According to election board records, Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson spent $30,000 on hair and makeup during his first year in office.
The Chicago Sun-Times reported that most of the money went to makeup artist Denise Milloy’s Makeup Majic.
Records revealed that more than 30 payments were reported to her in 2023 and 2024.
“Johnson’s predecessor Lori Lightfoot paid an Evanston business about $2,000 total for “event-makeup services” listed under four expenditures last year in her campaign filings,” the outlet continued.
“Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle paid $217 to a South Side woman in 2019 for makeup, she reported.”
In June 2023, American Faith reported that crime in the city of Chicago increased by 38% in the first month of far-left Mayor Brandon Johnson’s time in office.
Total crime in Chicago between May 15-June 11 2023 grew 38% compared to the same dates the previous year.
Aggravated batteries increased by 17% while burglaries increased by 12%.
Criminal sexual assaults, shootings, and car thefts also increased.
