President Joe Biden on Thursday stumbled and fell on stage following his address and the presentation of diplomas to the graduating class at the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs.

The 80-year-old managed to regain his footing with the assistance of several Air Force officials and Secret Service agents and was able to resume his seat without further incident.

This event was documented in video footage that has since become viral on social media platforms.

In the recorded video, Biden can be seen tripping, falling to his knees, and subsequently bracing his fall with his hands on the stage.

The octogenarian was moving back to his seat after handing out the final diploma when the incident occurred.

His address to the graduates had just concluded moments prior.

Ben LaBolt, the White House Communications Director, told the public about Biden’s condition in a tweet posted later that day, blaming the ordeal on an object on the stage.

LaBolt stated, “He’s fine,” noting that “[t]here was a sandbag on stage while he was shaking hands.”

Despite the occurrence on Thursday, a White House official confirmed that the President was in good health and feeling “totally fine.”

It is important to note that this is not the first instance of President Biden having a public mishap.

Previously, on March 21, 2021, he stumbled while ascending the stairs to board Air Force One before a journey to Georgia.

Furthermore, Biden had a fall from his bike on June 18, 2022, while waving to a gathering during a morning cycle in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware.
