Former Trump advisor Jenna Ellis stated that a judge ordering a two-day trial over Kari Lake’s election lawsuit is a “huge threshold victory” for election integrity. By ordering a trial, Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Peter Thompson believed there to be “sufficient evidence” to continue the lawsuit. “Regardless of whether or not that’s exactly enough time or the judge ultimately ends up extending that timeframe, if there needs to be more presentation of evidence or additional arguments, two days, in my view, is at least a huge threshold victory,” explained Ellis.

Lake said the trial is set to begin on Dec. 20 and that her team will have four whistleblowers testifying, including someone from Runbeck Election Services, a vendor used by Maricopa County. ... Ellis said verifying the authenticity of batches of ballots in Maricopa County was a major issue after the 2020 presidential election as well, and that county officials do not provide this information freely. Compounding the problem is that the mainstream media echoes what the election officials are saying instead of covering both sides evenly, she said. If Lake’s legal team can show that anything close to the 135,000 alleged illegal ballots were counted, that would rise above the margin of victory for Hobbs.
