A majority of U.S. voters are unhappy about a plea deal that has kept Hunter Biden, the son of President Joe Biden, out of federal prison, a new national survey by Rasmussen Reports reveals.
Released on Wednesday, the poll indicates a notable level of disapproval and suspicion of favoritism in Biden’s case.
“The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 55% of Likely U.S. Voters disapprove of the deal in which Hunter Biden agreed to plead guilty on charges that he violated federal tax and gun laws, including 41% who Strongly Disapprove,” states the report.
According to the data, only 37% approve of the plea bargain, out of which merely 19% strongly endorse it.
This stark difference indicates a significant level of dissatisfaction among the voters regarding Hunter Biden’s case.
Rasmussen Reports conducted the survey among 1,054 Likely U.S. Voters between June 28-29 and July 2, 2023.
The survey has a margin of sampling error of +/- 3 percentage points, suggesting a high level of accuracy and confidence in the findings.
