Poll Shows MAGA Conservatives Strongly Support Israel

A new Vandenberg Coalition–TargetPoint poll reveals overwhelming MAGA conservative support for U.S. military aid to Israel, with 90 percent backing the Jewish state’s right to defend itself against Iran, Hamas, and other hostile actors. The survey found that 83 percent of all Trump voters agree the United States should “continue its strong military support for Israel,” while only 7 percent of MAGA conservatives disagreed.

The data challenges media claims that younger Trump voters are turning against Israel. According to the poll, “85 percent of ‘young MAGA voters’ (under the age of 45) continue to support Israel,” debunking narratives pushed by some pundits.

The results come as President Donald Trump’s administration ramps up its crackdown on anti-Semitic protests, which surged after Hamas’s Oct. 7, 2023, terrorist attack. The administration has revoked billions in federal funding from universities that failed to protect Jewish students and banned foreign students who openly support Hamas or other terrorist groups. Seventy-eight percent of Trump voters approve of the visa revocation policy.

Iran remains a top concern for Trump supporters. The poll shows 82 percent view the Islamic Republic as a national security threat, while 93 percent say stopping Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon is “important” to them. Last month, Trump warned Tehran, “we’ll wipe it out faster than you can wave your finger at it” if it pursues uranium enrichment after U.S. bunker-buster strikes on its nuclear facilities in June.
