Kari Lake Wins Right to Bring Election Fraud Case to Trial

Arizona Republican gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake won the right to take her election fraud case to court this week.

QUICK FACTS:
  • Gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake will be presenting her case in trial after Judge Peter Thompson dismissed Democrat Katie Hobbs’ attempt to dismiss the lawsuit.
  • Thompson dismissed eight out of ten counts in the lawsuit, but ruled that two of the counts involving printers malfunctioning and ballot chain of custody issues could go to trial.
  • The judge said Lake must prove during the case that someone interfered with the printers in violation of Arizona law.
  • Thompson also said that Lake will also need to prove that noncompliance “was both intentional and did in fact result in a changed outcome.”
  • “It is ordered that the parties shall meet and confer to provide the Court with the list of witnesses to be called by each party together with anticipated time required for direct, cross, and re-direct examinations as well as opening statements and closing arguments by 12:00 noon on Tuesday, December 20, 2022,” the judge stated.
ARIZONA REPUBLICAN GUBERNATORIAL CANDIDATE KARI LAKE ON ELECTION FRAUD ALLEGATIONS IN MARICOPA COUNTY:

“They messed with the wrong woman,” Lake said. “We’re not going to take it anymore.”

BACKGROUND:
  • Lake claimed in the lawsuit that hundreds of thousands of ballots had no chain of custody documentation, a massive violation of the law.
  • The Republican candidate also said that twenty-five thousand ballots were added to Maricopa County’s totals after election day and hundreds of thousands of mail-in ballots with mismatched signatures were illegally counted towards Hobbs’ total.
  • After Maricopa County certified its election on November 28th, Lake said Maricopa County “just couldn’t wait to certify their botched election,” during which “half of Election Day voting centers were inoperable.”
  • “Maricopa County, where it took two weeks to count [votes], is the poster child for broken, botched elections,” Lake continued.
  • The gubernatorial contender vowed Sunday night during Turning Point USA’s “America Fest” to take her election challenge all the way to the Supreme Court.
