It’s Midnight in America

It’s Midnight in America!
The church is asleep and slumbering in the night. Like Samson, we do not know that the power has departed, and like those who sleep, we are unaware of what is happening around us. We cling to our comfort like a child holding a toy.

It’s Midnight in America!
The Spirit of fear has paralyzed us to believe the ancient lie that appeasement is better than courage. The church is so hungry to be accepted by the world that it has relinquished its power, forfeited its birthright, and accepted its place as a non-essential business.

It’s Midnight in America!
Lost in a maze of appeasement, the church expects little from God. Is it any wonder why we don’t see more signs, wonders, and miracles? Gone are the days of the bold prophets who spoke out against the sins of a nation. Gone are the days of the courageous prophets who spoke out against the sins of a nation.

It’s Midnight in America!
We are on the doorstep of the return of Christ. Every day we see more and more signs of His return. But are we ready?

In 1927, Smith Wigglesworth said,”There must be special preparation for the return of Christ, and at least half of all believers will be totally unprepared.”

Jesus tells the story of The 10 Virgins, who fell asleep while waiting for the Return of Christ.

Matthew 25:1-5 “Then the kingdom of heaven shall be likened to ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. Now five of them were wise, and five were foolish. Those who were foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them, but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. But while the bridegroom was delayed, they all slumbered and slept.”

The Lamp [Word of God]The Oil [Holy Spirit]

Smith Wigglesworth “When the Word and Spirit combine, we shall see the greatest move the church of Jesus Christ has ever seen.”

Matthew 25:6-9 “And at Midnight a cry was heard: ‘Behold, the bridegroom is coming; go out to meet him!’ Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’ But the wise answered, saying, ‘No, lest there should not be enough for us and you; but go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.’ The Time of His Return Matthew 24:36-37 “But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only. But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.” Revelation 16:15 “Behold, I am coming as a thief. Blessed is he who watches, and keeps his garments, lest he walk naked and they see his shame.”

Matthew 25:10-13 “And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding, and the door was shut. Afterward, the other virgins came also, saying, ‘Lord, Lord, open to us!’ But he answered and said, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, I do not know you.’ “Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming.
