A recent CNN poll has disclosed that a significant portion of Americans suspect that President Joe Biden was implicated in his son Hunter Biden’s business transactions in Ukraine and China during his vice presidency tenure.

As per the data collected by SSRS, 61% of the participants feel that the President had some level of participation in these dealings.

Interestingly, 42% of these respondents assert their belief that “he acted illegally,” whereas 18% consider his supposed involvement as “unethical but not illegal.”

Contrasting this, 38% are confident that Biden Sr. had no say in Hunter’s businesses, and a negligible 1% think he was involved without committing any wrongdoing.

Furthermore, when questioned about the ongoing probe into Hunter Biden’s potential misdemeanors, 55% voiced their opinion that the president has “acted inappropriately,” while the remaining 44% see his actions as fitting.

This information precedes special counsel David Weiss’s announcement, revealing his intention “to seek an indictment against Hunter Biden relating to gun charges by the end of the month,” according to CNN.

On his part, President Biden has consistently disclaimed any association with his son’s business matters.

Reinforcing his stance, no concrete evidence has yet surfaced, linking the President to any monetary gain from Hunter’s business ventures, as noted by House Oversight Republicans.

The poll also highlights a clear partisan split.

Among Democrats, less than a third opine that Biden had a stake in Hunter’s ventures.

Even from those who lean Democratic but wish for a different nominee in the upcoming presidential race, a mere 37% feel Biden was engaged in his son’s affairs, and just 29% deem “his actions regarding the investigation inappropriate.”

Delving into their prime reservations about Biden’s candidacy, almost none pointed toward the Hunter Biden situation.

Conversely, a whopping 76% of Republicans are inclined to believe that Biden’s actions pertaining to his son’s dealings were illegal.

Moreover, an overwhelming 90% think he hasn’t conducted himself appropriately during the investigation into Hunter Biden.

On the independent front, 64% assume some level of involvement from Biden Sr. in Hunter’s business matters, but only 39% accuse him of any illegality.

Roughly 52% criticize his handling of the ongoing probe.

This comprehensive poll, managed by SSRS from August 25-31, engaged a diverse national sample of 1,503 adults, CNN notes.

The sampling included an additional segment to encompass 898 Republicans and Republican-leaning individuals, ensuring a balanced representation.
