A recent study by the Trafalgar Group has found that a majority of Americans surveyed would support an investigation into Dr. Anthony Fauci’s management of the pandemic and his previous testimonies, The Blaze reports.
In a survey of over 1,000 likely voters in the general election, respondents were asked if they support a congressional investigation into Dr. Fauci’s “inconsistent testimony about his research leading up to the COVID-19 pandemic” and his “actions in managing the pandemic.”
52% of respondents said “yes,” with 46% responding with “no.”
3% said they were “not sure.”
Although the responses across party lines were vastly different, still resulted in a majority in favor of an investigation.
Only 25.5% of Democrats supported it, with 70% against it.
For Republicans, 80% were supportive of Congress looking into Fauci, while just 17% were not.
Respondents who do not identify with either major party, who made up 25.1% of those surveyed, still had a majority of 56% in favor of an investigation.
53.3% of the survey’s participants were women, and 39.3% identified as Democrats.
The survey, which took place from Jan 9–12, 2023, was conducted a week before the unredacted emails between Dr. Fauci and the National Institutes of Health revealed his attempts to dismiss theories about the origins of COVID-19, The Blaze points out.
