John Kerry Calls for Radical Transformation of Agriculture to Combat ‘Climate Crisis’

Biden’s Special Presidential Envoy for Climate, John Kerry, said farming practices need to be transformed in order to reach “net zero” carbon emissions.

“A lot of people have no clue that agriculture contributes about 33 percent of all the emissions of the world, depending a little bit on how you count it, but it’s anywhere from 26 to 33,” Kerry said during the AIM for Climate Summit.

“And we can’t get to net zero, we don’t get this job done, unless agriculture is front and center as part of the solution. So all of us understand here. The depths of this mission,” he continued.

“This sector needs innovation now more than ever,” Kerry said, later adding, “We need economic, social and policy innovation in order to scale adaptation of these technical solutions and get them into the hands of folks in the fields of smallholder farmers on a worldwide basis.”

Some of these innovations likely include meat reductions, heavy regulations, and potentially synthetic meat or bug products.

Reporting from InfoWars:

Kerry’s controversial statements didn’t sit well with many conservatives who are already alarmed by the left-wing “green” movement being used to radically alter modern society and destroy the fossil fuel industry with no relevant replacement.

Former GOP Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee commented on Kerry’s remarks in a Twitter post, writing, “I pick farmers over arrogant, smug & human gasbag John Kerry who says small Farmers Now ‘Front and Center’ to Save the Earth. We NEED farmers. We can live w/o John Kerry’s elitist ignorance of how food supply works.”
