Macy Gray Pushes Back Against Transgender Ideology: ‘I Don’t Think You Should Be Called Transphobic Just Because You Don’t Agree’

During an interview with Piers Morgan posted to Twitter on Monday afternoon, singer Macy Gray said several things that could put her in the crosshairs of some gender ideology activists.

For starters, unlike the so-called experts featured in Matt Walsh’s recent documentary, Gray had no difficulty answering the question “What is a woman?”

“A human being with boobs,” Gray said, laughing. “You should start there.”

“And a vagina!” she quickly added, raising her index finger to punctuate the point.

However, Gray also stated unequivocally that having surgery to create “boobs” and a vagina does not turn a biological male into a female.

“And I will say this — and everybody’s gonna hate me — as a woman, just because you go change your parts doesn’t make you a woman,” Gray admitted. “Sorry.”

“Right,” Morgan agreed.

Gray then elaborated more on the subject, explaining that women are not just a collection of particular body parts but are total beings who experience the world and life in an entirely different way than men do.

“Women go through just a completely unique experience. And surgery or finding yourself doesn’t change that,” Gray said. “You know, being a little girl is a whole epic book. You know? And you can’t have that just because you want to be a woman.”

Though both Gray and Morgan repeatedly reaffirmed their support for the rights of transgender people to live according to their perceived internal identity and to have others abide by that internal identity, they also pushed back against accusations of transphobia leveled at others who don’t agree with the concept of transgenderism or who object to biological males taking over women’s sports.

“I don’t think you should be called transphobic just because you don’t agree with” the transgender movement, Gray said. “There’s a lot of, you know, judgment and throwing, you know, stones at people for just saying what [biological sex] is.”

Morgan, who has had his own run-ins with the transgender mob, suggested to Gray that she might become their next target.

“But it’s the truth!” Gray responded, in reference to biological sex.

Gray is not the only celebrity to admit publicly that men and women are different and that the increasingly fascistic transgender movement threatens to erase women as a meaningful category. J.K. Rowling has long held firm that biological women and girls are fundamentally different from transwomen. And now Bette Midler has weighed in, lamenting that so many people “don’t call us ‘women’ anymore; they call us ‘birthing people’ or ‘menstruators’, and even ‘people with vaginas’!

“Don’t let them erase you! Every human on earth owes you!” Midler said recently in a tweet.
