Two buses transporting Jewish students from a London school were attacked by approximately ten teenagers from a nearby school, who wielded large rocks, as reported by the Jewish Chronicle.
Four of the assailants boarded one of the double-decker buses, ascended to the upper level, and subjected the students to a barrage of profanities and obscene gestures.
A 12-year-old student recounted the ordeal, stating, “They were swearing at us, saying ‘[Expletive] Israel, nobody likes you. [Expletive] off, you [expletive].’ They were filming us like they were enjoying it. There were lots of people in the street and nobody tried to stop them.”
After disembarking, the attackers hurled heavy rocks at the buses. An 11-year-old student expressed her fear, noting, “I don’t know where they got the rocks from – maybe they had them in their bags. None of us knew what to do.”
She added that while some students fled the bus, she remained onboard, enduring further verbal abuse and being filmed by the perpetrators. She voiced concerns about the potential misuse of the footage, stating, “We don’t know what they are going to do with that video or why they did what they did.”
This incident is part of a disturbing surge in antisemitic attacks across London. Recently, a 14-year-old Jewish girl sustained head and facial injuries after being assaulted with glass bottles in Stamford Hill.
