Joe Biden Promising Four Free COVID Tests To Americans

The White House promised Tuesday Joe Biden’s website will now be providing four free COVID tests per household.

QUICK FACTS:
  • Families can now request free tests to be sent directly to their address by filling out their information on covidtests.gov, officials said.
  • The tests will take between seven to twelve days to ship after an order is placed, although the website remains in the beginning phase of the programming and testing process.
  • In honor of his upcoming year anniversary of being President, Biden will hold a press conference today and officially launch the website.
PRESS SECRETARY JEN PSAKI ON THE EFFICIENCY OF THE TESTING ROLLOUT:

“Every website launch in our view comes with risk. We can’t guarantee there won’t be a bug or two.”

BACKGROUND:
  • This COVID test initiative has arrived weeks after Americans were unable to gain access to tests or faced long lines at testing centers over the holidays, Breitbart reported.
  • The Biden administration faced intense scrutiny over the test shortages during the past few weeks as the Omicron variant spread rapidly across the United States.
  • According to the New York Post, COVID cases have now gone down by 47 percent in a week, with the numbers expected to continue to decline in the coming weeks.
