Just the News reported that the Israel Defense Force (IDF) is expanding its ground operation in Gaza.
The IDF struck several targets on the outskirts of Gaza City, according to CBS News.
Spokesman Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari said on Thursday that the ground raids are meant to “uncover the enemy” and “prepare the ground for the next stages of the war.”
No Israeli casualties resulted from the recent strike, although a Hamas commander was reportedly killed.
An estimated 8,400 people have died since the beginning of the war between Hamas and Israel, including 33 Americans.
