Leftist Healthcare Group Launches ‘Stop RFK War Room’

A left-wing healthcare organization launched “Stop RFK War Room” in an effort to threaten Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s nomination as Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).

According to Influence Watch, the organization, Protect Our Care, is a “left-of-center healthcare advocacy organization created to lobby for the preservation of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act,” also called Obamacare.

“We’re nowhere near conceding he’s going to be the next HHS secretary,” said Protect Our Care’s executive director Brad Woodhouse during an organizing call attended by Politico.

The “Stop RFK War Room” initiative is designed to persuade moderate Republican senators to oppose Kennedy.

While Woodhouse noted that some of Kennedy’s ideas have support, such as banning food additives, his views on vaccines and cutting funding for several agencies are “too dangerous.”

“Just because Hannibal Lecter has a couple good ideas on something, doesn’t mean I want to invite Hannibal Lecter to dinner,” he said during the call.

Woodhouse told The Hill that the idea of Kennedy “being in a place where his voice carries more weight than it does today… is dangerous and will put people’s lives at risk.”

“For too long, Americans have been crushed by the industrial food complex and drug companies who have engaged in deception, misinformation, and disinformation when it comes to Public Health,” Trump wrote upon announcing Kennedy’s role. “The Safety and Health of all Americans is the most important role of any Administration, and HHS will play a big role in helping ensure that everybody will be protected from harmful chemicals, pollutants, pesticides, pharmaceutical products, and food additives that have contributed to the overwhelming Health Crisis in this Country. Mr. Kennedy will restore these Agencies to the traditions of Gold Standard Scientific Research, and beacons of Transparency, to end the Chronic Disease epidemic, and to Make America Great and Healthy Again!”
