching her left arm and trying to forcefully take the bag of alcohol she was carrying. He then dragged her toward his house and pulled a glass bottle from the bag. The driver managed to break free, causing the bottles to fall to the ground.

The driver’s boyfriend, who was waiting in the car for her safety, rushed over to intervene. Webb allegedly grabbed a glass bottle, raised it aggressively above his head, and threatened the couple, ordering them to leave his property. The couple ran back to their car, while Webb briefly followed before retreating into his home.

When deputies arrived, Webb refused to answer the door. Based on the evidence, law enforcement determined there was probable cause to charge him with two felony counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and one count of simple battery.

Webb was booked into the Volusia County Jail and is scheduled to appear before a judge for his first court hearing on Monday afternoon.
