An Israeli airstrike on a residential building in Nabatieh, southern Lebanon, killed around 10 people, including two children, all of whom were Syrian citizens, according to Lebanon’s state news agency NNA.
The Israeli military claimed the strike targeted a Hezbollah weapons depot.
The strike followed paused ceasefire talks between Hamas and Israel. In retaliation, Hezbollah launched rockets at northern Israel, wounding two soldiers.
Tensions have escalated in the region, with recent violence including rocket strikes and targeted killings on both sides.
