Judge Suggests Migrants are Taken to a ‘Concentration Camp’

Wisconsin Circuit Judge Monica Isham has threatened to refuse to hold court after Judge Hannah Dugan was arrested for hiding an illegal immigrant from federal authorities.

“Guidance requested or I Refuse to Hold Court,” read an email sent by Isham and obtained by Wisconsin Right Now. “If there is no guidance for us and no support for us, I will refuse to hold court in Branch 2 in Sawyer County. I will not put myself or my staff who may feel compelled to help me or my community in harms way.”

Isham went on to claim that those arrested are taken to “a concentration camp.”

“I have no intention of allowing anyone to be taken out of my courtroom by ICE and sent to a concentration camp, especially without due process, as BOTH of the constitutions we swore to support require,” she wrote, referring to the state constitution as well as the U.S. Constitution. “Should I start raising bail money?”

“If this costs me my job or gets me arrested, then at least I know I did the right thing,” the judge added.

Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights Harmeet Dhillon called Isham’s email “problematic” in a statement on X.

Dugan was arrested last week on obstruction charges after hindering an immigration operation.

“We believe Judge Dugan intentionally misdirected federal agents away from the subject to be arrested in her courthouse, Eduardo Flores Ruiz, allowing the subject — an illegal alien — to evade arrest,” FBI Director Kash Patel said at the time.
